  • Google Mock for iPhone development?

    I have an interesting situation where I am refactoring a bunch of ObjC iPhone code to create a C++ API. I'm a novice to C++ and looking into C++ mocking frameworks to augment the work I'd done using OCUnit and poor man's mocks. I ran across googlemock and wanted to know if anyone has ever used it for iPhone development? Also, how can I share this (or mockpp) with other devs as it is an installable package and doesn't seem to lend itself to checking into a repository?

    I have a GWT app that when launched it takes you to a page with just a menu. So as a shortcut type thing I would like the users to be able to go straight to the page they want. So if the default start page is x, the should be able to say x/add and it will take them to the add page. How would I get that in gwt? Do I need a bunch of different entry points?

  • Adobe Flash or After Effects: How to make a piece of virtual paper blow away?

    About a month ago I saw a portfolio website in Flash that featured a stack of cards, and each time you clicked on it, they sort of blew all over the place, thus exposing the backs as videos and pictures. Although I could easily take a bunch of 3D planes and tween them to turn and flip, these cards actually seemed to 'bend'. How is this effect achieved? Sorry I don't have the link to the example.     Hi folks, I am running into this issue and don't know what to do ? 'abc.exe': Loaded 'D:\Windows\SysWOW64\nvoglv32.dll', Cannot find or open the PDB file earlier I was getting a whole bunch of errors, but the microsoft symbols source set the issue for all of them except this one file : nvoglv32.dll ; does anybody know how I can resolve this issue or get my hands on the file "nvoglv32.pdb" ?   • jquery multiple ajax check for all done? (order not important)

    Is there a neat way to make sure a bunch of ajax callbacks have all finished? They don't need to be executed in order, i just need all the data to be there. one idea is to have them all increment a counter on completion and check if counter == countMax, but that seems ugly. Also, are there sync issues? (from simultaneous read/write to the counter)

    My Rootviewcontroller uses NSURLConnection to get data from a server, and then, based on this data, loads a bunch (like 7) of smaller UIViewControllers that each also use their own NSURLConnection to get some more specific data from the server. But, the problem is, only the RooTViewController is recieving callbacks from: - (void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)theConnection the other UIViewControllers never get callbacks...

    So I'm having problems when I try to publish the website. I'm in visual studio 2008 sp1. I've got a bunch of user controls and on a few pages I'm using them programatically. I've got a reference on the aspx page <%@ Reference Control="~/UserControls/Foo.ascx" % Then on the code behing I use ASP.usercontrols_foo newFoo control = (ASP.usercontrols_foo)Page.LoadControl("~/UserControls/Foo.ascx"); If I navigate to the page it works fine, but when I goto publish the website I get a compile time error.

  • How do I organise my libraries in sub-directories in a web application project

    I am working on a huge web-application with hundreds of dependencies (jar files). I want to organise the jars in sensible way as each piece of software comes with its bunch of jar files and when I want to remove or upgrade version of that software it will be easier to do if kept in sub directories. Problem is that when using a web-server (I'm using tomcat), all libs need to be under WEB-INF/lib folder, you cannot create subdirectories otherwise it doesn't load the jars in subdirectories. Do I really need to go the full fledged way creating a class MemThread(threading.Thread) and overwriting __init__ and __run__?

    I am trying to get one of my developers set up to work on a fairly large .NETCF project. When we try to simply deploy the solution and all of its projects to a target device, deploying one of the projects triggers several assemblies from the desktop framework to be copied from the GAC to the device. What on earth could cause this? The assemblies from the "big" framework are ones like System.DirectoryServices, System.Design, and a bunch of others.

    I am planning on deploying a database to SQL Azure, so I cannot use the SQL CLR. However, I have a need to create an aggregate function -- in my case, I need to STUnion a bunch of Geography objects together. (Azure is expected to support Spatial by June.) Is there another way to accomplish this, without making use of the CLR, in a query? Or do I have to create a UDF that will take a table as a parameter and return the aggregate?

For some reason though, longs compile but floats do not: class MY_CONSTS { public : static const long LONG_CONST = 1; // Compiles static const float FLOAT_CONST = 0.001f; // C2864 }; Gives the following error: 1>c:\projects\myproject\Constant_definitions.h(71) : error C2864: 'MY_CONSTS::FLOAT_CONST' : only static const integral data members can be initialized within a class Am I missing something?
