    Hello all, I have two noobish questions about Flash, Actionscript, Flex etc. 1) With these technologies is it possible to create a simple web browser that can render websites? 2) Is it possible to run these technologies on the server side?     suppose we have simple polygon(without holes) with vertices (v0,v1,....vn) my aim is to determine if for given point p(x,y) any line segment connecting this point and any vertices of polygon is inside polygon or even for given two point p(x0,y0) `p(x1,y1)` line segment connecting these two point is inside polygon? i have searched many sites about this ,but i am still confused,generally i think we have to compare coordinates of vertices and by determing coordinates of which point is less or greater to another point's coordinates,we could determine location of any line segment,but i am not sure how correct is this,please help me

    I need a simple floating point rounding function, thus: double round(double); round(0.1) = 0 round(-0.1) = 0 round(-0.9) = -1 I can find ceil() and floor() in the math.h - but not round(). Is it present in the standard C++ library under another name, or is it missing??

    I made a small page (http://www.ovlu.li) using CMS Made Simple (http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/). It looks more or less okay in all browser, but the problem is, if a resize the window to a smaller size, sometimes the layout of the subnavigation layer is destroyed. Instead of getting smaller, all the elements are ordered more or less randomly. Any hints why?

    I am having an issue with referencing the sheet name through =Branded!$A$1 Notation in VBA. For a while I have passed in simple sheet names like: Dim SheetName As String SheetName = "Pizza" ("=" & SheetName & "!$A$1") This has worked fine, but recently I passed in "Tier 1" and of course this notation broke. Is there any fix or workaround for this? It Think it's because of the space, the number or both....

  • C# MySQL Connector works in IDE, not after publish?

    For some reason I can't seem to get the MySQL Net Connector to work with C# outside of the IDE. I have a very simple program working just fine in the IDE (connecting to the database and everything) but when I publish the code and run the .application file (on my local computers desktop or off the company server) it says it can't connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :( Thank you

I just need to compress and decompress a block of data without much options.     I have a simple blogging functionality in my Rails 3 app. I am trying to add commenting to each post. The BlogComment model has a property, blog_post_id, to be able to find the corresponding comments for each post. I already setup my associations in the model, I also nested BlogComments under BlogPost in the routes file. However, I can't figure out how to give each BlogPost access to its respective comments through the controller so that they can be shown later in the view.
