  • Canvas maximization bug?

    I must've killed over an hour on what seems to me like strange behaviour that happens in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. I've tried using various ways of obtaining the document dimensions, including nesting canvas in a 100% wide & tall absolutely positioned div, as well as extracting the document.documentElement.clientWidth/Height properties. Just to be sure I'm not going insane, I've placed an image in place of the canvas, and voila, the same code worked perfectly to stretch the image out to document dimensions. What am I doing wrong here? I'm too tired to understand. Must.. drink.. something.

  • Simple JPG/HTML Not Showing Up in iPhone

    I'm not familiar with iPhones wants and needs, nor do I have one, but a client wants a screen cap of his site to show up when an iPhone user comes around so I created an .htaccess redirect to an iPhone specific page with this bit of code...     Following up my previous question, I'm slowly getting the hang of FParsec (though I do find it particularly hard to grok). My next newbie F# question is, how do I extract data from the list the parser creates? For example, I loaded the sample code from the previous question into a module called Parser.fs, and added a very simple unit test in a separate module (with the appropriate references). I'm using XUnit: open Xunit [<Fact>] let Parse_1_ShouldReturnListContaining1 () = let interim = Parser.parse("1") Assert.False(List.isEmpty(interim)) let head = interim.Head // I realise that I have only one item in the list this time Assert.Equal("1", ???) Interactively, when I execute parse "1" the response is: val it : Element list = [Number "1"] and by tweaking the list of valid operators, I can run parse "1+1" to get: val it : Element list = [Number "1"; Operator "+"; Number "1"] What do I need to put in place of my ??? in the snippet above? And how do I check that it is a Number, rather than an Operator, etc.?

  • Using variables before include()ing them

    I'm using a file, page.php, as an HTML container for several content files; i.e., page.php defines most of the common structure of the page, and the content files just contain the text that's unique to every page. What I would like to do is include some PHP code with each content file that defines metadata for the page such as its title, a banner graphic to use, etc. For example, a content file might look like this (simplified): <?php $page_title="My Title"; ?> <h1>Hello world!</h1> The name of the file would be passed as a URL parameter to page.php, which would look like this: <html> <head> <title><?php echo $page_title; ?></title> </head> <body> <?php include($_GET['page']); ?> </body> </html> The problem with this approach is that the variable gets defined after it is used, which of course won't work. Output buffering also doesn't seem to help. Is there an alternate approach I can use? I'd prefer not to define the text in the content file as a PHP heredoc block, because that smashes the HTML syntax highlighting in my text editor. I also don't want to use JavaScript to rewrite page elements after the fact, because many of these pages don't otherwise use JavaScript and I'd rather not introduce it as a dependency if I don't have to.

    Hi, I want to create an html page inside a asp.net page using c# and then request that html page. The flow is, I'll be creating a request that will give me a response with some values. Those values will be stored in hidden fields in the html page I'm creating on the fly and then requesting.   • Embedded CSS Media Queries Not Working

    I am new to CSS media queries, and I was first trying to get pdf/mp3/mp4 buttons to get centered on this page whenever a mobile device is using it (http://www.mannachurch.org/portfolio-type/recycled-junk/). Keep in mind for that I am using a highly modified wordpress theme. So I tried experimenting to isolate this issue.     I'm using Facebook's Javascript SDK to allow login/logout, and my problem is that when I use their window.fbAsyncInit call to initiate the FB session, it always fires twice. I've included a simplified code sample. My following CSS and html works fine with IE9 if i double click the file and open with the IE9 , however if the border property does not work in IE if i open the file through LOCALHOST (xampp insatlled on windows 7). The same file works fine on localhost with other browsers.
