  • Zend_Form validation problem

    - by GrumpyCanuck
    I am having problems getting validation to work for a form built using Zend_Form. The idea is this: I have two dropdown. One is a list of players. The other is a list of free agents who play the same position as the player. I am using an onChange javascript callback to run some Ajax code that replaces the free agent list dropdown with a new one at the position of the player they've selected from the player dropdown. Now, perhaps this is the wrong way, but I built the form by creating an instance of Zend_Form and then creating all these setX methods that add elements to the form. My reasoning was that I wanted to display certain elements in specific places on the page, not just output $this-form on my template. The problem appears to be when I get the form post back, the validator seems to not know about the validation rule I set up for the free agent drop down. Here's some relevant code to look at. I'm a relative ZF n00b so feel free to tell me I am not doing things the ZF way if it leaps out at you. The action in the controller: public function indexAction() { if ($this->getRequest()->isPost()) { $form = new Baseball_Form_Transactions(); if ($form->isValid($this->_request->getPost())) { $data = $this->_request->getPost(); $leagueInfo = Doctrine::getTable('League')->findOneByShortName($data['shortLeagueName'])->toArray(); // Create the request top drop an existing player $transactionInfo = array( 'league_id' => $leagueInfo['id'], 'team_id' => $data['teamId'], 'player_id' => $data['players'], 'type' => 'drop', 'target_team_id' => 0, 'transaction_date' => date('Y-m-d H:m:s') ); $transaction = new Transaction(); $transaction->fromArray($transactionInfo); $transaction->save(); // Now we do the request to add a player $transactionInfo['team_id'] = 0; $transactionInfo['player_id'] = $data['freeAgents']; $transactionInfo['target_team_id'] = $data['teamId']; $transactionInfo['type'] = 'add'; $transaction = new Transaction(); $transaction->fromArray($transactionInfo); $transaction->save(); $this->_flashMessenger->addMessage('Added transaction'); } } $options = array( 'teamId' => $this->teamId, 'position' => 'C', 'leagueShortName' => $this->league ); $this->transactionForm->setMyPlayers($options); $this->transactionForm->setFreeAgents($options); $this->transactionForm->setTeamId($options); $this->transactionForm->setShortLeagueName($options); $this->view->transactionForm = $this->transactionForm; $this->view->messages = $this->_flashMessenger->getMessages(); $transaction = new Transaction(); $this->view->transactions = $transaction->byTeam($options); } Next we have the form itself public function setMyPlayers($options) { $data = Doctrine::getTable('Team')->find($options['teamId']); $players = array(); foreach ($data->Players->toArray() as $player) { $players[$player['id']] = "{$player['position']} - {$player['first_name']} {$player['last_name']}"; } $playersSelect = new Zend_Form_Element_Select( 'players', array( 'required' => true, 'label' => 'Players', 'multiOptions' => $players, ) ); $this->addElement($playersSelect); } public function setFreeAgents($options) { $q = Doctrine_Query::create() ->select('CONCAT(p.first_name, " ", p.last_name) as full_name, p.id, p.position') ->from('Player p') ->leftJoin('p.Teams t') ->leftJoin('t.League l ON l.short_name = ?', $options['leagueShortName']) ->where('t.id IS NULL') ->andWhere('p.position = ?', $options['position']) ->orderBy('p.last_name'); $q->setHydrationMode(Doctrine_Core::HYDRATE_ARRAY); $data = $q->execute(); $freeAgents = array(); foreach ($data as $player) { $freeAgents[$player['id']] = $player['full_name']; } $freeAgentsSelect = new Zend_Form_Element_Select( 'freeAgents', array( 'label' => 'Free Agents', 'multiOptions' => $freeAgents, 'size' => 15 ) ); $freeAgentsSelect->setRequired(true); $this->addElement($freeAgentsSelect); } public function setShortLeagueName($options) { $shortLeagueNameHidden = new Zend_Form_Element_Hidden( 'shortLeagueName', array('value' => $options['leagueShortName']) ); $this->addElement($shortLeagueNameHidden); } public function setTeamId($options) { $teamIdHidden = new Zend_Form_Element_Hidden( 'teamId', array('value' => $options['teamId']) ); $this->addElement($teamIdHidden); } There is no init or __construct() method in the form. My problem seems simple enough: reject the form contents as invalid if they have not selected someone from the free agent list. Right now, it sails through as valid. I've spent some considerable time searching online for an answer, and haven't been able to find it. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • How would I access the Windows Login (Authentication) API from a C++ Service Application?

    - by Gabriel
    Let us imagine for a moment that I have a piece of hardware that can act as an authentication for a user on a given system. I want to write an application in C++ to run as a service, look for this device and if found log the appropriate user in. I believe I have found the API's I would need to use to perform the hardware and service portions of the application but am having a hard time nailing down a way to create a "real" user login. Is this possible? If so where would I look to find resources on accomplishing this? I think of it as being an analog to fingerprint scanner login type devices.

  • EF4 CTP5 Code First approach ignores Table attributes

    - by Justin
    I'm using EF4 CTP5 code first approach but am having trouble getting it to work. I have a class called "Company" and a database table called "CompanyTable". I want to map the Company class to the CompanyTable table, so have code like this: [Table(Name = "CompanyTable")] public class Company { [Key] [Column(Name = "CompanyIdNumber", DbType = "int")] public int CompanyNumber { get; set; } [Column(Name = "CompanyName", DbType = "varchar")] public string CompanyName { get; set; } } I then call it like so: var db = new Users(); var companies = (from c in db.Companies select c).ToList(); However it errors out: Invalid object name 'dbo.Companies'. It's obviously not respecting the Table attribute on the class, even though it says here that Table attribute is supported. Also it's pluralizing the name it's searching for (Companies instead of Company.) How do I map the class to the table name?

  • How can I create a finger scrollable Textbox in WM 6.5?

    - by Papajohn
    Hi everybody. I just noticed something weird in WM 6.5 emulators. Unlike 6.1 where finger panning kind of worked, the only way to scroll a Textbox appears to be through scrollbars. This behaviour is in contrast to what they have done for comboboxes: they are now gesture-friendly without the programmer's intervention. I.e. the user can select a choice from a standard drop down menu by panning and scrolling. Previously, you had to use the embedded scrollbar. The combobox's case implies that MS took some measures to provide standard gesture support for classic finger gestures, yet I cannot see something similar for textboxes. This makes me ask the following: Is there anything that can be done to make textboxes finger scrollabe easily? Note that I refer to managed .NET CF development. It is my understanding that in native development I could use the new Gestures API to achieve the scrolling effect. Yet, I am not sure if there is an easier and more straightforward method that I have missed.

  • Get highest frequency terms from Lucene index

    - by Julia
    Hello! i need to extract terms with highest frequencies from several lucene indexes, to use them for some semantic analysis. So, I want to get maybe top 30 most occuring terms(still did not decide on threshold, i will analyze results) and their per-index counts. I am aware that I might lose some precision because of potentionally dropped duplicates, but for now, lets say i am ok with that. So for the proposed solutions, (needless to say maybe) speed is not important, since I would do static analysis, I would put accent on simplicity of implementation because im not so skilled with Lucene (not the programming guru too :/ ) and cant wrap my mind around many concepts of it.. I can not find any code samples from something similar, so all concrete advices (code, pseudocode, links to code samples...) I will apretiate very much!!! Thank you!

  • SQL Server 2005 - query with case statement

    - by user329266
    Trying to put a single query together to be used eventually in a SQL Server 2005 report. I need to: Pull in all distinct records for values in the "eventid" column for a time frame - this seems to work. For each eventid referenced above, I need to search for all instances of the same eventid to see if there is another record with TaskName like 'review1%'. Again, this seems to work. This is where things get complicated: For each record where TaskName is like review1, I need to see if another record exists with the same eventid and where TaskName='End'. Utimately, I need a count of how many records have TaskName like 'review1%', and then how many have TaskName like 'review1%' AND TaskName='End'. I would think this could be accomplished by setting a new value for each record, and for the eventid, if a record exists with TaskName='End', set to 1, and if not, set to 0. The query below seems to accomplish item #1 above: SELECT eventid, TimeStamp, TaskName, filepath FROM (SELECT eventid, TimeStamp, filepath, TaskName, ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY eventid ORDER BY TimeStamp DESC) AS seq FROM eventrecords where ((TimeStamp >= '2010-4-1 00:00:00.000') and (TimeStamp <= '2010-4-21 00:00:00.000'))) AS T WHERE seq = 1 order by eventid And the query below seems to accomplish #2: SELECT eventid, TimeStamp, TaskName, filepath FROM (SELECT eventid, TimeStamp, filepath, TaskName, ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY eventid ORDER BY TimeStamp DESC) AS seq FROM eventrecords where ((TimeStamp >= '2010-4-1 00:00:00.000') and (TimeStamp <= '2010-4-21 00:00:00.000')) and TaskName like 'Review1%') AS T WHERE seq = 1 order by eventid This will bring back the eventid's that also have a TaskName='End': SELECT eventid, TimeStamp, TaskName, filepath FROM (SELECT eventid, TimeStamp, filepath, TaskName, ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY eventid ORDER BY TimeStamp DESC) AS seq FROM eventrecords where ((TimeStamp >= '2010-4-1 00:00:00.000') and (TimeStamp <= '2010-4-21 00:00:00.000')) and TaskName like 'Review1%') AS T WHERE seq = 1 and eventid in (Select eventid from eventrecords where TaskName = 'End') order by eventid So I've tried the following to TRY to accomplish #3: SELECT eventid, TimeStamp, TaskName, filepath FROM (SELECT eventid, TimeStamp, filepath, TaskName, ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY eventid ORDER BY TimeStamp DESC) AS seq FROM eventrecords where ((TimeStamp >= '2010-4-1 00:00:00.000') and (TimeStamp <= '2010-4-21 00:00:00.000')) and TaskName like 'Review1%') AS T WHERE seq = 1 and case when (eventid in (Select eventid from eventrecords where TaskName = 'End') then 1 else 0) as bit end order by eventid When I try to run this, I get: "Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'then'." Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Haven't seen any examples anywhere quite like this. I should mention that eventrecords has a primary key, but it doesn't seem to help anything when I include it, and I am not permitted to change the table. (ugh) I've received one suggestion to use a cursor and temporary table, but am not sure how badley that would bog down performance when the report is running. Thanks in advance.

  • Tomcat 5.5 as service on Windows Server 2008 64bit

    - by netterdotter
    Hi, Has anybody managed to get Tomcat to run as a service on Win2008 64bit? I need it for a 3rd party component that my site relies on. It works fine otherwise, but I just can't get it to run as a service. I've tried all the googling I can, and experimented with various 64bit tomcat.exe / tomcatw.exe without success. Upgrading to Tomcat 6 didn't help either. I'm running Java 1.5 64bit.

  • Is it legal to have different SOAP namespaces/versions between the request and response?

    - by Lord Torgamus
    THIRD EDIT: I now believe that this problem is due to a SOAP version mismatch (1.1 request, 1.2 response) masquerading as a namespace problem. Is it illegal to mix versions, or just bad style? Am I completely out of luck if I can't change my SOAP version or the service's? SECOND EDIT: Clarified error message, and tried to reduce "tl;dr"-ness. EDIT: [Link deleted, not related] Using soapUI, I'm sending a request that starts with: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" ... and getting a response that starts with: <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" ... I know the service is getting the info, because processes down the line are working. However, my soapUI teststep fails. It has two active assertions: "SOAP Response" and "Not SOAP Fault." The failure marker is next to "SOAP Response," with the following message: line -1: Element Envelope@http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope is not a valid Envelope@http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ document or a valid substitution. I have tried mixing and matching the namespace prefixes and schema URLs. Changing prefixes seems to have no effect; changing URLs causes a VersionMismatch error. I have also tried to use a substitution group, but that doesn't seem to be legal.

  • How can I query Google Spreadsheets API with a string value?

    - by ColinM
    I am using Zend_Gdata_SpreadsheetsListQuery. In PHP my query is: "confirmation=$confirmation" The problem is that $confirmation = 'AB-CD-EFG-012345'; Apparently the hyphens are causing problems with the query and the exception thrown is: Uncaught exception 'Zend_Gdata_App_HttpException' with message 'Expected response code 200, got 400 Parse error: Invalid token encountered' How can I quote or escape the value to not cause parse errors? Single quotes cause the same error, double quotes don't throw errors but there are no results to match.

  • Type conversion between PHP client and Java webservice

    - by a1ex07
    I have a web service implemented as EJB. One of it's methods returns Map<String,String>. On client side I use php : $client = new SoapClient($wsdl,array("cache_wsdl"=>WSDL_CACHE_NONE)); $result = $client->foo($params); Everything works fine, but I would like $result-return to be an associative array. Now it looks like array(10) { [0]=> object(stdClass)#46 (2) { ["key"]=> string(4) "key1" ["value"]=> string(4) "val1" } .... I want array(10) {"key1"=>"value1", "key2"=>"value2", .... } The obvious solution is to iterate through this array and create a new array $arr = array(); foreach ($result->return as $val) $arr[$val->key] = $val->value; But I wonder if there is a better way to get an assosicative array ? Thanks in advance.

  • What's the simplest way to create a Zend_Form tabular display with each row having a radio button?

    - by RenderIn
    I've seen simple examples of rendering a Zend_Form using decorators, but I'm not sure they are able to handle the issue I'm facing very well. I query the database and get an array of user objects. I want to display these users as a form, with a radio button next to each of them and a submit button at the bottom of the page. Here's roughly what the form will look like: [user id] [email] [full name] ( ) 1 [email protected] Test user 1 (*) 2 [email protected] Test user 2 [SUBMIT] Is this something achievable in a reasonably straightforward way or do I need to use the ViewScript partial?

  • How to override the behavior of Spring @Autowired

    - by Mark
    Hi a little background: I am Using Spring 2.5, and specifically spring IOC and annotations. I am using @Autowired in my code (the Autowiring is done by type) and use @Component for exposing Classes to the Automatic wiring. The situation described bellow arose while i tried to test my code. now to the problem: Note: i use a different Spring Context for the Test environment. I have a class FOO which is @Autowired but in the test context i want to use a different class of the same type MockFoo (extends FOO) The Spring Setup of course fails do so automatically due to multiple options for the Dependency Injection of the FOO class (both FOO and MockFOO comply to the Type check) I am looking for a way to inject the test bean instead of the original bean. I expected Spring to allow using the Context configurion file to override a bean injection or to order Spring not to autowire a specific bean BUT All these option seem to exists only for the beans which were originally defined in the Spring Context Configuration file

  • Deleting objects through foreign key relationship with T-SQL query

    - by LaserBeak
    Looking for a way to write the following LinQ to entities query as a T-SQL statement. repository.ProductShells.Where(x => x.ShellMembers.Any(sm => sm.ProductID == pid)).ToList().ForEach(x => repository.ProductShells.Remove(x)); The below is obviously not correct but I need it to delete respective ProductShell object where any ShellMember contains a ProductID equal to the passed in variable pid. I would presume this would involve a join statement to get the relevant ShellMembers. repository.Database.ExecuteSqlCommand("FROM Shellmembers WHERE ProductID={0} DELETE FK_ProductShell", pid); I have cascade delete enabled for the FK_ShellMembers_ProductShells foreign key, so when I delete the ProductShell it will delete all the ShellMembers that are associated with it. I am going to pass this statement to System.Data.Entity Database.ExecuteSqlCommand method.

  • Hadoop on Amazon EC2 : Job tracker not starting properly

    - by Algorist
    Hi, We are running Hadoop on Amazon EC2 cluster. We start the master, slaves and attach the ebs volumes and finally waiting for hadoop jobtracker, tasktracker etc to start and we have timeout of 3600 seconds. We are noticing 50% of the time that job tracker is not able to start before the timeout. Reason being, hdfs is not initialized properly and still in safemode and job tracker is unable to start. I noticed few connectivity issues between nodes on EC2 as I tried manually pinging slaves. Did anyone face similar issue and know how to solve this? Thank you Bala

  • EF4. Add a object with relationship causes full table select

    - by Fujiy
    Ex 1: "autor.ComentariosWorkItens.Add(comentarioWorkItem);" autor.ComentariosWorkItens makes EF4 load all ComentariosWorkItens. Ex 2: comentarioWorkItem.Usuario = autor; Fixup make EF load all ComentariosWorkItens too: private void FixupUsuario(Usuario previousValue) { if (previousValue != null && previousValue.ComentariosWorkItens.Contains(this)) { previousValue.ComentariosWorkItens.Remove(this); } if (Usuario != null) { if (!Usuario.ComentariosWorkItens.Contains(this)) { Usuario.ComentariosWorkItens.Add(this); } } } How can I prevent this?

  • Running an existing LINQ query against a dynamic object (DataTable like)

    - by TomTom
    Hello, I am working on a generic OData provider to go against a custom data provider that we have here. Thsi is fully dynamic in that I query the data provider for the table it knows. I have a basic storage structure in place so far based on the OData sample code. My problem is: OData supports queries and expects me to hand in an IQueryable implementation. On the lowe rside, I dont have any query support. Not a joke - the provider returns tables and the WHERE clause is not supported. Performance is not an issue here - the tables are small. It is ok to sort them in the OData provider. My main problem is this. I submit a SQL statement to get out the data of a table. The result is some sort of ADO.NET data reader here. I need to expose an IQueryable implementation for this data to potentially allow later filtering. Any ide ahow to best touch that? .NET 3.5 only (no 4.0 planned for some time). I was seriously thinking of creating dynamic DTO classes for every table (emitting bytecode) so I can use standard LINQ. Right now I am using a dictionary per entry (not too efficient) but I see no real way to filter / sort based on them.

  • .Net Entity objectcontext thread error

    - by Chris Klepeis
    I have an n-layered asp.net application which returns an object from my DAL to the BAL like so: public IEnumerable<SourceKey> Get(SourceKey sk) { var query = from SourceKey in _dataContext.SourceKeys select SourceKey; if (sk.sourceKey1 != null) { query = from SourceKey in query where SourceKey.sourceKey1 == sk.sourceKey1 select SourceKey; } return query.AsEnumerable(); } This result passes through my business layer and hits the UI layer to display to the end users. I do not lazy load to prevent query execution in other layers of my application. I created another function in my DAL to delete objects: public void Delete(SourceKey sk) { try { _dataContext.DeleteObject(sk); _dataContext.SaveChanges(); } catch (Exception ex) { Debug.WriteLine(ex.Message + " " + ex.StackTrace + " " + ex.InnerException); } } When I try to call "Delete" after calling the "Get" function, I receive this error: New transaction is not allowed because there are other threads running in the session This is an ASP.Net app. My DAL contains an entity data model. The class in which I have the above functions share the same _dataContext, which is instantiated in my constructor. My guess is that the reader is still open from the "Get" function and was not closed. How can I close it?

  • Get street address at lat/long pair

    - by Chris Wenham
    I've seen that it's possible to get the latitude and longitude (geocoding, like in Google Maps API) from a street address, but is it possible to do the reverse and get the street address when you know what the lat/long already is? The application would be an iPhone app (and why the app already knows lat/long), so anything from a web service to an iPhone API would work.

  • How to make a composite Zend Form Element that includes a Dojo Field

    - by Joe
    I used the zendcast video to get me this far. The form is properly displayed. However, I need to change the display order box into a number box of zend dojo type. I cannot figure it out. Even help with examples would be great. <?php class My_View_Helper_CategoryDetailElement extends Zend_View_Helper_FormElement { protected $html = ''; public function CategoryDetailElement($name, $value = null, $attribs = null) { $type = $description = $displayOrder = $time = ''; if($value) { $type = $value->type; $description = $value->description; $displayOrder = $value->displayOrder; $time = $value->time; } $helper = new Zend_View_Helper_FormText(); $helper->setView($this->view); $helper_label = new Zend_View_Helper_FormLabel(); $helper_label->setView($this->view); $helper_select = new Zend_View_Helper_FormSelect(); $helper_select->setView($this->view); $helper_textarea = new Zend_View_Helper_FormTextarea(); $helper_textarea->setView($this->view); $this->html .= $helper_label->formLabel($name .
