• Magento product name

  I wish to change product name when someone adding this product to cart. All product are simple. Magento v. 1.7.0.0 If I try to change it's name in Mage_Checkout_Model_Cart - addProduct method in that way for example: if ($request->getMyParam()) { $product->setName($product->getName() . ' (' . $request->getMyParam() . ')'); } than I have message that I added product with MyParam but in cart really I have simple product name from catalog The same thing happent when I trying to do same thing in Mage_Sales_Model_Quote - addProductAdvanced method So where I must change this name to save this name in cart and then in order details too. Or maybe I can create some additional custom options on he fly when I adding to cart or saving product. Thnx for all who can help with this

• Do I need something more to run NUnit under any directory?

  I have NUnit installed at this directory. C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.5.5\bin\net-2.0 When I try to run my unit test (mut.dll) in some random directory. I get the following error. I have to copy the mut.dll under the NUnit directory in order to run it. ProcessModel: Default DomainUsage: Single Execution Runtime: net-2.0 Could not load file or assembly 'nunit.framework, Version=2.5.5.10112, Culture=n eutral, PublicKeyToken=96d09a1eb7f44a77' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. What's wrong? Is there anything that I have to configure to run NUNit under any directory?

EDIT: Some DBs use only a subset of these types. For example, if I have a database with no views, when I query Sys.Objects as above, there are no "V" rows in the results. I am looking for a list of all possible types and descriptions used by SQL Server.

• Get the size of a Silverlight window

  Hey! I'm creating a Silverlight 4 Out Of Browser application. I have my MainPage that will be the "central" application. I want to be able to display another Control next to the MainPage, by using a Popup and I want it to be displayed right next to the MainPage. How can I get the coordinates of the upper right corner of the MainPage at each moment? (Beware that this MainPage can be moved all over the screen and hence I will need to dynamically get the corner coordinates, in order to display my popup right next to the main window). And there is a retrieval routine in C# IEnumerable<V1> GetData(MyFilter filter, MySortOrder order) {} I want to reuse with V2. Is it possible without performing joins in L2S rather than in database? Should i manually create a base class in the database context or something?

• Using AND/OR mysql commands with FROM_UNIXTIME

  Trying to select a query in php/mysql to get "Upcoming Items" in a calendar. We store the dates in the DB as a unix time. Here's what my query looks like right now SELECT * FROM `calendar` WHERE (`eventDate` > '$yesterday') OR (FROM_UNIXTIME(eventDate, '%m') > '$current_month' AND `$yearly` = '1') ORDER BY `eventDate` LIMIT 4 This is giving me an error "Unknown column '' in 'where clause'". I'm sure it has to do with my use of parenthesis (which I've never used before in a query) and the FROM_UNIXTIME command. Can someone help me out and let me know how I've screwed this up? Thanks!

  How do i LIMIT the child rows fetched to only 5? Here is the SQLfiddle http://sqlfiddle.com/#!2/bd96a/2. Right now it fetches all rows with parentid='4' and parentid='14'. It should only fetch 5 of each parentid. Assuming i have hundreds of rows, it should only fetch a max of 5 for each parentid.   I am currently developing a script in PHP to fetch webpages. The fact is that by doing so, I occasionally do too much requests to a particular website. In order to control any overflow, I would like to keep trace of how many requests have been done in the last hour or so for each domain. It doesn't need to be perfect, just a good estimate. I doesn't have access to a database, except sqlite2. I would really like something really simple because there will typically be a lot of updates, which is kind of heavy for a sqlite database. If no one has a magical solution, I'll go for sqlite, but I was curious what you can come up with Thank you very much

  I'm starting on a Scala application which uses Hibernate (JPA) on the back end. In order to load an object, I use this line of code: val addr = s.load(classOf[Address], addr_id).asInstanceOf[Address]; Needless to say, that's a little painful. • Importing CSV with line breaks in Excel 2007

  I'm working on a feature to export search results to a CSV file to be opened in Excel. One of the fields is a free-text field, which may contain line breaks, commas, quotations, etc. In order to counteract this, I have wrapped the field in double quotes ("). However, when I import the data into Excel 2007, set the appropriate delimiter, and set the text qualifier to double quote, the line breaks are still creating new records at the line breaks, where I would expect to see the entire text field in a single cell. I've also tried replacing CR/LF (\r\n) with just CR (\r), and again with just LF (\n), but no luck. Has anyone else encountered this behavior, and if so, how did you fix it? TIA, -J

  The sensor module in my project consists of a rotating camera, that collects noisy information about moving objects in the surrounding environment. The information consists of distance, angle and relative change of the moving objects.. The limiting view range of the camera makes it essential to rotate the camera periodically to update environment information... I was looking for algorithms / ways to model these information, in order to be able to guess / predict / learn motion properties of these object.. My current proposed idea is to store last n snapshots of each object in a queue. I take weighted average of positions and velocities of moving object, but I think it is a poor method... Can you state some titles that suit this case? Thanks

• C++ : Swapping template class elements of different types?

  template< class T1, class T2 > class Pair { T1 first; T2 second; }; I'm being asked to write a swap() method so that the first element becomes the second and the second the first. I have: Pair<T2,T1> swap() { return Pair<T2,T1>(second, first); } But this returns a new object rather than swapping, where I think it needs to be a void method that changes its own data members. Is this possible to do since T1 and T2 are potentially different class types? In other words I can't simply set temp=first, first=second, second=temp because it would try to convert them to different types. I'm not sure why you would potentially want to have a template object that changes order of its types as it seems that would cause confusion but that appears to be what I'm being asked to do.

I have a simple Categories table with Id as the primary key: CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Category]( [Id] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL, [CategoryName] [varchar](100) NOT NULL, ) My Query is: SELECT * FROM FREETEXTTABLE (Category, CategoryName, 'music') AS F INNER JOIN Category C ON F.[Key] = C.Id ORDER BY F.Rank DESC This returns me several records with the word music in them, but it does NOT return any record with word ‘musical’. Although, it can be said that the string being searched is not very big and using the LIKE operator will resolve it. I would like to use fulltext search because this simple example is going to be extended to include other tables and fileds.

• Get count matches in query on large table very slow

  I have a mysql table "items" with 2 integer fields: seid and tiid The table has about 35000000 records, so it's very large. seid tiid ----------- 1 1 2 2 2 3 2 4 3 4 4 1 4 2 The table has a primary key on both fields, an index on seid and an index on tiid. Someone types in 1 or more tiid values and now I would like to get the seid with most results. For example when someone types 1,2,3, I would like to get seid 2 and 4 as result. They both have 2 matches on the tiid values. My query so far: SELECT COUNT(*) as c, seid FROM items WHERE tiid IN (1,2,3) GROUP BY seid HAVING c = (SELECT COUNT(*) as c, seid FROM items WHERE tiid IN (1,2,3) GROUP BY seid ORDER BY c DESC LIMIT 1) But this query is extremly slow, because of the large table. Does anyone know how to construct a better query for this purpose?

• How to display mysql records as preselected checkboxes?

  I have a table column called post_tags within a table called posts where assigned tags are stored separated by the @ symbol. I also have a table called tags where all tag names are stored. I would like to design my database in a more normalized way but for the purpose I am trying to achieve this is the easiest option. Anyway, I want to display on the screen all the entries from the tags table as checkboxes, so I do: $query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM tags ORDER BY name"); while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($query)) { $tag = $row['name']; echo "<input type='checkbox' name='tags[]' value='$tag' />\n"; } Next I want to have the tags that are assigned to a particular post be preselected. For example, if I have a post with the following in it's post_tags column: party@beaches@dolphins@ I want the "party", "beaches" and "dolphin" checkboxes to be checked by default (while the checkboxes for the other options are unchecked). How can this be done?

  While the NSCurrentLocaleDidChangeNotification perfectly makes sense on Mac OS X, I don't see how you can possibly receive it on iPhone OS. In order to change the locale, you have to quit the running application, then change it in Settings ? General ? International ? Region Format. At that point, your app is not running, so how could it receive the notification? I first thought this notification was leftover from the Mac OS X documentation, but then I found this in Apple Push Notification Service Programming Guide: The application might send its provider the preferred language every time the user changes something in the current locale. To do this, you can listen for the notification named NSCurrentLocaleDidChangeNotification and, in your notification-handling method, get the code identifying the preferred language and send that to your provider. So, how do you trigger this notification on iPhone OS?

  What i am trying to do is a simple recommender , must take the biggest weighted top 40 element's node2 element. Calculation for weight comes from (E.WEIGHT * K.GRADE). Now this code succesfully returns top 40 elements. However, i don't want E.NODE2 to return duplicates. POSTGRE SQL allowed me to do SELECT DISTINCT ON (NODE2) E.NODE2 , (E.WEIGHT * K.GRADE). How can i do the same in oracle? In addition, each number appears only once in the array. Assume that you can access each element of the array only once. Describe an algorithm to sort it. How i can sorting? If you used auxiliary storage in your algorithm, can you find an algorithm that remains O(n) space complexity?
