how to: re-assemble machine generated classes from xsd files to their original nested state.

Hi everyone, I'm working in Visual Studio 2008 using c#. Let's say I have 2 xsd files e.g "Envelope.xsd" and "Body.xsd" I create 2 sets of classes by running xsd.exe, creating something like "Envelope.cs" and "Body.cs", so far so good. I can't figure out how to link the two classes to serialize (using XmlSerializer) into the proper nested xml, i.e: I want: <Envelope><DocumentTitle>Title</DocumentTitle><Body>Body Info</Body></Envelope> But I get: <Envelope><DocumentTitle>Title</DocumentTitle></Envelope><Body>Body Info</Body> Could someone perhaps show me how the two .cs classes should look to enable XmlSerializer to runt the desired nested result? Create a many to many relationship in Entity Framework skipping extra data in the link table.

I would like to model the following many to many relationship. Table A ID Field1 Field2 Table B ID Field1 Field2 LinkTable A_ID B_ID Field_I_want_to_ignore As I understand it, if LinkTable.Field_I_want_to_ignore was not present, the Entity Model Designer would automatically create a Many to Many relationship between entity A and entity B. However, because this field exists in the database the designer won't do it for me. I can delete the Field_I_want_to_ignore from the LinkTable Entity that the designer created for me, but how do I eliminate the LinkTable entity altogether and create the many to many relationship I want? I'm not averse to digging through the XML, just at the moment I can't see how to achieve what I want.

Hi there, I have a flash animation with the size of 1280x1024 and I want to embed it into an HTML file. I want the flash file to be displayed in 800x600. This is my code: <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <body align="center"> <object> <param name="movie" value="/flash/connect.swf" /> <embed src="/flash/connect.swf" width="800" height="600"></embed> </object> </body> </html> Well, it doesn't work. Why can I not register a PropertyEditor for String in Spring MVC?

I'm using Spring 3.0.3. I've enabled the default ConversionService by adding this line to my Spring configuration XML. <mvc:annotation-driven/> I'm also using custom PropertyEditor's for certain data types, so I've registered them for corresponding data types like the following and they work fine. webDataBinder.registerCustomEditor(Date.class, new MyPropertyEditor()); I have a custom tag library that extends Spring's Form tag library, and I can acess these PropertyEditor's through getPropertyEditor() of AbstractDataBoundFormElementTag. What I don't understand is that I can't register a custom PropertyEditor for String for some reason. The following wouldn't work. webDataBinder.registerCustomEditor(String.class, new MyPropertyEditor()); When I do getPropertyEditor(), it always returns a ConvertingPropertyEditorAdapter, instead of MyPropertyEditor. Is this a bug? EDIT: I realized that I didn't do some stuff right. Spring works just fine.

hi, I have methods which return interface and some methods which accepts interface as parameters. I am trying to use Net DataContractSerializer but I am getting following error... The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter http://tempuri.org/:id. The InnerException message was 'Error in line 1 position 120. XML 'Element' 'http://tempuri.org/:id' does not contain expected attribute 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization/:Type'. The deserializer has no knowledge of which type to deserialize. Check that the type being serialized has the same contract as the type being deserialized.'. Please see InnerException for more details. Please help me how to resolve this error.... If I use Netdatacontract attribute on Operation Contract, can i use DataContract and Datamember attribute on serializable class??? Thanks in advance...

Best way to reuse a footer menu in Android

I'm trying to implement a menu in the footer of an app, similar to i.e. the Engadget app. As I understand, getting a standard TabLayout to work in this way is not trivial (if at all possible?). As I see quite a few apps using this interface paradigm, I would assume there is a clever way of doing it. Currently, I'm defining the layout by adding an include line at the end of every layout. This works fine as far as rendering is concerned, but I have to add the onClickListeners to each activity. can we define clickListener through XML? To sum up my question: What is the best way to implement a shared footer navigation accross several Activities?

amCharts issue with Flex

HI I am working with amCharts at the moment and was wondering if somebody could give me some sort of guidance on the matter. I am using Flex to call a server side php file which then returns some xml data. This works perfectly and efficiently. I then add this data to the chart will also works quite well. However as I try to use the scroll bar on the chart, it seems to zoom out and delete all my data. I cant figure this out at all. The same thing happens when i click the show all button.

My current attempt looks something like this: [xmlDocument setCharacterEncoding: @"US-ASCII"]; NSData* data = [image TIFFRepresentation]; NSString* string = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:data encoding:NSASCIIStringEncoding]; //Put string inside of NSXMLElement, write out NSXMLDocument. Reading back in looks something like this: NSXMLDocument* newXMLDocument = [[NSXMLDocument alloc] initWithData:data options:0 error:outError]; //Here's where it fails. I get: //Error Domain=NSXMLParserErrorDomain Code=9 UserInfo=0x100195310 "Line 7: Char 0x0 out of allowed range" I assume I'm missing something basic. What's up with this encoding issue?

Apache deflate with chucked encoding

I'm expiriencing some problem with one of my data source services. As it says in HTTP response headers it's running on Apache-Coyote/1.1. Server gives responses with Transfer-Encoding: chunked, here sample response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 Transfer-Encoding: chunked Date: Tue, 30 Mar 2010 06:13:52 GMT And problem is when I'm requesting server to send gzipped request it often sends not full response. I recieve response, see that last chunk recived, but then after ungzipping I see that response is partial. So my question is: is it common apache issue? maybe one of it's mod_deflate plugins or something? Ask questions if you need more info. Thanks.

Using ASP.NET (C#) I have set up Authorization Manager to allow me to handle roles on a website. Added users to roles is simple Roles.AddUserToRole("DOMAIN\\UserName", "role"). However I want to list the users belonging to a role, but since they are stored as SID's, displaying them would not be that helpful. To get the users, I am thinking XML would have to be used, although is it possible to use COM Interop to both do that and get the user name? Either way, how can I get the users belonging to a role? The table to manage roles would basically be like this: Role User ---- ---- admin DOMAIN\UserName [delete] DOMAIN\UserName2 [delete] [add user text box] news DOMAIN\UserName3 [delete] [add user text box]

Hi, I have a SSIS package used the protection level as "DontSaveSensitive" So initially i have saved the oledb connection manager password as in a XML config file.And this worked fine for me. Now for business requiremnt i have stored the configuration in sql server. Including password. Initially it worked fine.But suddenly connection manager is not taking password from sqlDB. If i set an environment variable for the "password" it's working. My question is. 1) what is the solution for this.( i can only save the configurations in sql) 2) initially how it worked.I mean initailly from sql server the password was taking. I'm using NetBeans 6.8 and Tomcat 6.0.xx. I've created a custom realm and updated the NetBeans project build.xml to deploy the realm to Tomcat. When I debug the project, NetBeans starts the Tomcat server and makes an initial HTTP GET request for 'manager/list'. Tomcat graciously hands this request off to my custom realm for authentication. The request gets denied and NetBeans displays the following error in the output window: (note: error is displayed after NetBeans gets access denied) Access to Tomcat server has not been authorized. Set the correct username and password with the "manager" role in the Tomcat customizer in the Server Manager. Do I have something incorrectly configured? How do I prevent NetBeans from issuing this initial request? Thanks, Drew

When the classloader of the jar looks for "META-INF" folder - it should find the META-INF folder of the jar and not the one found by its parent classloader - that is the plugin A's META-INF folder. So I want to change the classloader policy to 'child-first' rather than 'parent-first' Is it possible to do this by changing the plugin A's Manifest or plugin.xml?

HyperJAXB and IDREFs

I have eventually managed to fiddle HyperJAXB so that when XSD has complexType A and this has an IDREF to complexType B, then HyperJAXB will generate @OneToOne JPA annotations between the the two generated entities. However now I'm facing another problem: the XSD has complex type X that can IDREF to either complex type Y or complex type Z. In the end, I need instance of complex type X contain reference to either instance of class Y or class Z. Do you have any wild ideas how can this be done without manual alterations to the generated classes? And at the same time to make sure these entities are marshalled to a correct XML? How about using the JAXB plugin that allows generating classes so that they implement a particular interface? Could that lead anywhere?

Hello everyone, i am having problem with running an example from qt which uses win32 libraries when i compile i dnt get any errors but when i run it is not able to open the application (.exe) file in windows 7.but when i compile this example in windowsXP it works fine. can anyone let me know whether i need to change my .pro file inorder to get it worked under windows 7.
