  • Complex SQL query... 3 tables and need the most popular in the last 24 hours using timestamps!

    Hey guys, I have 3 tables with a column in each which relates to one ID per row. I am looking for an sql statement query which will check all 3 tables for any rows in the last 24 hours (86400 seconds) i have stored timestamps in each tables under column time. After I get this query I will be able to do the next step which is to then check to see how many of the ID's a reoccurring so I can then sort by most popular in the array and limit it to the top 5...     I'm currently working on a website in PHP, and I'm wondering what the best practices/methods are to reduce the time requests take. I've build the site in a modular way, so a page would consist of a number of modules, and each of these would need to request information. For example, I have a cart module, that (if a cart is set) will fetch the cart with the id (stored in a session variable) from the database and return its contents. I have another module that lists categories and this needs to fetch the categories from the database. My system is built with models, and each model might also make a request, for example a category model will make a request to get products in that category.

  • IE8 CSS Table Effect

    I've been trying to make this cross browser (specifically IE), but I do not want to use tables. I will not be able to specify the container width with CSS because its contents (the image) will dynamically change with Javascript, so I need the container to 'auto-size' horizontally. The desired effect would be a centered image with two sets of text (one of the left and one of the left) directly underneath the image, aligned to it's inner edges.   • Variable height header with scrollable content area filling remaining viewport area

    I've seen versions of this simple problem raised a dozen times here and elsewhere on the web, but I haven't seen a solution that works for me yet so I'm asking it again. I want a webpage with a variable height full width header (height based on contents). Below that I want a content area that fills the rest of the browser viewport. If the content is larger than the remaining space in the viewport then I want the content area to scroll. I don't need this to work on IE6. I don't care whether the solution uses CSS, tables or a mixture of the two, just no frames and no Javascript. For a bonus point fix a variable height footer to the bottom of the page.

Are all those necessary? Also for sanitizing, I use prepared statements to prevent sql injections.     Hi guys: I do this query(1): (1)SELECT * FROM t1 WHERE title LIKE 'key%' LIMIT 1 I need to do a second(2) query only if this previous query has no results (2)SELECT * FROM t1 WHERE title LIKE '%key%' LIMIT 1 basically i need only 1 row who got the most close title to my key. Atm i am using an UNION query with a custom field to order it and a LIMIT 1. Problem is I don't want to do the others query if already the first made the result. Thanks

QTY is a derived column | Position | QTY -------------------- 1 Clerk 2 2 Mgr 2 Here's what I'm not having luck with: SELECT Position, Count(position) AS 'QTY' FROM tblemployee Where ('QTY' != 1) GROUP BY Position I know that my Position is set up as varchar(255) Count produces a integer data and my where clasue is accurate so that leads me to believe that that Count() is jamming me up.     I'm working on a universal app that uses a SplitViewController to present a master-detail view. In the iPad HIG on Split Views, Apple states: In general, indicate the current selection in the left pane in a persistent way. This behavior helps people understand the relationship between the item in the left pane and the contents of the right pane. This is important because the contents of the right pane can change, but they should always remain related to the item selected in the left pane. So I'm trying to maintain selection state on the left. Easy enough when the user taps, I just remove the deselectRowAtIndexPath:animated: message from tableView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath: implementation. But, I also want the selection state to show up by default (without a user tap). I wound up putting this in my tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath: implementation: if (UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() == UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad) { if (cellShouldBeSelected) cell.selected = YES; else cell.selected = NO; } The behavior I'm seeing, is that when the cells finall appear, for a fraction of a section the cell is indeed selected, but then the selection disappears without any user interaction. Any ideas? I set the new clearsSelectionOnViewWillAppear property to NO, but that doesn't seem to fix it, and it shouldn't really matter because I'm marking the cell as selected long after viewWillAppear is called - I'm actually doing it after some network activity and then sending the table view a reloadData message.

  • Drupal Views pulling Data Fields

    I'm a little new to drupal but have been using things like devel module and theme developer to speed up the learning process. My question, is it possible to theme an entire views BLOCK from a single views tpl.php page OR even a preprocess? When I'm grabbing the $view object I can see results $node-result, it has all of the results, but it doesn't have all my views fields. I'm missing things like, node path, taxonomy titles and paths, etc. From my understanding, Drupal wants you to individually theme EACH output field. It seems rather superfluous to create so many extra templates when I've already got over HALF of my results coming through the $view object Would outputting node over field make this easier? Or am going in the wrong direction with $view-result? Thanks!
