  I'm trying to output the following HTML using Html.ActionLink: <a href="/About" class="read-more">Read More<span class="arrow">?</span></a> I'm getting it done by doing an ActionLink, which outputs an tag and then manipulating the string. <%= Html.ActionLink("[[replace]]", "Index", "About", null, new { @class = "read-more" }).ToHtmlString().Replace("[[replace]]", "Read More" + "<span class='arrow'>?</span>")%></p> It'd be good if I could put HTML directly into the ActionLink but there doesn't seem to be a way based on my internet searches. Sure, it works but it seems like a hack. Is there a better way to accomplish this?

• SLF4J, Common Logging, console output

  I have this 3rd party library that has: slf4j-api-1.5.5.jar slf4j-jdk14-1.5.5.jar jcl-over-slf4j-1.5.5.jar I want to write some tests against this library and see its log output, and I don't want to add any more logging libraries (no log4j or anything else). I understand that SLF4J and Common Logging are both logging abstractions so I probably need to write my own simple concrete logger (or maybe not, since jcl-over-slf4j includes org.apache.commons.logging.impl.SimpleLog?). If so, what interfaces should I implement, and more importantly, how do I set up SL4J/Common Logging to use my logger in my test? I read in the SLF4J docs that I have to modify the StaticLoggerBinder class... does that really mean that I actually have to download SLF4J sources, modify the class and recompile it?

• Glassfish v3 Domain Output Log is not ending after the netbeans debug is stopped

  I would like to know if anybody is experiencing the problem on endless if log that is too long when Netbeans Debugging session is stopped? We use java logging in our web application but if I stop the debug, suddenly in the Output Glassfish v3 Domain window, there are a lot of log that is being dump. The log would last so long, that I need to click the Stop the Server because if I don't the Netbeans logger would consume too much memory that makes it too slugish later. I am not sure how long until the log stop but it last for minutes. Any ideas here?

  Hi there, I've had this problem bending my mind for a while now (head cold doesn't help either!), basically I have a PHP array which looks like this example: $array[0][0] = 'apples'; $array[0][1] = 'pears'; $array[0][2] = 'oranges'; $array[1][0] = 'steve'; $array[1][1] = 'bob'; And I would like to be able to produce from this a table with every possible combination of these, but without repeating any combinations (regardless of their position), so for example this would output Array 0 Array 1 apples steve apples bob pears steve pears bob But I would like for this to be able to work with as many different arrays as possible. I would like build failure to be optional (ie: a setting) if they are found. I've tried Checkstyle as suggested in the related post, but it doesn't display the text of the TODO:.   Hi, I'm using Zend_Test_PHPUnit_ControllerTestCase to test my controllers. This class provides various ways to test the rendered output, but I don't want to get my view scripts involved. I'd like to test my view's vars. Is there a way to access to the controllers view object? • Understanding the output of ldd

  I'm having a hard time understanding the output of ldd - Especially the processor identifiers. The string in question is this one: Shortest.so: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, from ']', not stripped I have several questions about it: What does "ELF" mean? I know that's what Linux binaries are called like (Windows Binaries are called PE Binaries, "Portable Executable" Binaries), but isn't ELF an abbreviation for something? What does LSB mean? I can't even guess it... I see the string "Intel" there, now I seriously wonder about the portability of Linux binaries, as ldd seems to expect every binary to be compiled on a intel processor... but what if it wasn't compiled on a Intel processor? Or when I attempt to run the binary on a computer that doesn't run ontop of a Intel processor? Why the ']'? My guess is it should be some sort of Linker identify, but ']' doesn't look much like a Identifier... Thanks in advance

• Gradle java.util.logging.Logger output in unit tests

  Dear All: Sorry this is probably a very simple question. I am using gradle http://www.gradle.org/ for my development environment. It works quite well! I have written a simple unit test that uses HtmlUnit and my own package. For my own package, I use java.util.Logger. HtmlUnit seems to use commons logging: http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/logging.html I would like to see console output of my logging messages from java.util.Logger However, it seems that even messages at the info level are not displayed in my Unit Test Results GUI (System.err link), although the HtmlUnit messages are all displayed.   Working on some tweaks for a build script, I noticed that the output from svn export has an 'A' in column 1 for each file exported. A C:\build\file1 A C:\build\file2 A C:\build\file3 The subversion book describes the meaning of the various columns for svnlook changes and svn status, but I'm not having much luck finding the meaning behind this one. What does the 'A' in column 1 mean? Are there any other values displayed there? Any other columns? Thanks!

  Hello...I am new to PHP (never really used it before tonight) and I need to use a PHP script to read the contents of a file on my website (http://kylemills.net/Geocaching/BadgeGen/MacroFiles/BadgeGenBeta.gsk) and then take some specific varying data and output it. For example: If my file contains the text: random text Here is some text #There is some text here too $Version = "V2.2.23 Beta" random text #some more text $Text="some text" If the above was the contents of my file, I need the script to return "V2.2.23 Beta" (without quotes). The idea is that as I update the file, the version changes and I want this to be reflected across my site. • Output Flash Trace to Firebug Console

  Hello, I am trying to output my Flash application's trace to the firebug console. After some Goggling I have found that other are doing something like this: public static function debug(text: Dynamic):Void { trace(text); ExternalInterface.call("console.log", text.toString()); } My Firebug console never outputs anything and always just shows "Please Reload Page to enable..." So, of coarse, I have reloaded the page and it does not seem to change anything. I have the correct Object imported into the calling class. I am running FireBug 1.4.2.   I'm using Eclipse for writing Python, and I want to be able to easily clear the screen. I've seen this question, and tried (among other things suggested there) the following solution import os def clear(): os.system('cls' if os.name == 'nt' else 'clear') but it doesn't entirely solve my problem. Instead of clearing the screen, the routine prints a small square (as if wanting to print an unknown character) to the command output window in Eclipse. Typing cls in the command line works perfectly fine, as does running a Python script with the above code from command line. But how can I make it look nice in Eclipse as well?

• TFS build problem: missing assembly in test output folder

  Hi all, I am trying to integrate unit test cases with a TFS build in our new solution. I've include the following configuration line in my TFSBuild.proj <ItemGroup> <TestContainer Include="$(OutDir)\%2aTest.dll" /> </ItemGroup> Which I think is the correct configuration since I only have 1 test project. However, when I do this, some dll is missing in the output folder of the test case, hence failing most of my test case. Has anyone run into this problem before? Thanks!

• Allow native DLL to output stdout / stderr in c# console application

  I have a native DLL which outputs via stdout / stderr. I have a C# console application which calls this DLL and outputs binary data to a parent C# application which started the C# console exe, processing stdout / stderr. Currently when I call the C# exe it works just fine (the DLL hooks up to the stdout of my console application and puts its data in just fine). Is this by design (and shouldn't be broken in future .NET framework versions)? Are there limitations on my managed code's deployment with this strategy (full-trust, permission requirements, GAC issues, etc)? I can't seem to find any documentation about stdout with a managed exe and an unmanaged dll both putting data in that standard output on MSDN. Thanks,

  I have an application that runs the a command as below: <command> >& /dev/null I have no control on this. All the o/p generated by this command goes to /dev/null. I want the output to be visible on screen or redirected to a log file. I tried to use freopen() and related functions to reopen /dev/null to another file, but could not get it working. • Intermec PF8t printer - print output with wrong orientation

  I am using an Intermec PF8t for label printing. My labels are the size of 40mm(width) and 20mm (height) and they are rendered in a crystal report from where I print them dynamically. The problem is that no matter what the page orientation I specify either in crystal report or in printer settings, the result is printed vertically(i.e. my output gets rotated by 90 degrees) whereas I want it to print horizontally (as in normal left to right printing) . Strangely, when I print the label at design time, everything prints as it should. One important thing to mention is that i print my label report programmatically using crystal reprot's PrintToPrinter() method. Any ideas... I have pretty much exhausted all the information available at intermec's portal but to no avail.
