  • ASP.NET - What happens when a HttpCookie expiration has been crossed

    Hello, I am creating some cookies in my ASP.NET application. These cookies expire 10 minutes after they have been created. I follow the approach described on MSDN as shown here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.httpcookie.expires.aspx My question is, when a cookie "expires", what happens? Does the browser automatically delete the cookie? Is it our responsibility as developers to remove the cookies if they exist and have expired? Thank you,

    HI I am not able to add .mdf file in App_data(vs 2008 web developer). If i right click on App_data and try to add new item and select sql server file and click OK. I am getting error as "Connections to Sql Server files(*.mdf) require SQL Server Express 2005 to function properly.Please verify the installation of the component or download from the url:http://www.microsoft.com/Sqlserver/2005/" But i have installed SQL Server Express 2005 still it is giving the same error(i have installed sql server after installing vs 2008) Please help me

    I have deployed one web project into Azure emulator. And I get this error saying that Could not load file or assembly Base. The thing is that this web project, got dependencies to another project in the same solution. I have added that dependency into the reference list of my web project. And if I run this web application without using the azure emulator it will run fine. But I will get error when I try to run it on the azure emulator. At first glance I thought that I maybe need to add the other project as role also. But it couldn't be that. Anyone know what the problem might be? I hope I got enough data for you to look into. My solution structure looks like following Solution Base WebAPI WebAPI.Azure And it is the WebAPI that has a dependency to the Base project Here's the Assembly load trace WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.     Does anyone have any good answer what kind of difference there is between using some arbitrary pre-formatted Excel 2007 *.xlsx file as a template, loading it in my C# app, and filling up some of its cells with data using the Microsoft OpenXML SDK versus creating specific Excel templates (*.xltx) files and using those as basis for my "data filling" exercise Do I loose something when I don't use the Excel templates (*.xltx)?     Hi, I'm getting this error when trying to restore an SSAS database from a backup: The ddl2:MemberKeysUnique element at line 63, column 4862 (namespace http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine/2) cannot appear under Load/ObjectDefinition/Dimension/Hierarchies/Hierarchy. Google hasn't turned up any helpful solutions. (a lot of people found that installing SP2 made the error go away but this has always previously worked in our environment) I don't really understand what the error means. Can somebody interpret or suggest a fix? Thanks, Phil

    I need to script a way to install IPV4 on windows xp the reason is i have many pc with a corrupt win sock registry so the fix Microsoft has is to delete the reg keys hklm/system/currentcontolset/services/winsock and winsock2 and then to run a netsch ip reset which creates the winsock2 part of the registry then the part i need to script is go to network adapter properties goto tcpip and install a new protocol and select tcp/ip and install it which uses the file c:\windows\inf\nettcpip.inf and then this creates the winsock part is there a way to script this part?? i have looked and cant find anything

Pskill (from Sys-Internals) causes a graceful exit. DotCrash.exe doesn't seem to be available anymore from Microsoft directly. Is there any way to externally cause a crash in a process?
