    Hi, I'm running through the Ruby on Rails tutorial at http://guides.rubyonrails.org/getting_started.html (adjusting where appropriate for Google's App Engine). All is well up till section 6.3: when I try to click "New Post", I get the following error: Internal Server Error (500) Request Method: GET Request URL: http://localhost:8080/500.html access denied (java.io.FilePermission /dev/urandom read) It works fine when I upload the application to Google's App Engine; it's just on my development machine (OS X 10.6) that it doesn't work. Please take note, that the web service will be using for a registration page, in which checks if the user was exist on the database.So there is no authentication happened on this process. What are the approach to secure the calling of the exposed web service?

    Hi, I'm having a small problem with mod_rewrite I have the following in my .htacces: Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^(.+)\.htm$ index.php?name=$1 [NC] This is my index.php file: <?php echo $_GET['name]; ?> This works great for the following url: www.mySite.com/this is an example.htm this would display "this is an example" What i'm trying to do however, is get it to do the same, without the .htm extension: for example: www.mySite.com/this is an example Any ideas? (dont think it's relevant but i'm using xampp to test this)

    I am writing a module for my organization to cache XML feeds to static files to an arbitrary place on our webserver. I am new at Drupal development, and would like to know if I am approaching this the right way. Basically I: Expose a url via the menu hook, where a user can enter in a an output directory on the webserver and press the "dump" button and then have PHP go to drupal and get the feed xml. I don't need help with that functionality, because I actually have a prototype working in Python (outside of Drupal).. Provide a callback for the form where I can do my logic, using the form parameters. I want different controllers/actions to be invoked depending on the presence of a parameter after the '?'.     I am running weblogic 9. When I enter an incorrect URL below the application root I redirect 404 request to a customized error page. Eg. http://localhost:7001/myApp/non-existent redirects to my customised error page. Is there a way to do this for all incorrect URLs entered, not necessarily below the application root? Eg. http://localhost:7001/anything_non-existent should redirect to my customized error page, not the web-logic default one? Thanks
