  • Ubuntu - Psychonauts - Camera involentarily listing to the right

    I've recently purchased the Humble Bundle V and have been having an absolute riot with the games given. The one problem I'm running into though, is that whenever I launch Psychonauts and run a game, the Camera lists to the right slowly and I can't get it to stop. Strangely enough when I zoom in (with z), it lists to the left. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if there was a solution. Maybe it's even the mouse configs I currently have on the laptop that interacts strangely with 3D environments.

    I have organized a menu. Its HTML is as follows: <ul class="topmenu"> <li><a href="sample.html">Text 1</a></li> <li><a href="sample.html">Text 2</a></li> <li><a href="sample.html">Text 3</a></li> <li><a href="sample.html">Text 4</a></li> <ul> This is a horizontal menu, so I have floated the list items to left to appear them in a horizontal line. I could have used display:inline to appear them in a single line, but since IE does not support it and I don't know any other way to do so, I used float:left;. It's css is: .topmenu { list-style:none; margin:0; padding:0; } .topmenu li { float:left; } This brings the menu in a perfect horizontal line, but the entire list is floated to the left. I want to bring the .topmenu to appear in the center of the document and keep the listitem inside it floated towards the left. I found that this is achievable by defining width property of the .topmenu, but I dont want to fix its width as the list-items are dynamically generated and thus could increase and decrease. Any one know of any solution?

    Hello! I'm new to jquery and javascript, and to web site developing overall, and I'm having a problem with the .offset function. The $("span").text are just so I know what's happening and will be turned into comments when the code is complete. So here is what happens, on Chrome and Firefox the output of the $("span").text for the position variables is correct, starting at 0,0 and always showing how much of the content was scrolled in coordinates, but on IE it starts on -2,-2 and never gets out of it, even if I manually scroll the window until the end of it and try using the right arrow key it will still return the initial value of -2,-2 and scroll back to the beggining. I tried substituting the offset for document.body.scrollLetf and scrollTop but the result is the same, only this time the coordinates are 0,0. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this some IE bug? Is there a way around it or some other function I can use and achieve the same results?   • Loading a CSV file using jQuery GET returns the header but no data

    When reading a CSV file from a server using the jQuery 'GET' function I do not get any data. When I look at the code using FireBug I can see the GET request is sent and the return value is '200 OK'. Also I see that the header is returned correctly so the request is definitely made, and data is returned. This is also what I see in Wireshark. Here I see the complete contents of the CSV file is returned as a standard HTTP response. But the actual data is not there in my script. Firebug shows an empty response and the 'success' function is never called.     Ok, so I had this working just fine before making a few controller additions and the relocation of some code. I feel like I am missing something really simple here but have spent hours trying to figure out what is going on. Here is the situation. class Question < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :sites end and class Sites < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :questions end I am trying to display my Sites in order of the sum of the 'like' column in the Sites Table. From my previous StackOverflow question I had this working when the partial was being called in the /views/sites/index.html.erb file. I then moved the partial to being called in the /views/questions/show.html.erb file and it successfully displays the Sites but fails to order them as it did when being called from the Sites view.   • How can I embed the result of a rails view in another website?

    I would like to allow users to call my ruby on rails app as a service which returns a 'div' with html content in it, and embed that div into their app (which will not be a rails application). For example, assume someone has their own php website that has a header/footer template that gets rendered, and a content area of the page that they need to fill based on some html I generate in my rails app. I would like to allow them, from php, to call to my website, get the 'div' I generate, and embed that as html in their php page. What I'm trying to do is host a service on my site that returns some html content, but actually show that content as part of another site, so that the end user only sees the other site and never really knows about mine. Is this possible?

    Hi, I have a website let's say www.example.com and I have a subdomain something.example.com Both main domain and sub domain are pointing to directory "public_html" I have .htaccess on root which redirects any URL without www to www. For e.g. if user enters example.com then he will be redirected to www.example.com If user enters example.com/mypage.html then he will be redirected to www.example.com/mypage.html Now the problem is this is also affecting my subdomain. Because if someone enters something.example.com/visit.html then he is redirect to www.example.com/visit.html I don't want this! If user enters subdomain then I don't want to redirected to www domain.
