  • curl_multi_exec stops if one url is 404, how can I change that?

    - by Rob
    Currently, my cURL multi exec stops if one url it connects to doesn't work, so a few questions: 1: Why does it stop? That doesn't make sense to me. 2: How can I make it continue? EDIT: Here is my code: $SQL = mysql_query("SELECT url FROM shells") ; $mh = curl_multi_init(); $handles = array(); while($resultSet = mysql_fetch_array($SQL)){ //load the urls and send GET data $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url'] . $fullcurl); //Only load it for two seconds (Long enough to send the data) curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 5); curl_multi_add_handle($mh, $ch); $handles[] = $ch; } // Create a status variable so we know when exec is done. $running = null; //execute the handles do { // Call exec. This call is non-blocking, meaning it works in the background. curl_multi_exec($mh,$running); // Sleep while it's executing. You could do other work here, if you have any. sleep(2); // Keep going until it's done. } while ($running > 0); // For loop to remove (close) the regular handles. foreach($handles as $ch) { // Remove the current array handle. curl_multi_remove_handle($mh, $ch); } // Close the multi handle curl_multi_close($mh);

  • MAPI find the contacts and calendar folder

    - by Rogier21
    In my outlook I have 1 exchange connection and 2 Personal Folders. I want to go fetch ALL items from the calendars and contacts so I use: /** * Create outlook application */ Outlook.Application oApp = new Outlook.Application(); Outlook.NameSpace oNS = oApp.GetNamespace("mapi"); oNS.Logon(Missing.Value, Missing.Value, true, true); /** * Loop through all the folders */ foreach (Outlook.MAPIFolder oFolder in oNS.Folders) { if (oFolder.Name == "Public Folders") { break; } /** * Get calendar items */ //Outlook.MAPIFolder oCalendar = oNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderCalendar); Outlook.MAPIFolder oCalendar = oFolder.Folders[5]; Outlook.Items oCalendarItems = oCalendar.Items; //Outlook.MAPIFolder oContacts = oNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderContacts); Outlook.MAPIFolder oContacts = oFolder.Folders[7]; Outlook.Items oContactItems = oContacts.Items; But this does not work oFolder.Folders[5] is not always 5 for the calendar, sometimes it's a different value. I cannot find the items by name oFolder.Folders["Calendar"]; because in Dutch the folder will be named "Agenda". Usually I use: Outlook.MAPIFolder oCalendar = oNS.GetDefaultFolder(Outlook.OlDefaultFolders.olFolderCalendar); But then I only get the default calendar. How can I get the other calendars?

  • How to properly translate the "var" result of a lambda expression to a concrete type?

    - by CrimsonX
    So I'm trying to learn more about lambda expressions. I read this question on stackoverflow, concurred with the chosen answer, and have attempted to implement the algorithm using a console app in C# using a simple LINQ expression. My question is: how do I translate the "var result" of the lambda expression into a usable object that I can then print the result? I would also appreciate an in-depth explanation of what is happening when I declare the outer => outer.Value.Frequency (I've read numerous explanations of lambda expressions but additional clarification would help) C# //Input : {5, 13, 6, 5, 13, 7, 8, 6, 5} //Output : {5, 5, 5, 13, 13, 6, 6, 7, 8} //The question is to arrange the numbers in the array in decreasing order of their frequency, preserving the order of their occurrence. //If there is a tie, like in this example between 13 and 6, then the number occurring first in the input array would come first in the output array. List<int> input = new List<int>(); input.Add(5); input.Add(13); input.Add(6); input.Add(5); input.Add(13); input.Add(7); input.Add(8); input.Add(6); input.Add(5); Dictionary<int, FrequencyAndValue> dictionary = new Dictionary<int, FrequencyAndValue>(); foreach (int number in input) { if (!dictionary.ContainsKey(number)) { dictionary.Add(number, new FrequencyAndValue(1, number) ); } else { dictionary[number].Frequency++; } } var result = dictionary.OrderByDescending(outer => outer.Value.Frequency); // How to translate the result into something I can print??

  • what makes a Tomcat5.5 cannot be "aware" of new Java Web Applications?

    - by Michael Mao
    This is for uni homework, but I reckon it is more a generic problem to the Tomcat Server(version 5.5.27) on my uni. The problem is, I first did a skeleton Java Web Application (Just a simple Servlet and a welcome-file, nothing complicated, no lib included) using NetBeans 6.8 with the bundled Tomcat 6.0.20 (localhost:8084/WSD) Then, to test and prove it is "portable" and "auto-deploy-able", I cleaned and built a WSD.war file and dropped it onto my Xampp Tomcat (localhost:8080/WSD). The war extracted everything accordingly and I can see identical output from this Tomcat. So far, so good. However, after I tried to drop to war onto uni server, funny thing happens: uni server Even though I've changed the war permission to 755, it is simply not "responding". I then copied the extracted files to uni server, the MainServlet cannot be recognized from within its Context Path "/WSD", basically nothing works, expect the static index.jsp. I tried several times to stop and restart uni Tomcat, it doesn't help? I wonder what makes this happen? Is there anything I did wrong with my approach? To be frank I paid no attention to a server not under my control, and I am unfortunately not a real active day-to-day Java Programmer now. I understand the fundamentals of MVC, Servelets, JSPs, JavaBeans, but I really feel frustrated by this, as I cannot see why... Or, should I ask, a Java Web Application, after cleaned and built by NetBeans6.8, is self-contained and self-configured so ready to be deployed to any Java Web Container? I know, I can certainly program everything in plain old JSP, but this is soooo... unacceptable to myself... Update : I am now wondering if there is any free Tomcat Hosting so that I would like to see if my war file and/or my web app can go with them without any configuration at all?

  • Designing a class in such a way that it doesn't become a "God object"

    - by devoured elysium
    I'm designing an application that will allow me to draw some functions on a graphic. Each function will be drawn from a set of points that I will pass to this graphic class. There are different kinds of points, all inheriting from a MyPoint class. For some kind of points it will be just printing them on the screen as they are, others can be ignored, others added, so there is some kind of logic associated to them that can get complex. How to actually draw the graphic is not the main issue here. What bothers me is how to make the code logic such that this GraphicMaker class doesn't become the so called God-Object. It would be easy to make something like this: class GraphicMaker { ArrayList<Point> points = new ArrayList<Point>(); public void AddPoint(Point point) { points.add(point); } public void DoDrawing() { foreach (Point point in points) { if (point is PointA) { //some logic here else if (point is PointXYZ) { //...etc } } } } How would you do something like this? I have a feeling the correct way would be to put the drawing logic on each Point object (so each child class from Point would know how to draw itself) but two problems arise: There will be kinds of points that need to know all the other points that exist in the GraphicObject class to know how to draw themselves. I can make a lot of the methods/properties from the Graphic class public, so that all the points have a reference to the Graphic class and can make all their logic as they want, but isn't that a big price to pay for not wanting to have a God class?

  • Can I get debug symbols for flash player? Or any other way to get support for flash?

    - by Tim
    The company I am working for has a flash component (using flex and cs4) that crashes intermittently in chrome, FF and IE. (so far only win32 platforms) I submitted a bug report to Adobe but have not heard anything back from them. Their support process seems like a black hole. WE can get a dump from Flash using these steps but after submitting the bug we got no help at all. We loaded this into MS visual studio but can;t get decent stack information because there are no symbols for the flash stuff. Microsoft and other companies provide symbols to help with debugging and we would like to get that from adobe. Is there any way to make progress on this? Does anyone know where to get flash symbols or how else we can make progress? It is hard to debug the process if the container just dies. the binary is flash10c.ocx I just spent a painful hour on the phone with adobe folks - and the final answer from one of them (I spoke to about 8 people) was that they do not have a per incident purchase plan for developer support for flash. I find that hard to believe. Does anyone know how to get support for Flash?

  • PHP check http referer for form submitted by AJAX, secure?

    - by Michael Mao
    Hi all: This is the first time I am working for a front-end project that requires server-side authentication for AJAX requests. I've encountered problems like I cannot make a call of session_start as the beginning line of the "destination page", cuz that would get me a PHP Warning : Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at C:\xampp\htdocs\comic\app\ajaxInsert Book.php:1) in C:\xampp\htdocs\comic\app\common.php on line 10 I reckon this means I have to figure out a way other than checking PHP session variables to authenticate the "caller" of this PHP script, and this is my approach : I have a "protected" PHP page, which must be used as the "container" of my javascript that posts the form through jQuery $.ajax(); method In my "receiver" PHP script, what I've got is: <?php define(BOOKS_TABLE, "books"); define(APPROOT, "/comic/"); define(CORRECT_REFERER, "/protected/staff/addBook.php"); function isRefererCorrect() { // the following line evaluates the relative path for the referer uri, // Say, $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] returns "http://localhost/comic/protected/staff/addBook.php" // Then the part we concern is just this "/protected/staff/addBook.php" $referer = substr($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'], 6 + strrpos($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'], APPROOT)); return (strnatcmp(CORRECT_REFERER, $referer) == 0) ? true : false; } //http://stackoverflow.com/questions/267546/correct-http-header-for-json-file header('Content-type: application/json charset=UTF-8'); header('Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate'); echo json_encode(array ( "feedback"=>"ok", "info"=>isRefererCorrect() )); ?> My code works, but I wonder is there any security risks in this approach? Can someone manipulate the post request so that he can pretend that the caller javascript is from the "protected" page? Many thanks to any hints or suggestions.

  • How to append \line into RTF using RichTextBox control

    - by Steve Sheldon
    When using the Microsoft RichTextBox control it is possible to add new lines like this... richtextbox.AppendText(System.Environment.NewLine); // appends \r\n However, if you now view the generated rtf the \r\n characters are converted to \par not \line How do I insert a \line control code into the generated RTF? What does't work: Token Replacement Hacks like inserting a token at the end of the string and then replacing it after the fact, so something like this: string text = "my text"; text = text.Replace("||" "|"); // replace any '|' chars with a double '||' so they aren't confused in the output. text = text.Replace("\r\n", "_|0|_"); // replace \r\n with a placeholder of |0| richtextbox.AppendText(text); string rtf = richtextbox.Rtf; rtf.Replace("_|0|_", "\\line"); // replace placeholder with \line rtf.Replace("||", "|"); // set back any || chars to | This almost worked, it breaks down if you have to support right to left text as the right to left control sequence always ends up in the middle of the placeholder. Sending Key Messages public void AppendNewLine() { Keys[] keys = new Keys[] {Keys.Shift, Keys.Return}; SendKeys(keys); } private void SendKeys(Keys[] keys) { foreach(Keys key in keys) { SendKeyDown(key); } } private void SendKeyDown(Keys key) { user32.SendMessage(this.Handle, Messages.WM_KEYDOWN, (int)key, 0); } private void SendKeyUp(Keys key) { user32.SendMessage(this.Handle, Messages.WM_KEYUP, (int)key, 0); } This also ends up being converted to a \par Is there a way to post a messaged directly to the msftedit control to insert a control character? I am totally stumped, any ideas guys? Thanks for your help!

  • Exclude children based on content in XML with PHP (simplexml)

    - by Hakan
    Another question about PHP and XML... Is it posible to exclude children based on there childrens content. See the example below: If "title" contains the word "XTRA:" I don't want this "movie" to be listed. This is my PHP code: <? $xml = simplexml_load_file("movies.xml"); foreach ($xml->movie as $movie){ ?> <h2><? echo $movie->title ?></h2> <p>Year: <? echo $movie->year ?></p> <? } ?> This is mys XML file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <movies> <movie> <title>Little Fockers</title> <year>2010</year> </movie> <movie> <title>Little Fockers XTRA: teaser 3</title> <year>2010</year> </movie> </movies> The outcome of the code above is: <h2>Little Fockers</h2> <p>Year: 2010</p> <h2>Little Fockers XTRA: teaser 3</h2> <p>Year: 2010</p> I want it to be only: <h2>Little Fockers</h2> <p>Year: 2010</p>

  • incremental way of counting quantiles for large set of data

    - by Gacek
    I need to count the quantiles for a large set of data. Let's assume we can get the data only through some portions (i.e. one row of a large matrix). To count the Q3 quantile one need to get all the portions of the data and store it somewhere, then sort it and count the quantile: List<double> allData = new List<double>(); foreach(var row in matrix) // this is only example. In fact the portions of data are not rows of some matrix { allData.AddRange(row); } allData.Sort(); double p = 0.75*allData.Count; int idQ3 = (int)Math.Ceiling(p) - 1; double Q3 = allData[idQ3]; Now, I would like to find a way of counting this without storing the data in some separate variable. The best solution would be to count some parameters od mid-results for first row and then adjust it step by step for next rows. Note: These datasets are really big (ca 5000 elements in each row) The Q3 can be estimated, it doesn't have to be an exact value. I call the portions of data "rows", but they can have different leghts! Usually it varies not so much (+/- few hundred samples) but it varies! This question is similar to this one: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1058813/on-line-iterator-algorithms-for-estimating-statistical-median-mode-skewness But I need to count quantiles. ALso there are few articles in this topic, i.e.: http://web.cs.wpi.edu/~hofri/medsel.pdf http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=347195&dl But before I would try to implement these, I wanted to ask you if there are maybe any other, qucker ways of counting the 0.25/0.75 quantiles?

  • Easiest way to specify the selected option to a dropdown list in ASP.NET MVC

    - by sdr
    I have a list of options (IEnumerable< SelectListItem ) in my model that I want to use in multiple dropdowns in my view. But each of these dropdowns could have a different selected option. Is there an easy way to simply specfiy which should be selected if using the Html.DropDownList helper? At this point, the only way I can see is to generate the html myself and loop through the list of options like so: <% for(int i=0; i<10; i++) { %> <select name="myDropDown<%= i %>"> <% foreach(var option in Model.Options) { %> <option value="<%= Html.Encode(option.optValue) %>" <%if(ShouldBeSelected(i)) {%> selected="selected"<% } %>><%= Html.Encode(option.optText) %></option> <% } %> </select> <% } %>

  • How to test if a doctrine records has any relations that are used

    - by murze
    Hi, I'm using a doctrine table that has several optional relations (of types Doctrine_Relation_Association and Doctrine_Relation_ForeignKey) with other tables. How can I test if a record from that table has connections with records from the related table. Here is an example to make my question more clear. Assume that you have a User and a user has a many to many relation with Usergroups and a User can have one Userrole How can I test if a give user is part of any Usergroups or has a role. The solution starts I believe with $relations = Doctrine_Core::getTable('User')->getRelations(); $user = Doctrine_Core::getTable('User')->findOne(1); foreach($relations as $relation) { //here should go a test if the user has a related record for this relation if ($relation instanceof Doctrine_Relation_Association) { //here the related table probably has more then one foreign key (ex. user_id and group_id) } if ($relation instanceof Doctrine_Relation_ForeignKey) { //here the related table probably has the primary key of this table (id) as a foreign key (user_id) } } //true or false echo $result I'm looking for a general solution that will work no matter how many relations there are between user and other tables. Thanks!

  • Controls.remove() method not working in asp.net

    - by user279521
    I have a web app where the user can create dynamic textboxes at run time. When the user clicks SUBMIT, the form sends data to the database and I want remove the dynamic controls. The controls are created in the following code: Table tb = new Table(); tb.ID = "tbl"; for (i = 0; i < myCount; i += 1) { TableRow tr = new TableRow(); TextBox txtEmplName = new TextBox(); TextBox txtEmplEmail = new TextBox(); TextBox txtEmplPhone = new TextBox(); TextBox txtEmplPosition = new TextBox(); TextBox txtEmplOfficeID = new TextBox(); txtEmplName.ID = "txtEmplName" + i.ToString(); txtEmplEmail.ID = "txtEmplEmail" + i.ToString(); txtEmplPhone.ID = "txtEmplPhone" + i.ToString(); txtEmplPosition.ID = "txtEmplPosition" + i.ToString(); txtEmplOfficeID.ID = "txtEmplOfficeID" + i.ToString(); tr.Cells.Add(tc); tb.Rows.Add(tr); } Panel1.Controls.Add(tb); The Remove section of the code is: Table t = (Table)Page.FindControl("Panel1").FindControl("tbl"); foreach (TableRow tr in t.Rows) { for (i = 1; i < myCount; i += 1) { string txtEmplName = "txtEmplName" + i; tr.Controls.Remove(t.FindControl(txtEmplName)); string txtEmplEmail = "txtEmplEmail" + i; tr.Controls.Remove(t.FindControl(txtEmplEmail)); string txtEmplPhone = "txtEmplPhone" + i; tr.Controls.Remove(t.FindControl(txtEmplPhone)); string txtEmplPosition = "txtEmplPosition" + i; tr.Controls.Remove(t.FindControl(txtEmplPosition)); string txtEmplOfficeID = "txtEmplOfficeID" + i; tr.Controls.Remove(t.FindControl(txtEmplOfficeID)); } } However, the textboxes are still visible. Any ideas?

  • MyContainer derived from FrameworkElement with binding support.

  • Get Active Directory Attributes for Users on Legacy Exchange Servers

    - by Jason Hindson
    I would like to create a CSV file of the users on our Exchange 2003 servers, and include some attributes from their AD account. In particular, I would like to pull certain AD values for the users with RecipientTypeDetails = LegacyMailbox. I have tried a few different methods for targeting and filtering (ldapfilter, filter, objectAttribute, etc.) these users, with little success. The Exchange 2003 PowerPack for PowerGUI was helpful, but permissions issues and using the Exchange_Mailbox class are not challenges I want to overcome. I was finally able to create a working script, but it is very slow. The script I've created below is currently working, although it is on track to take about 4+ hours to complete. I'm am looking for suggestions for improving the efficiency of my script or otherwise obtaining this data in a quicker manner. • How do I bind arrays to columns in a WPF datagrid

    I have a Log object that contains a list of Curve objects. Each curve has a Name property and an array of doubles. I want the Name to be in the column header and the data below it. I am sure I am missing something simple, but after hours of searching the web, I have to come begging for an answer.

  • Is dependency injection only for service type objects and singletons? (and NOT for gui?)

    - by sensui
    I'm currently experimenting with the Google's guice inversion of control container. I previously had singletons for just about any service (database, active directory) my application used. Now I refactored the code: all the dependencies are given as parameters to constructors. So far, so good. Now the hardest part is with the graphical user interface. I face this problem: I have a table (JTable) of products wrapped in an ProductFrame. I give the dependencies as parameters (EditProductDialog). @Inject public ProductFrame(EditProductDialog editProductDialog) { // ... } // ... @Inject public EditProductDialog(DBProductController productController, Product product) { // ... } The problem is that guice can't know what Product I have selected in the table, so it can't know what to inject in the EditProductDialog. Dependency Injection is pretty viral (if I modify one class to use dependency injection I also need to modify all the other classes it interacts with) so my question is should I directly instantiate EditProductDialog? But then I would have to pass manually the DBProductController to the EditProductDialog and I will also need to pass it to the ProductFrame and all this boils down to not using dependency injection at all. Or is my design flawed and because of that I can't really adapt the project to dependecy injection? Give me some examples of how you used dependency injection with the graphical user interface. All the examples found on the Internet are really simple examples where you use some services (mostly databases) with dependency injection.

  • How do I flatten an associative array into an array with only values in PHP?

    - by aalaap
    I have an array that has keys and values. For eg: Array ( [name] => aalaap [age] => 29 [location] => mumbai ) I want to convert the keys from this into values, but I want the values to apear right after the keys. For eg: Array ( [0] => name [1] => aalaap [2] => age [3] => 29 [4] => location [5] => mumbai ) I can easily write an iteration function that will do this... for eg: array_flatten($arr) { foreach ($arr as $arrkey => $arrval) { $arr_new[] = $arrkey; $arr_new[] = $arrval; } return $arr_new; } ...but I'm trying to find out if there's any way this can be accomplished using array_combine, array_keys, array_values and/or array_merge, preferably in one, so i don't need to use a custom function. • How might I wrap the FindXFile-style APIs to the STL-style Iterator Pattern in C++?

    - by BillyONeal
    Hello everyone :) I'm working on wrapping up the ugly innards of the FindFirstFile/FindNextFile loop (though my question applies to other similar APIs, such as RegEnumKeyEx or RegEnumValue, etc.) inside iterators that work in a manner similar to the Standard Template Library's istream_iterators. I have two problems here. The first is with the termination condition of most "foreach" style loops. STL style iterators typically use operator!= inside the exit condition of the for, i.e. std::vector<int> test; for(std::vector<int>::iterator it = test.begin(); it != test.end(); it++) { //Do stuff } My problem is I'm unsure how to implement operator!= with such a directory enumeration, because I do not know when the enumeration is complete until I've actually finished with it. I have sort of a hack together solution in place now that enumerates the entire directory at once, where each iterator simply tracks a reference counted vector, but this seems like a kludge which can be done a better way. The second problem I have is that there are multiple pieces of data returned by the FindXFile APIs. For that reason, there's no obvious way to overload operator* as required for iterator semantics. When I overload that item, do I return the file name? The size? The modified date? How might I convey the multiple pieces of data to which such an iterator must refer to later in an ideomatic way? I've tried ripping off the C# style MoveNext design but I'm concerned about not following the standard idioms here. class SomeIterator { public: bool next(); //Advances the iterator and returns true if successful, false if the iterator is at the end. std::wstring fileName() const; //other kinds of data.... }; EDIT: And the caller would look like: SomeIterator x = ??; //Construct somehow while(x.next()) { //Do stuff } Thanks! • PHP URL parameters append return special character

    - by Alexandre Lavoie
    I'm programming a function to build an URL, here it is : public static function requestContent($p_lParameters) { $sParameters = "?key=TEST&format=json&jsoncallback=none"; foreach($p_lParameters as $sParameterName => $sParameterValue) { $sParameters .= "&$sParameterName=$sParameterValue"; } echo "<span style='font-size: 16px;'>URL : http://api.oodle.com/api/v2/listings" . $sParameters . "</span><br />"; $aXMLData = file_get_contents("http://api.oodle.com/api/v2/listings" . $sParameters); return json_decode($aXMLData,true); } And I am calling this function with this array list : print_r() result : Array ( [region] => canada [category] => housing/sale/home ) But this is very strange I get an unexpected character (note the special character none*®*ion) : http://api.oodle.com/api/v2/listings?key=TEST&format=json&jsoncallback=none®ion=canada&category=housing/sale/home For information I use this header : <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8" /> <?php header('Content-Type: text/html;charset=UTF-8'); ?> EDIT : $sRequest = "http://api.oodle.com/api/v2/listings?key=TEST&format=json&jsoncallback=none&region=canada&category=housing/sale/home"; echo "<span style='font-size: 16px;'>URL : " . $sRequest . "</span><br />"; return the exact URL with problem : http://api.oodle.com/api/v2/listings?key=TEST&format=json&jsoncallback=none®ion=canada&category=housing/sale/home Thank you for your help!

  • Why does GetWindowThreadProcessId return 0 when called from a service

    - by Marve
    When using the following class in a console application, and having at least one instance of Notepad running, GetWindowThreadProcessId correctly returns a non-zero thread id. However, if the same code is included in a Windows Service, GetWindowThreadProcessId always returns 0 and no exceptions are thrown. Changing the user the service launches under to be the same as the one running the console application didn't alter the result. What causes GetWindowThreadProcessId to return 0 even if it is provided with a valid hwnd? And why does it function differently in the console application and the service? Note: I am running Windows 7 32-bit and targeting .NET 3.5. public class TestClass { [DllImport("user32.dll")] static extern uint GetWindowThreadProcessId(IntPtr hWnd, IntPtr ProcessId); public void AttachToNotepad() { var processesToAttachTo = Process.GetProcessesByName("Notepad") foreach (var process in processesToAttachTo) { var threadID = GetWindowThreadProcessId(process.MainWindowHandle, IntPtr.Zero); .... } } } Console Code: class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { var testClass = new TestClass(); testClass.AttachToNotepad(); } } Service Code: public class TestService : ServiceBase { private TestClass testClass = new TestClass(); static void Main() { ServiceBase.Run(new TestService()); } protected override void OnStart(string[] args) { testClass.AttachToNotepad(); base.OnStart(args); } protected override void OnStop() { ... } }

    Hi i am trying to learn Java, Hibernate and the MVC pattern. Following various tutorial online i managed to map my database, i have created few Main methods to test it and it works. Furthermore i have created few pages using the MVC patter and i am able to display some mock data as well in a view. the problem is i can not connect the two. this is what i have My view Looks like this <%@ include file="/WEB-INF/jsp/include.jsp" %> <html> <head> <title>Users</title> <%@ include file="/WEB-INF/jsp/head.jsp" %> </head> <body> <%@ include file="/WEB-INF/jsp/header.jsp" %> <img src="images/rss.png" alt="Rss Feed"/> <%@ include file="/WEB-INF/jsp/menu.jsp" %> <div class="ContainerIntroText"> <img src="images/usersList.png" class="marginL150px" alt="Add New User"/> <br/> <br/> <div class="usersList"> <div class="listHeaders"> <div class="headerBox"> <strong>FirstName</strong> </div> <div class="headerBox"> <strong>LastName</strong> </div> <div class="headerBox"> <strong>Username</strong> </div> <div class="headerAction"> <strong>Edit</strong> </div> <div class="headerAction"> <strong>Delete</strong> </div> </div> <br><br> <c:forEach items="${users}" var="user"> <div class="listElement"> <c:out value="${user.firstName}"/> </div> <div class="listElement"> <c:out value="${user.lastName}"/> </div> <div class="listElement"> <c:out value="${user.username}"/> </div> <div class="listElementAction"> <input type="button" name="Edit" title="Edit" value="Edit"/> </div> <div class="listElementAction"> <input type="image" src="images/delete.png" name="image" alt="Delete" > </div> <br /> </c:forEach> </div> </div> <a id="addUser" href="addUser.htm" title="Click to add a new user">&nbsp;</a> </body> </html> My controller public class UsersController implements Controller { private UserServiceImplementation userServiceImplementation;
