  • How to make a cell of TAdvStringGrid editable?

    I am trying to implement a filter using the component TAdvStringGrid. My requirement is that I want the first row of this component to be editable when double clicked, so that the user can filter data. Borland C++ Builder is used to help achieve this task. I found this event OnCanEditCell. TCanEditCellEvent = procedure (Sender:TObject;Arow,Acol:longint;var canedit:boolean) of object; Within this function I've set canedit = true. This doesn't seem to work. Probably I need to do something more. I am new to Windows and GUI development. So any help would be great. Do I need to call this function from the OnDblClickCell event? How can I get it working? Thanks in advance

    Hey Guys, I am trying to generate a full rss feed, however when loading the feed in Mail, it just shows the title, with a read more link at the bottom. I have tried several different options. But none seem to work. I would like to generate the feed with a combination of several feeds in my modl.     I'm trying to create something similar to the diggbar : http://digg.com/http://cnn.com I'm using Visual Studio 2010 and Asp Development server. However, I can't get the ASP dev server to handle the request because it contains "http:" in the path. I've tried to create an HTTPModule to rewrite the URL in the BeginRequest , but the event handler doesn't get called when the url is http://localhost:5957/http://yahoo.com. The event handler does get called if the url is http://localhost:5957/http/yahoo.com To summarize http://localhost:5957/http/yahoo.com works http://localhost:5957/http//yahoo.com does not work http://localhost:5957/http://yahoo.com does not work http://localhost:5957/http:/yahoo.com does not work Any ideas?

But the response is lost, in the console ---type of data = String ---data in function = So for some reason I am not getting the response back. Works from the browser. I even tried doing a get against cnn.com and got no response. any ideas? thanks

Default.png displayed about 5 seconds, all loading process completed in 1~2 seconds after log appeared. What's happening before executing main() function on iPhone app?

    Hi, I am trying to use jQuery to position an inpage div (Context-Menu) relative to a clicked tablerow on a webpage. This works fine until I add an offset with either "left" or "margin-left" to the outer container. Using padding-left works.... The relevant code is: $('#supermenu').position({ my: "left top", at: "left top", of: $(event.target).closest('tr'), collision: "fit" }); The caller looks like: <tr onclick="getMenu(event)"><td>.... What happens: The left margin is added "twice" to the X Offset, so the Menu is not aligned to the left border of the table but somewhere right of it. The offset from the border is exactly the offset from the outer container. Anybody can shed some light? Oliver

  • WPF webbrowser - get HTML downloaded?

    I'm listening to the WPF webbrowser's LoadCompleted event. It has some navigation arguments which provide details regarding the navigation. However, e.Content is always null. Am I paying attention to the wrong event here? How can I fetch the HTML that was just downloaded as string? I tried some things which I would consider hacks, but they return a string of HTML, even though that was not the string downloaded. For instance, with that method when I go to a page which just sends me the string abc, I get the result <document><body>abc</body></document> or something similar. I would prefer not getting into any more hacks than nescessary to get this running.

    Hi, Is there a possibility to block chance to add the same data to SPList? I know that two records always are different regarding the ID field. I would like to validate other custom fields added previously by me, and don't allow of adding same field's value. Can anybody tell me how to implement this? I can guess that event receivers could be the answer but I couldn't find how to add a receiver to SPList. Can anybody tel me If I'm right and what is step by step procedure to add such event receiver? I would like to know how to build it and install it using Feature file. Best Regards T.S.

  • sql server replication algorithm.

    Anyone know how the underlying replication model in sql server works? Do they essentially depend on UTC datetime values to determine if something is new or do they keep a table of all the changes (like a table of tableID+rowid that have changed). I am building my own "replication" system and was planning on using the dates to know what to replicate. Then I started wondering what would happen if the date got off in the computer for some reason. The obvious choice is to keep a log of the changes as you go and once you replicate those changes, you remove from the log of changes. But thats a lot of extra work, instead of just checking dates. I figure if sql server replication works by just checking the dates, then that should be good enough for me. Any wisdom here? thanks

  • can Yahoo and Hotmail contacts api be used without leaving the site?

    I might be missing something but I'm trying to implement a contacts retrieval mechanism akin to the one that is offered by Google for Yahoo and Hotmail. Both APIs seem to require the user to actually go to their sites to log in. The documentation is really convoluted for both. I was hoping someone has done this and can point me to a simple way (if there is one) to allow the user to log in directly in my app and then for me to go and fetch their contacts for them (preferably in XML, but JSON would also do nicely). I currently have a Perl script that goes and gets the gmail stuff and works very nicely. I was (maybe wildly optimistically) hoping that Yahoo and Microsoft would have similarly useful mechanisms.

    Hi, is it possible to capture a click event on a scrollbar? I have some code where i am observing the click and mousedown events on the document. However, it seems that when I click on the scrollbar, the event is not captured. This leads me to believe that the scrollbars aren't really part of the document. (Assumption :-)) Is this a correct assumption?     So, I'm attempting to access the content of an object and for the life of me can't figure out why I can't. I'm starting to believe that the object doesn't have the properties that Firebug indicates that it does. More likely than that I'm just not using the right syntax to access them. Give the following function: function(userData) { console.log(userData); // statement 1 console.log(userData.t_nodecontent); // statement 2 } Which generates the following FireBug output for statement 1 and unknown for statement 2. Is there something obvious that I'm overlooking in the way I'm attempting to reference the value of t_nodecontent? I'm at a loss :(

    I am using jQuery. I keep all of my function definitions wrapped in the $(document).ready event in application.js. I have a function from it that I would like to call somewhere in the body of the page I am working on. I was wondering if there is some alternative to the .ready event that will work on a script load. Ideally I would like to do something like: $('application.js').ready( call function ); In the jQuery documentation it only mentions the $(document).ready call but I was wondering if this can be altered or if there is some plain javascript alternative.
