  • method for creating PHP templates (ie html with variables)?

    I'm designing my html emails, these are to be a block of html containing variables that i can store in a $template variable. My problem comes with the storing in the variable part. putting all my html into php makes it a pain in the bum to work with. for example, the below code is fine for a simple email but once i start getting nested tables etc its going to get really confusing... $template.= 'Welcome ' . $username . '<br /><br /><br />'; $template.= 'Thank-you for creating an account <br /><br />'; $template.= 'Please confirm your account by click the link below! <br /><br />'; $template.= '<a href="' . $sitepath .   • X11 forwarding from one server to other

    I have a setup where I need to forward X11 from my local machine (laptop) to a Virtual machine. The server hosting this VM cannot be reached directly from my laptop. I need to first login to a gateway and from this gateway, I can access the VM. How can I forward X11 from my laptop to this VM? I have tried following but these do not work: [laptop # ] ssh -X [gateway] [gateway # ] ssh -X [VM] [laptop # ] ssh -tX [gateway] ssh -X [VM] I could forward X11 only till the gateway. (DISPLAY variable gets set on gateway)

  • How do I fix my VM's network connection if it seems to be running ok from the host?

    I have a virtual machine (made with vmware) with a linux ubuntu os installed on it (i have a series of them), with NAT network connection - i am running vmware on Windows XP (my host system); the virtual machine can't connect to the internet. All the vmware services seem to be working fine from windows point of view, but inside the machine i can't connect to the internet. What is strange is that the virtual machine was able to use the internet some time ago, but all of a sudden, i just can't use my internet on the virtual machine - i have made no changes to the settings, nor in windows, nor in the virtual machine - so i don't understand.
