    Hello, i configured log4j for basic purpose usin the conversion pattern :- log4j.appender.rollingFile.layout.ConversionPattern=%p %t %c - %m%n But now i want to log the class name from which the error came as well as the username(available in session object) as well as the date and time when that event occurs. How do i do this? What changes do i need to make in format string? Thanks in advance :)

  • Doing a count over a filter query efficiently in django

    Hello, Django newbie here, I need to do a count over a certain filter in a django model. If I do it like so: my_model.objects.filter(...).count() I'm guessing it does the SQL query that retrieves all the rows and only afterwards does the count. To my knowledge it's much more efficient to do the count without retrieving those rows like so "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM ...". Is there a way to do so in django?

    Hello, I have been using the following CSS to apply an effect at the bottom of elements in a menu: .leftMenuProductWrapper div:last-child{margin-bottom:20px;} This works fine initially, however after adding more elements in the menu, I realized it was a problem. I really only want to select the last div with .leftMenuProductButton within .leftMenuProductWrapper Anyway to do this without using Jquery, just pure CSS?

    Hello How can I use the update() method on a single model which I retrieved via Queryset.get() ? It seems like model. Model doesn't have an update() method yet I cannot invoke .save() as I have a pre-save signals which messes things up. I have a bunch of Views, in which i have characters like this: é, á, ó, etc. In one of my views I can fetch data from the database with accents just fine, but in another one I simply get the "weird" characters :P WHat can i be doing wrong?     Hello all, complete newbie here, I need to find a way to store 250 KB of plain text numbers inside my program's executable file. Usually, I would put the data in a separate file and let the program read it while it is running, but that's not an option here. Instead, the program and the data need to be in one executable file. I have absolutely no idea how to do it (except writing 250.000 #defines :-) and I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you very much!

    Hello. I have a control with two buttons (zoom in, zoom out). Both buttons have onClick event that handle the zoom. When any of the button is pressed, the button gets focus and bolds its border and text. Is there a way to disable/remove focus? Actually the solution im looking for would be that on mouseDown the button would receive focus and would lose it on mouseUp. thanx !

  • C#: Perform Operations on GPU, not CPU (Calculate Pi)

    Hello, I've recently read a lot about software (mostly scientific/math and encryption related) that moves part of their calculation onto the GPU which causes a 100-1000 (!) fold increase in speed for supported operations. Is there a library, API or other way to run something on the GPU via C#? I'm thinking of simple Pi calculation. I have a GeForce 8800 GTX if that's relevant at all (would prefer card independent solution though). Any hints are appreciated!

    Hello, I have a relatively large Conceptual Data Model in PowerDesigner. After generating a Physical Data Model and seeing the DBMS data types, I need to update all of data types(NUMBER/TEXT) for each data item. I'd like to either do a find/replace within the Conceptual Data Model or somehow map to different data types when creating the Physical Data Model. Ex. Change the auto conversion of Text - Clob, to Text - NVARCHAR(20). Thanks!
