    Many products on amazon are unavailable but a date is given for when they'll be in stock. I've used AWS and got an XML reply but I can't find the date information anywhere. Is it possible to get this information? Thanks.   • Is looping through the entityreference the correct way?

    I want to get all users that have a specific role to a list of usernames. Is using .Include to include all the users, and going through the UsersReference the best way to loop through all the users that are associated with the role? I noticed I could not do a foreach(User user in role.Users) but UsersReference seem to work, but is that how it's supposed to be done?   • Sales by Category in Magento?

    We have a category called "Clearance" on our Magento website. Ideally it would be nice to be able to get a report of all orders sold in that category. Is there anyway I can join the orders collection with the products collection and filter by category id?   • Strategy for storing and displaying form dropdown data for provinces, states, prefixes?

    I'm currently migrating from a class that stores lists of countries, states & provinces in the form of arrays to using Zend's Locale data in the form of ldml xml files. These ldml files provide localised lists of countries, currencies, languages - so I'm not exactly sure where I should store US States, ( Canadian Provinces ), Prefixes - I was thinking possibly just create a generic xml file and store it in the same directory as the ldml files, but having doubts because it wouldn't really be localised as I'd store it in English. Should I go with storing it in a generic xml file, or possibly update each of the locale files ( eg en.xml ) and append them? The latter is probably not worth the work, which is why I'm swaying towards just a general.xml or dropdown-data.xml. As for generating dropdown options, I suppose I could just say, grab all US states, append the array with Canadian provinces, and append that with an 'Other' option - does this seem like the right way to go about?

    I have two files a.txt and b.txt (henceforth a and b). My script iterates through a, does some operation, and potentially inserts a line to b. In the event the script stops, I need it to pick up where it left off. In the example below: foo was copied to b bar was copied to b zim was not copied to b (did not pass some criteria) gaz was copied to b Script stops (for whatever reason) When script starts again, how to open a and start on line "dib"? a.txt foo bar zim gaz // <= last successful copy dib // <= I want to start here on next script execution gir b.txt foo bar gaz // <= note omission of "zim" above gaz

  • How do I call exec in psake to an executable with a variable path?

    I can't seem to call this executable correctly in my psake deploy script. If I do this: exec { "$ArchiverOutputDir\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install" } It simply outputs this (and is clearly not calling the executable - just outputting the value of that expression): c:\ReloDotNet2_ServiceEndpoints\Archiver\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install But if I do this: exec { c:\ReloDotNet2_ServiceEndpoints\Archiver\NServiceBus.Host.exe /install } I get the expected output from the executable. How do I correctly call an executable with a variable in the path to the executable in psake? If this is actually a PowerShell issue, please feel free to correct the question to reflect that insight.   • EF Code first + Delete Child Object from Parent?

    I have a one-to-many relationship between my table Case and my other table CaseReplies. I'm using EF Code First and now wants to delete a CaseReply from a Case object, however it seems impossible to do such thing because it just tries to remove the CaseId from the specific CaseReply record and not the record itself.. short: Case just removes the relationship between itself and the CaseReply.. it does not delete the CaseReply.   • how to read an address in multiple formats like google maps

    notice that on google maps you can input the address any way you like. as long as it is a valid address...google maps will read it. In some ruby book I had seen code snippet for something like this, but with phone numbers. Any ideas how this could be done for addresses? in language of your choice. EDIT: i dont care about a "valid" address. I just want to parse an address. so that 123 fake street, WA, 34223 would be an address and so will 123 fake street WA 34223

Like why not just pass the username and password through the parameters instead? Is it more secure to do it like the way the guy is in the tutorial verus just using passing it through as parameters?     I use a service application I created in Delphi. My problem is that it is sometimes terminated by the operating system and I don't know why this happens. When I go the the system events, I can find a piece of information like this one: Event ID: 7034, The [...] service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this [...] time(s). I know you can't give me an answer why this happens, but could you please give me a clue what to pay attention to to find the reason of that behaviour? For instance what kind of exceptions could make the OS close an application. Thank you in advance.

    I'm trying to use Reducisaurus Web Service to minify CSS and Javascript but I've run into a problem... Suppose I've two unminified CSS at: http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/typography.php?font=Arial According to the docs I should call the web service like this: http:/reducisaurus.appspot.com/css?url=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red And if I want to minify both CSS files at once: http:/reducisaurus.appspot.com/css?url1=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red&url2=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red If I wanted to specify a different number of seconds for the cache (3600 for instance) I would use: http:/reducisaurus.appspot.com/css?url=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red&expire_urls=3600 And again for both CSS files at once: http:/reducisaurus.appspot.com/css?url1=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red&url2=http:/domain.com/dynamic/styles/theme.php?color=red&expire_urls=3600 Now my question is, how does Reducisaurus knows how to separate the URLs I want? How does it know that &expire_urls=3600 is not part of my URL? And how does it know that &url2=... is not a GET argument of url1? I'm I doing this right? Do I need to urlencode my URLs? I took a peek into the source code and although my Java is very poor it seems that the methods acquireFromRemoteUrl() and getSortedParameterNames() from the BaseServlet.java file hold the answers to my question - if a GET argument name contains - or _ they should be ignored?! What about multiple &url(n)s?

As long as something fits RAM it's fine - once it's too big it gets ridiculously slow (in many different scenarios). There are only so many ways one can avoid hitting disk - so the question is - does Amazon or some other cloud provide SSD option?

  • ASP.NET 2.0 files work in one folder, but NOT in another

    I am about to leap of a building. I have created an app for a client and all the files are in a folder on their D drive. Now it is time to go production, so I copied all my files and folders to their excisting classic asp folder on the same drive. BUT NOTHING WORKS. The only difference I can see is that DEV does not require HTTPS like the production site. I also made sure all the permissions are the same on both folder. I made sure that the GAC has read rights using the aspnet_regiis tool. I am at the end of my debug knowlegde, could someone please help me out.     Hi all, Here is my question, I have a solution with 4 projects in it for a WCF Service : DLL Library : Service Interface. DLL Library : Service Code. Form Application : Service hosting application. Form Application : Service client application. I'd like to have certain properties of the service accessible for the hosting application but not for the client one. If I declare a property in the client interface they will both have access to it. In fact, my service manage user identity login and keep a list of all user currently logged in. I'd like to be able to show this list in the Hosting application, like a debugging tool. But I don't want the service client to be able to access to this list. How can I do ? Thank in advance.

Now what I want to achieve is the following. 1) A Porlet containing a form is called within a page via <?php $this->widget('form'); ?> 2) The user fills in this form and clicks on submit "The submit button should be an ajax button" 3) When submit has been pressed the form should call a method within the form portlet class and the form should be replaced with a Thank you message. 4) I only want the current view in the portlet replaced with another view.
