  • Adding User License Agreement in Solaris package

    - by Adil
I have asked similar question for Linux RPM (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2132828/adding-license-agreement-in-rpm-package). Now i have same query for Solaris package. I could not get any helpful link / details if it is possible. But I have found a package which does exactly the same thing but how it has been implemented, its not mentioned. $pkgadd -d . SUNWsamfsr SUNWsamfsu Processing package instance from Sun SAM and Sun SAM-QFS software Solaris 10 (root)(i386) 4.6.5,REV=5.10.2007.03.12 Sun SAMFS - Storage & Archiving Management File System Copyright (c) 2007 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All Rights Reserved. ----------------------------------------------------- In order to install SUNWsamfsr, you must accept the terms of the Sun License Agreement. Enter "y" if you do, "n" if you don't, or "v" to view agreement. y -The administrator commands will be executable by root only (group bin). If this is the desired value, enter "y". If you want to change the specified value enter "c". y ... ... Any ideas how to implement such thing for Solaris package?

  • Fast way to get a list of group members in Active Directory with C#

    - by Jeremy
    In a web app, we're looking to display a list of sam accounts for users that are a member of a certain group. Groups could have 500 or more members in many cases and we need the page to be responsive. With a group of about 500 members it takes 7-8 seconds to get a list of sam accounts for all members of the group. Are there faster ways? I know the Active Directory Management Console does it in under a second. I've tried a few methods: 1) PrincipalContext pcRoot = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain) GroupPrincipal grp = GroupPrincipal.FindByIdentity(pcRoot, "MyGroup"); List<string> lst = grp.Members.Select(g => g.SamAccountName).ToList(); 2) PrincipalContext pcRoot = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain) GroupPrincipal grp = GroupPrincipal.FindByIdentity(pcRoot, "MyGroup"); PrincipalSearchResult<Principal> lstMembers = grp.GetMembers(true); List<string> lst = new List<string>(); foreach (Principal member in lstMembers ) { if (member.StructuralObjectClass.Equals("user")) { lst.Add(member .SamAccountName); } } 3) PrincipalContext pcRoot = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain) GroupPrincipal grp = GroupPrincipal.FindByIdentity(pcRoot, "MyGroup"); System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry de = (System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry)grp.GetUnderlyingObject(); List<string> lst = new List<string>(); foreach (string sDN in de.Properties["member"]) { System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry deMember = new System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry("LDAP://" + sDN); lst.Add(deMember.Properties["samAccountName"].Value.ToString()); }

  • Asp.net Login Status Question: It Aint Working

    - by contactmatt
I'm starting to use Role Management in my website, and I'm current following along on the tutorial from http://www.asp.net/Learn/Security/tutorial-02-vb.aspx . I'm having a problem with the asp:LoginStatus control. It is not telling me that I am currently logged in after a successful login. This can't be true because after successfully logging in, my LoggedInTemplate is shown. The username and passwords are simply stored in a array. Heres the Login.aspx page code. Protected Sub btnLogin_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) _ Handles btnLogin.Click ' Three valid username/password pairs: Scott/password, Jisun/password, and Sam/password. Dim users() As String = {"Scott", "Jisun", "Sam"} Dim passwords() As String = {"password", "password", "password"} For i As Integer = 0 To users.Length - 1 Dim validUsername As Boolean = (String.Compare(txtUserName.Text, users(i), True) = 0) Dim validPassword As Boolean = (String.Compare(txtPassword.Text, passwords(i), False) = 0) If validUsername AndAlso validPassword Then FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(txtUserName.Text, chkRemember.Checked) End If Next ' If we reach here, the user's credentials were invalid lblInvalid.Visible = True End Sub Here is the content place holder on the master page specifically designed to hold Login Information. On successfull login, the page is redirected to '/Default.aspx', and the LoggedIn Template below is shown...but the status says Log In. <asp:ContentPlaceHolder Id="LoginContent" runat="server"> <asp:LoginView ID="LoginView1" runat="server"> <LoggedInTemplate> Welcome back, <asp:LoginName ID="LoginName1" runat="server" />. </LoggedInTemplate> <AnonymousTemplate> Hello, stranger. </AnonymousTemplate> </asp:LoginView> <br /> <asp:LoginStatus ID="LoginStatus1" runat="server" LogoutAction="Redirect" LogoutPageUrl="~/Logout.aspx" /> </asp:ContentPlaceHolder> Forms authentication is enabled. I'm not sure what to do about this :o.

    - by tooepic
hi, i am a php beginner and have a question for you please. i have a text file with list of first and last names like this: john, smith sam, lewis david, davidson mike, anderson in my sort.php file, it sorts that name list by first name in ascending order with index number, which will display like this: 1. david, davidson 2. john, smith 3. mike, anderson 4. sam, lewis also, in that sort.php file, there's a form for input type=text where you can type index number and a button to delete that index number entered in that text field: <form action="deletename.php" method="post"> <table> <tr valign="top"> <td>Delete: <input type="text" size="2" name="indexnumber" /> </td> <td> <div align="left"> <input type="submit" name="delete" value="Delete" /> </div> </td> </tr> </table> </form> now the question...is there anything i can do in that form to send the value of that index number i entered in the text field? in other word...if i enter 3, what can i do to that form to send the value "mike, anderson" to deletename.php? thanks in advance.

  • How to build a GridView like DataBound Templated Custom ASP.NET Server Control

    - by Deyan
I am trying to develop a very simple templated custom server control that resembles GridView. Basically, I want the control to be added in the .aspx page like this: <cc:SimpleGrid ID="SimpleGrid1" runat="server"> <TemplatedColumn>ID: <%# Eval("ID") %></ TemplatedColumn> <TemplatedColumn>Name: <%# Eval("Name") %></ TemplatedColumn> <TemplatedColumn>Age: <%# Eval("Age") %></ TemplatedColumn> </cc:SimpleGrid> and when providing the following datasource: DataTable table = new DataTable(); table.Columns.Add("ID", typeof(int)); table.Columns.Add("Name", typeof(string)); table.Columns.Add("Age", typeof(int)); table.Rows.Add(1, "Bob", 35); table.Rows.Add(2, "Sam", 44); table.Rows.Add(3, "Ann", 26); SimpleGrid1.DataSource = table; SimpleGrid1.DataBind(); the result should be a HTML table like this one. ------------------------------- | ID: 1 | Name: Bob | Age: 35 | ------------------------------- | ID: 2 | Name: Sam | Age: 44 | ------------------------------- | ID: 3 | Name: Ann | Age: 26 | ------------------------------- The main problem is that I cannot define the TemplatedColumn. When I tried to do it like this ... private ITemplate _TemplatedColumn; [PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty)] [TemplateContainer(typeof(TemplatedColumnItem))] [TemplateInstance(TemplateInstance.Multiple)] public ITemplate TemplatedColumn { get { return _TemplatedColumn; } set { _TemplatedColumn = value; } } .. and subsequently instantiate the template in the CreateChildControls I got the following result which is not what I want: ----------- | Age: 35 | ----------- | Age: 44 | ----------- | Age: 26 | ----------- I know that what I want to achieve is pointless and that I can use DataGrid to achieve it, but I am giving this very simple example because if I know how to do this I would be able to develop the control that I need. Thank you.

  • how to join tables sql server

    - by Rick
Im having some trouble with joining two tables. This is what my two tables look like: Table 1 Customer_ID CustomerName Add. 1000 John Smith 1001 Mike Coles 1002 Sam Carter Table 2 Sensor_ID Location Temp CustIDFK 1000 NY 70 1002 NY 70 1000 ... ... 1001 1001 1002 Desired: Sensor_ID Location Temp CustIDFK 1000 NY 70 John Smith 1002 NY 70 Sam Carter 1000 ... ... John Smith 1001 Mike Coles 1001 1002 I have made Customer_ID from table 1 my primary key, created custIDFK in table 2 and set that as my foreign key. I am really new to sql server so I am still having trouble with the whole relationship piece of it. My goal is to match one customer_ID with one Sensor_ID. The problem is that the table 2 does not have "unique IDs" since they repeat so I cant set that to my foreign key. I know I will have to do either an inner join or outer join, I just dont know how to link the sensor id with customer one. I was thinking of giving my sensor_ID a unique ID but the data that is being inserted into table 2 is coming from another program. Any suggestions?

  • Encrypting XML Element

    - by Kanta
    I have created XML file called users.xml Looks like this: <Users> <user> <uin>"0012345"</uin> <name>black</name> <email>"[email protected]"</email> <created>"3/02/2010"</created> </user> <user> <uin>"123456780"</uin> <name>sam</name> <email>"[email protected]"</email> <created>"3/02/2010"</created> </user> <user> <uin>"123456799"</uin> <name>kblack</name> <email>"[email protected]"</email> <created>"3/02/2010"</created> </user> </Users> I want to encrypt the element. Using code like XmlElement uinelement = (XmlElement)xmldoc.SelectSingleNode("Users/user/uin"); ...encrypts only first UIN from the user.xml file. How can I Encrypt all UIN elements? Thank you Kanta

  • How do I strip multiple (optional) parts of a SQL string using .NET Regular Expressions?

    - by Luc
I've been working on this for a few hours now and can't find any help on it. Basically, I'm trying to strip a SQL string into various parts (fields, from, where, having, groupBy, orderBy). I refuse to believe that I'm the first person to ever try to do this, so I'd like to ask for some advise from the StackOverflow community. :) To understand what I need, assume the following SQL string: select * from table1 inner join table2 on table1.id = table2.id where field1 = 'sam' having table1.field3 > 0 group by table1.field4 order by table1.field5 I created a regular expression to group the parts accordingly: select\s+(?<fields>.+)\s+from\s+(?<from>.+)\s+where\s+(?<where>.+)\s+having\s+(?<having>.+)\s+group\sby\s+(?<groupby>.+)\s+order\sby\s+(?<orderby>.+) This gives me the following results: fields => * from => table1 inner join table2 on table1.id = table2.id where => field1 = 'sam' having => table1.field3 > 0 groupby => table1.field4 orderby => table1.field5 The problem that I'm faced with is that if any part of the SQL string is missing after the 'from' clause, the regular expression doesn't match. To fix that, I've tried putting each optional part in it's own (...)? group but that doesn't work. It simply put all the optional parts (where, having, groupBy, and orderBy) into the 'from' group. Any ideas?

  • WP7 - listbox Binding

    - by Jeff V
I have an ObservableCollection that I want to bind to my listbox... lbRosterList.ItemsSource = App.ViewModel.rosterItemsCollection; However, in that collection I have another collection within it: [DataMember] public ObservableCollection<PersonDetail> ContactInfo { get { return _ContactInfo; } set { if (value != _ContactInfo) { _ContactInfo = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("ContactInfo"); } } } PersonDetail contains 2 properties: name and e-mail I would like the listbox to have those values for each item in rosterItemsCollection RosterId = 0; RosterName = "test"; ContactInfo.name = "Art"; ContactInfo.email = "[email protected]"; RosterId = 0; RosterName = "test" ContactInfo.name = "bob"; ContactInfo.email = "[email protected]"; RosterId = 1; RosterName = "test1" ContactInfo.name = "chris"; ContactInfo.email = "[email protected]"; RosterId = 1; RosterName = "test1" ContactInfo.name = "Sam"; ContactInfo.email = "[email protected]"; I would like that listboxes to display the ContactInfo information. I hope this makes sense... My XAML that I've tried with little success: <listbox x:Name="lbRosterList" ItemsSource="rosterItemCollection"> <textblock x:name="itemText" text="{Binding Path=name}"/> What am I doing incorrectly?

  • How to train yourself to avoid writing “clever” code?

    - by Dan Abramov
Do you know that feeling when you just need to show off that new trick with Expressions or generalize three different procedures? This does not have to be on Architecture Astronaut scale and in fact may be helpful but I can't help but notice someone else would implement the same class or package in a more clear, straightforward (and sometimes boring) manner. I noticed I often design programs by oversolving the problem, sometimes deliberately and sometimes out of boredom. In either case, I usually honestly believe my solution is crystal clear and elegant, until I see evidence to the contrary but it's usually too late. There is also a part of me that prefers undocumented assumptions to code duplication, and cleverness to simplicity. What can I do to resist the urge to write “cleverish” code and when should the bell ring that I am Doing It Wrong? The problem is getting even more pushing as I'm now working with a team of experienced developers, and sometimes my attempts at writing smart code seem foolish even to myself after time dispels the illusion of elegance.

  • Alcatel-Lucent Boosts Broadband Over Copper To 300Mbps

    - by Ratman21
alphadogg at Slashdot writes "Alcatel-Lucent has come up with a way to [0]move data at 300Mbps over copper lines. So far the results have only been reproduced in a lab environment — real products and services won't be available for at least a year. From the article: 'Researchers at the company's Bell Labs demonstrated the 300Mbps technology over a distance of 400 meters using VDSL2 (Very high bitrate Digital Subscriber Line), according to Stefaan Vanhastel, director of product marketing at Alcatel-Lucent Wireline Networks. The test showed that it can also do 100Mbps over a distance of 1,000 meters, he said. Currently, copper is the most common broadband medium. About 65 percent of subscribers have a broadband connection that's based on DSL, compared to 20 percent for cable and 12 percent for fiber, according to market research company Point Topic. Today, the average advertised DSL speeds for residential users vary between 9.2 Mbps and 1.9Mbps in various parts of the world, Point Topic said.'" • How to disable Alert volume from the command line?

    - by Bryce
There is an option in the Sound Preferences dialog, Sound Effects tab, to toggle Alert volume 'mute'. It works and suffices for my needs to disable the irritating system beep/bell. However, I reinstall systems a LOT for testing purposes and would like to set this setting in a shell script so it's off without having to fiddle with a GUI. But for the life of me I can't seem to find where this can be toggled via a command line tool. I've scanned through gconf-editor, pulseaudio's pacmd, grepped through /etc, even dug through the gnome-volume-control source code, but I am not seeing how this can be set. I gather that gnome-volume-control has changed since a few releases ago. Ideas?

  • Extra Life 2012 - The Final Plea ... Until the Next One

    - by Chris Gardner
I thought I'd share the email stream that my friends and family get about the event. So, here we are again. We scream closer to the event, and the goal is not met.I was approached by the ghost of feral platypii past last night. Well, approached is putting it lightly. I was mugged by the ghost of platypii past last night. He reminded me, in no uncertain terms that I have only reached the midway point of my fundraising goal. He then reminded me, in even less uncertain terms, that we are one week away from the event. There were other reminders past that, but this is a family broadcast. *shudder*Now, let us be serious for a moment. The event organizers claim a personal story helps to tug heart strings, whatever those are...I've been to Children's Hospital of Birmingham. I had to take Spawn, the Latter, there to verify she was not going to die. Instead, she's just a ticking time bomb for the next generation, but I digress. While I was there, I saw things. I saw child after child after child waiting for their appointment. I saw the most sublime displays of children's art juxtaposed with hospital sterilization that I could ever possibly imagine. I saw and heard things that only occur in the nightmares of parents, and I was only in the waiting rooms. But I will never forget the 10-ish year old girl that came in for her regularly scheduled dialysis appointment ... as if it was just another Friday afternoon. She had her school books, a little snack, a book to read for pleasure, and a DVD, in case she finished her homework a little early. You know, everything you'd need for an afternoon hooked up to a huge medical machine that going to clean out all the toxins in your blood. As she entered the secured area, she warmly greeted all the doctors and nurses with the same familiarity that I would greet the staff of my favorite coffee shop as I stopped in for my morning cup of coffee.I don't know the status of that little girl. I don't know if she's healthy or, quite frankly, alive. I don't even know her name, as I only heard it in passing for the 37 seconds our paths crossed. However, I do remember being incredibly moved and touched by her upbeat attitude about the situations, and I hope that my efforts last two Octobers got her, in some way, a little comfort. And, if she is still with us, I hope we can get her a little more.=== PREVIOUS MESSAGE FOLLOWS ===Greetings (Again),If you are receiving this updated message, then you didn't feel generous the first time. Now, I tried to be nice the first time. I tried to send a simple, unobtrusive email message to get you into the spirit. Well, much like the bell ringers that I ignore in front of the Wal-Mart, you ignored me.I probably should have seen that coming...However, unlike those poor souls, I know how to contact you. And I can find out where you live. So, so, so, you better feel lucky that I'm too lazy to terrorize you people, but cause I could do it.Remember, it's not for me, it's for those poor kids... and the feral platypii.  Because, we can make more children, but platypii are hard to come by.=== ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ===It's that time of year again. The time when I beg you for money for charity. See, unlike those bell ringers outside Wal-Mart, I don't do it when you have ten bazillion holiday obligations...Once again, I will be enduring a 24-hour marathon of gaming to raise money for Children Hospital in Birmingham. All the money goes straight to them, and you get to tell Uncie Samuel that you're good for that money. I'd REALLY like to break $1000 this year, as I have come REALLY close for the past 2 year to doing so.This year, the event will take place on October 20th, beginning at 8 A.M. Once again, I will try to provide some web streams, etc, if you want to point and laugh (especially if I have to result to playing Dance Central at 4 AM to stay awake for the last part.)Look at it this way, I'm going to badger you about this for the next month. You might as well donate some money so you can righteously tell me to shut the Smurf up.You can place your bid at the link below. Feel free to spread the word to anyone and everyone.I thank you. The children thank you. Several breeds of feral platypus thank you. Maybe, just maybe, doing so will help you feel the love felt by re-fried beans when lovingly hugged in a warm tortilla.Enjoy your burrito.http://www.extra-life.org/participant/cgardner
