• ASP.Net Form Databound problems

  I know there is a similar problem on this forum, but the solutions did not really work for me. I am populating form controls with fields from a few different data sources, and the data shows up great. I have an ImageButton controlwhich has an OnClick Event set to grab all of the data from the form. Unfortunately, when I click the button, it seems as though the page is reloading first, and THEN is executes the OnClick call. The data that was hand-entered, or hard-coded seems to be pulled fine from the controls it was entered in, but anything that was pulled from a datasource is not able to be read. Any ideas. this is the last hurdle in a project that I have been working on for 6 months. I want to go home... Thank you so much in advance. Jason

• Asp.net Script manager conflicting with button

  Hi there. I'm working on an asp.net app and I have some controls that are created dinamically on the OnInit event. One of that controls is an asp button that has been working fine until now. When I add a ScriptManager to my page, that same button is unnable to postback. It's only working if a take the ScriptManager out. has anything like this ever appened to somebody else? Am I invalidating the page somehow? • How to disable the third zoom button in webview of Android ?

  I want to disable the third button that creates a rectangle to zoom in other than +/- buttons in my WebView which uses builtin zoom controls. How can I do that ? I am able to do this for WebView without using built-in zoom controls by myWebview.getZoomControls().getTouchables().get(2).setVisibility(View.INVISIBLE); But how to do the same for built-in zoom controls ? Also I am extending the WebView class and overriding the onTouchEvent for tracking touch events inside my WebView as this is not possible by default, since zoom buttons consumes the touch event.

  Hello friends, What i am trying here is to pass values to other pages. • Did anyone see the spasticNav.js Menu for jQuery ?

  Helooo all, If anyone doesn't know what i'm talking about, this is the link: http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/html-css-techniques/how-to-build-a-lava-lamp-style-navigation-menu/ How can i click the menu, and make it “stick” :) without reloading the whole page ? The plugin takes a static state of the tag UL – and run the plugin on it. which mean that if i move the “currentPageItem” from the first LI tag and give it to the next LI tag – the spasticNav doesn’t run for each object again. it still “remembers” the old state. ( because the .js file run only once at the top of the page ) So what should I add to the code in order to get dynamic “Click” event ? ( without reloading the whole page [ ajax ] ) Does anyone have any ideas about this specific plugin ? Thanks.

  I'm building a simple flash site for a friend who has a spa. I keep getting this error: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at spa7_fla::MainTimeline/frame1() through the process of commenting out code, i've narrowed down to my link section: vox_link.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,gotoVox); function gotoVox(evtObj:Event):void { var voxSite:URLRequest=new URLRequest("http://www.voxmundiproject.com"); navigateToURL(voxSite, "_blank"); } With this section commented out, i don't get the 1009 error. When the code is active, I get the error. My code syntax is correct so I'm stumped. Does someone have an idea what my be wrong? Thanks!

• How do I visualize a complex graph in .Net?

  I need to visualize a graph (technically being a set of Entity Framework objects, but I can translate it to another representation if needed) of this kind. I don't know how to name it (by the way, if you know - I'll appreciate if you tell me). It would be ideal for graph elements to be clickable (so that when user clicks on a block, I can handle an event with the element id specified) but I can survive even without any interactivity. Are there any components available good for this task? If no, what should I look for to help me to develop an algorithm for drawing such a graph with visually-comfortable layout?

• FF extension: displaying an array of string elements in a sidebar

  I am developing a ff extension which displays a list of elements from an array (dynamic) in the sidebar. The array is dynamic and needs to be constructed in a function everytime the sidebar is opened (or any other event handler). Later, i will need to implement link functionality on parts of the string. What is the best way to go about this? I have created an empty sidebar and just know the label element as of now. menu, and menuitem dont work. What other elements can i use to display text in a good way which supports dynamic contruction. Is there some good tutorial/sample extension which i can see and learn?

  I am trying to create a Validation in a reusable fashion. Purpose: Make the validation control reusable. Error Provider should associate with control passed dynamically and can be set or cleared at run time. How can I give these dynamically create mc's a name or custom property? ideally I would like to use a custom property called portfolio.id but would use the name property or another default property if it works.

• Is there an easy way to sign a C++ CLI assembly in VS 2010?

  Right now I am setting the Linker/Advanced/KeyFile option. I am getting the "mt.exe : general warning 810100b3: is a strong-name signed assembly and embedding a manifest invalidates the signature. You will need to re-sign this file to make it a valid assembly.". Reading from the web, it sounds like I have to set the delay signing option, download the SDK, and run sn.exe as a post build event. Surely there must be an easier way to do this common operation in VS2010?

• jQuery show submit button on input field click

  Hi, I'm trying to have a comment input field that will show the submit button on a dynamically created form when you click on the input field. Similar to how facebook comments work. When you click on the input field the submit button appears and when you click off it disappears. All the comment input id's are comment_1 etc and the submit button id's are submit_1 etc. I've tried this, jQuery("#[id^='comment_']").live('click',function(event){ if(jQuery("#[id^='comment_']").val() == ""){ jQuery("#[id^='submit_']").hide(); } else { jQuery("#[id^='submit_']").show(); } }); And that won't work for some reason. • Is SELECT INTO able to affect data from its original table during UPDATE

  Whilst asking this question asp.net scheduling timed events user murph posted some insightful information: Point about this is that its very, very simple - you have an process for exchange that is performing a clearly defined task and you have a high frequency task that is not doing anything particularly complex, its a straightforward query (select from table where sent = false and send at < value) - probably into temporary table so that you can run a single query update after you've done the sends - that you can optimise the index for. You're not trying to queue up a huge pile of event triggers, just one that fires once a minute and processes things that are due. Is it possible to SELECT data from table X INTO table Y and have the UPDATES that are performed on table Y pushed into table X? I guess the alternative would be that the data gets updated in table Y then an update command can be run on table X based on the data in table Y. What would be the advantage of selecting into another table? Thank you,

• Flex chart ItemRollOver behavior

  Hi Guys, I'm trying to prevent a default chart item roll over highlight in a Spark column chart. If you look at any of the chart examples on this page , when you roll over any of the chart series items, they turn a darkened shade of their original colour. This is what I want to prevent. So far I have had no luck with using the itemRollOverColor property, as this only allows you to set it to one specific colour for the whole chart (my app has several different coloured series on the chart at once). Also, trying to leverage the itemRollOver event (with preventDefault() etc) hasn't worked either. Does anyone have any idea what I am missing here? Thanks for reading guys

  Hello, I'm trying to build my own custom control for a windows forms application in C#.Net. Currently I paint some rectangles and other graphic elements using the paint event. When I now resize the app form to fit the desktop size, all elements are repainted (which is exactly the behaviour I need) but the old one's are shown in the background. Here's what I'm doing by now: Pen penDefaultBorder = new Pen(Color.Wheat, 1); int margin = 5; private void CustomControl_Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e) { CustomControl calendar = (CustomControl)sender; Graphics graphics = e.Graphics; graphics.Clear(Color.WhiteSmoke); graphics.DrawRectangle(penDefaultBorder, margin, margin, calendar.Width - margin * 2, calendar.Height - margin * 2); //... } Neither the graphics.Clear, nor adding a graphics.FillRectangle(...) will hide the old rectangle from the surface.   Hi everyone, I'm writing Remote Desktop clone in C++ using QT. So far I'm able to move the mouse cursor around fine. QT has a nice setPos function for that. However, I'm a bit lost as to what API/Library to use for simulating mouse button clicks. One method I'm aware of is to send the WM_(event) to a window using the window's HWND. However, I was hoping there was a more salient method for taking complete control over a mouse. Is there any other way to tell the operating system that the left mouse button has been clicked? • Pass Value between MDI Child in WinForm using C#

  I have an MDI Parent, containing a MenuStrip. When I click on one of the Menu, two Child Forms are displayed simultaneoulsy. I have a TextBox and a Send Button on one of my ChildForm. When I type-in something in that TextBox and Click the Send Button, I need to show that value in the TextBox of my Second Child Form. What I had done is, I wrote a Public Function in the Second Child Form and tried to invoke it by creating an object of Second Form, on the Send Button click event. When I put break points, in that Public Function, I find that the control is flowing through that Public function on cliking the Send button. But the passed value is not displayed. And, I know that is not the standard way to do that. Any sample script for help? Thanks.

  I have a rating table. It boils down to: rating_value created +2 april 3rd -5 april 20th So, every time someone gets rated, I track that rating event in the database. I want to generate a rating history/time graph where the rating is the sum of all ratings up to that point in time on a graph. I.E. A person's rating on April 5th might be select sum(rating_value) from ratings where created <= april 5th The only problem with this approach is I have to run this day by day across the interval I'm interested in. Is there some trick to generating a running total using this sort of data? Otherwise, I'm thinking the best approach is to create a denormalized "rating history" table alongside the individual ratings.

I know [request respsonseHeaders] (requestFinished: delegate method ) can do that. I tested and found that requestFinished: is only triggered when it completed the download of a whole single file. But I hope to access the function [request respsonseHeaders] before ASIHTTPRequest starting to download files (just when ASIHTTPRequest got the returned header info).   Hello, I'm trying to make a small program that could intercept the open process of a file. The purpose is when an user double-click on a file in a given folder, windows would inform to the software, then it process that petition and return windows the data of the file. Maybe there would be another solution like monitoring Open messages and force Windows to wait while the program prepare the contents of the file. One application of this concept, could be to manage desencryption of a file in a transparent way to the user. In this context, the encrypted file would be on the disk and when the user open it ( with double-click on it or with some application such as notepad ), the background process would intercept that open event, desencrypt the file and give the contents of that file to the asking application. It's a little bit strange concept, it could be like "Man In The Middle" network concept, but with files instead of network packets. Thanks for reading.

  I have a website with a flag. If it is clicked, the language of the website changes. I assume that it might be a setting of IE. But what could that be?
