Query crashes MS Access

THE TASK: I am in the process of migrating a DB from MS Access to Maximizer. In order to do this I must take 64 tables in MS ACCESS and merge them into one. The output must be in the form of a TAB or CSV file. Which will then be imported into Maximizer. THE PROBLEM: Access is unable to perform a query that is so complex it seems, as it crashes any time I run the query. ALTERNATIVES: I have thought about a few alternatives, and would like to do the least time-consuming one, out of these, while also taking advantage of any opportunities to learn something new. Export each table into CSVs and import into SQLight and then make a query with it to do the same as what ACCESS fails to do (merge 64 tables). Export each table into CSVs and write a script to access each one and merge the CSVs into a single CSV. Somehow connect to the MS ACCESS DB (API), and write a script to pull data from each table and merge them into a CSV file. QUESTION: What do you recommend?

I have been working on a Grails project, clubbed with ElasticSearch ( v 20.6 ), with a custom build of elasticsearch-grails-plugin(to support geo_point indexing : v.20.6) have been trying to do a filtered Search, while using script_fields (to calculate distance). Not Understanding Basics Of Dynamic DataBinding (bindPropety) In Flex

I need to dynamically bind properties of components created at runtime. In this particular case please assume I need to use bindProperty. I don't quite understand why the following simplistic test is failing (see code). When I click the button, the label text does not change. I realize that there are simpler ways to go about this particular example using traditional non-dynamic binding, but I need to understand it in terms of using bindProperty. I currently have a scrolling anchor animation that also adds an "active" class to the anchor clicked. I am trying to fit the below function into the works as well, so say someone clicks "anchor 1", "anchor 1" will get an active class and the window will scroll to that location. But, after that has happened say the user manually begins scrolling down the page, I want the active class to be removed. The problem I am running up against now is that the below function will happen when the scrolling animation from a clicked anchor is taking place. Can JQuery.Validate plugin prevent submission of an Ajax form

I am using the JQuery form plugin (http://malsup.com/jquery/form/) to handle the ajax submission of a form. I also have JQuery.Validate (http://docs.jquery.com/Plugins/Validation) plugged in for my client side validation. What I am seeing is that the validation fails when I expect it to however it does not stop the form from submitting. When I was using a traditional form (i.e. non-ajax) the validation failing prevented the form for submitting at all.... which is my desired behaviour. I know that the validation is hooked up correctly as the validation messages still appear after the ajax submit has happened. So what I am I missing that is preventing my desired behaviour? Regularly update database without browser/user

I currently have a MySQL database which I was hoping to use to store regularly updated data from a temperature sensor connected to the internet. I currently have a page that, when opened, will grab the current temperature and the current timestamp and add it as an entry to the database, but I was looking for a way to do that without me refreshing the page every 5 seconds. Detail: The data comes from an Arduino Ethernet, posted to an IP address. Currently, I'm using cURL to grab the data from the IP, add a timestamp and save it to the DB. Obviously only updates when the page is refreshed (it uses PHP). Here is a live feed of the data - http://wetdreams.org.uk/ChrisProject/UI/live_graph_two.html TL;DR - Basically I need a middle man to grab the data from the IP and post it to a MySQL Edit: Thanks for all the advice. There might be a little bit of confusion, I'm looking for a solution that (ideally) doesn't require a computer to be on at all (other than the Server containing Database). Since I'm looking to store data over long periods of time (weeks), I'd like to set it up and leave a script running on the server (or Arduino) that gets the temp and posts it to the Database. In my head I would like to have a page on the server that automatically (without any browser open, or any other prompting other than a timer) calls a PHP script. Hope that clears things up!

Wordpress issue with footer

I've been trying to turn my simple html/css site into a wordpress site. my big issue which no one seem to be able to solve appears in my footer. The footer is pretty much ignoring everything and just staying in the top of the site ( like it was a part of my header). All my files is split into 3 files. A header.php a footer.php and the page.php (one for each site). How to "End Task" not "Kill" or "Terminate"?

Hi community. I have a 3G card to provide internet to a remote computer... Hovering a div shows hidden div - jquery to prototype conversion

I may get killed for this but I have been trying for a few days using Prototype to show a hidden div when hovering over another div. I have this working fine in jquery but I could use some help porting it over to prototype. SQL query error while trying to put a file in the database

Hey Guys I have a big problem that I have no Idea why.. I have few forms that upload files to the database, all of them work fine except one.. I use the same query in all(simple insert). I think that it has something to do with the files i am trying to upload but I am not sure. jQuery recursive function to upload many files while giving the user some feedback

Hi guys, I'm trying to write a jQuery function to let users upload many files at once. The whole process works. I've tried it with 100 files. The only thing that doesn't work is the #info div updating. The div get updated the first time and then again only to show "All files have been uploaded". So there's no feedback for the user about the uploading process. I can't understand why... Any help?

Randomly Position A Div

I'm looking for a way to randomly position a div anywhere on a page (ONCE per load). I'm currently programming a PHP-based fantasy pet simulation game. One of the uncommon items on the game is a "Four Leaf Clover." Currently, users gain "Four Leaf Clovers" through random distribution - but I would like to change that (it's not interactive enough!). What I Am Trying To Do: The idea is to make users search for these "Four Leaf Clovers" by randomly placing this image anywhere on the page: (my rendition of a four leaf clover) I'd like to do this using a Java/Ajax script that generates a div, and then places it anywhere on the page. And does not move it once it's been placed, until the page is reloaded. I've tried so many Google searches, and the closest thing that I've found so far is this (click), from this question. But, removing the .fadein, .delay, and .fadeout stopped the script from working entirely. I'm not by any means a pro with Ajax. Is what I'm trying to do even possible?

Error: 'Sys' is undefined

Hi, When I moved my website over to another server I've noticed now that ajax doesn't appear to be working. When I remote desktop to the server and go to the url on the server i.e. http://myserver/mywebsite ... everything works ok. When I open up the website in visual studio on the server it works as no problem as well. It's only when I connect remotely that the 'javascript' error occurs. I'm using MooTools 1.4.5 and I want to change cursor before calling function that takes some time and after finished same function set cursor to default. I was not successful. After that I made simple example to change background color via plain JavaScript (no jQuery or MooTools plugin) and again I was not successful. I assumed that the background color will bi set to red and after delay to yellow. It doesn't work. When page is loaded background color is yellow (last line). If I insert alert function in a middle of lines where sets background color everything works fine (background color is red, click to message box, background color is yellow). Why it works so? Only last changing style is affected. I need something like that to change pointer before calling function that takes 10 seconds and setting cursor to default value after function is done.

Twitter Bootstrap on page tabs: not hiding tab content

I'm trying to get the twitter on page tabbed content to work. I have the tabs working with switching around active class on the tabs. I've included jquery and the bootstrap-tabs.js but the following code can't seem to get the tabbed content to hide / display as they should. Passing data to a jQuery click() function

Hi I have a simple span like so <span class="action removeAction">Remove</span> This span is within a table, each row has a remove span. And then I call a URL using AJAX when that span is clicked. The AJAX event needs to know the ID of the object for that row? What is the best way of getting that ID into the click function? I thought I could do something like this <span class="action removeAction" id="1">Remove</span> But an ID should not start with a number? Right? Then I thought I could do <span class="action removeAction" id="my1">Remove</span> Then just strip the 'my' part from the ID, but that just seems Yuk! How to pass javascript/jQuery settings from page to page in rails?

When doing javascript manipulation of what's visible, how does one pass that from page to page (ideally in Rails)? For example, let's say I have the following simple jQuery code: <% link_to "Next Page", report_path %> <div class="clickable-div" style="background-color:#FFFFFF;"></div> <script> $('.clickable-div').click(function () { var color = $(this).css("background-color", "#000000"); }); </script> If it's not clear, the code is just supposed to change the color of the div based on whether or not it has been clicked. Regardless, there's also a link on the page that allows someone to go to the reporting page. What's a way to pass the state of the div to the action call? EDIT It seems unnecessary to do it in a session - am I wrong? This is just something from one page to the next, I couldn't care less anywhere else on the site. EDIT 2 To confirm, Rails needs to have access to the action that occurred in Javascript on the previous page.
