    We are doing embedded device and due to low memory contraints and closed enviroment best option there would be using one of TLS-PSK ChiperSuites (pre shared key - no asymetric cryptography). As far as I see there is no TLS-PSK support in Schannel http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa374757%28VS.85%29.aspx but is there any way to use TLS-PSK on IIS?

  • Cannot uninstall XP SP3 update

    I need to uninstall Service Pack 3 because it broke a program I rely on (FrameMaker). I have done this before on other computers using Microsoft's SP3 uninstall instructions. However, on this computer, SP3 is not listed in Add/Remove Programs (and, yes, I have checked the "Show Updates" checkbox), there's no "$NtServicePackUninstall$" restore directory, and either Windows didn't create a restore point for the SP3 install or it has fallen off of the list of restorable points. Does anyone know of any other options?

  • Server 2012, ADFS 2.1, and Office 365

    Has anyone gotten ADFS 2.1 on Server 2012 working with o365 SSO? I have it working up to a point, I tweaked the registry to allow the powershell commands to run, user accounts syncs fine. Even the remote connectivity analyzer shows no errors. But SSO itself does not seem to be passing the credentials correctly. Microsoft claims that ADFS 2.1 is not supported to work with o365, but I'm just being stubborn and not giving up that easy.

    I am running Windows7 RC1, I have recently installed CheckPoint VPN SecureClient (http://www.checkpoint.com/products/vpn-1_clients/) to connect to my work network. On installation this appears to have disabled Fast User Switching. You will notice "Switch user" is now greyed out. I tried some googleing first and the most popular solution is to remove a registry entry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ GinaDLL I have no entry there. Any ideas? Thanks.

That's great, but is it also possible to tell the prerequitiinstaller to download the files and keep them in its prerequisite directory?   • Windows 7 Mobile Device center Xperia x1 problem

    Hello I recently installed Windows 7 on my computer and having trouble to sync it with my Xperia X1 mobile phone. I tried to install ActiveSync 4.5 but Microsoft told me to install Mobile Device Center instead. The problem is that the computer doesn't recognize the phone so no drivers is installed for it and that prevents the Mobile Device Center to find my phone. Does anyone know how to fix this?     I have bought Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. It's working just as I want it except that "back" button on the right side. I constantly hit it with the thumb and browser goes back. I am not used to this behavior, since my older mouse didn't have such a button. I just want to get rid of it -- disable the button once and forever, so if I clicked it -- nothing should happen.

    This occurred after a Trojan incident. We managed to get the Trojan cleaned off the computer, but now we can't Right click the desktop. We have tried changing HKCU/software/microsoft/windows/current version/policies/explorer/noviewcontextmenu in the registry, and group policy user configuration/administrative templates/windows explorer/remove windows explorers default context menu, but neither worked. How do we reenable the right-click menu for the desktop? (it works everywhere else)

    On Windows 7, applications signed by "Microsoft Windows Publisher" don't prompt for elevation when UAC is turned on. Is there any way that I can add my own code-signing certificate to the UAC exclusions list, to get the same behaviour? I've got a couple of utilities that I always want to run elevated, so if I could sign them myself and install my self-signed CA certificate somewhere, and then bypass the UAC prompt, that'd save me time every morning when I log in.

I need to enable Outlook Office access on the user's PC but Microsoft Outlook Office does not show in the Add Programs\Set Program Access\Custom section. There are tools that allow you to hide the icon for Set program access but I need to add content, specifically Outlook Office. Outlook Express is enabled but I don't need it.
