  • Ajax enabled sorting and paging on grid in ASP.NET 3.5

    - by Ismail S
Is there any good solution for ajax enabled Grid with pageing and sorting which only brings the required data from database? I mean it should only bring the data from the database which is to be displayed on the particular page number of the grid. I looked at this. It looks good. But I just thought if anyone has created something better using Google's or Yahoo's javascript library or using any good features of asp.net 3.5.

  • Posting topic on Facebook Groups

    - by gauz
I would like to know whether it is possible to post topics on Facebook Groups by using either the old Rest API or Graph API? I somehow was unable to find any function within the API which would help me to do so. Any work around or alternate solution to the above problem is welcome. Thanks.

  • Event when the user changes font size in browser?

    - by Christian
I need to get informed when the user changes the font size in it's browser. I need it to reposition some elements which have to be relative in one dimension to an anchor inside a text. So far i haven't found anything and i'm a bit worried that it's not possible. In this case it should be possible to emulate it with a hidden div and some text inside and a script polling for changes of it's width. But i hope someone has a more elegant solution.

  • Fork two processes and kill the second when the first is done

    - by User1
The title says it all. I want to create a bash script that will launch two processes and kill the second process when the first is done. Here's an example: #fork first process producer& #fork second process consumer& #wait for producer to finish ... #kill the consumer ... I have a feeling this can get ugly but has a very simple solution. Please help me fill in the blanks.

I can't find such a solution that is capable of doing this. • Simple servlet or filter to process form

    - by David
Is there a simple framework for processing form submissions via a servlet? For my needs, a framework like STRUTS seems like over kill. My ideal processor would be a servlet that converts form elements into a bean object, possibly using typing information in the form to help with the conversion. Does something like this exist or is there another solution out there geared toward simpler needs? Thanks!

Everything works well, except that I want to rotate the arrow image in my ImageView. The current code, which shows the arrow pointing upwards, is this: ImageViewArrow.setImageResource(R.drawable.arrow); What is the best solution for showing the arrow, rotated by N degrees?

  • How do I provide basic configuration for a Scala application?

    - by Dave
I am working on a small GUI application written in Scala. There are a few settings that the user will set in the GUI and I want them to persist between program executions. Basically I want a scala.collections.mutable.Map that automatically persists to a file when modified. This seems like it must be a common problem, but I have been unable to find a lightweight solution. How is this problem typically solved?

  • What is the opposite of JAXB? i.e. generating XML FROM classes?

    - by 8EM
I am currently designing a solution to a problem I have. I need to dynamically generate an XML file on the fly using Java objects, in the same way JAXB generates Java classes from XML files, however the opposite direction. Is there something out there already like this? Alternatively, a way in which one could 'save' a state of java classes. The goal I am working towards is a dynamically changing GUI, where a user can redesign their GUI in the same way you can with iGoogle.
