  • Adding Emboss to a UILabel in a navigationItem.titleView (as seen with navigationItem.title)

    I'm trying to mimic the default emboss that automatically gets applied to navigationItem.title, as well as many other UIKit controls. As seen in this screenshot's title ("Table Cells"): I'm essentially trying to add 2 UILabels to the navigationItem.titleView, however the UILabels just show up as flatly drawn and it really just doesn't feel/look right :P I've thought about playing with shadows, but that would only give the embossed look (if even that) on one side of the label. Any ideas would be great! Thanks

I downloaded the Adroid SDK and added the path to Titanium: /Users/michael/Downloads/android-sdk-mac_86/ I can open e.g. Kitchen Sink in the iPhone Simulator without problems, but when I want to open it in Android then my screen looks like this: Screenshot Why is down there all the time, even after 2 hours of waiting, the label "loading..." ?

    In the .NET BCL there are circular references between: System.dll and System.Xml.dll System.dll and System.Configuration.dll System.Xml.dll and System.Configuration.dll Here's a screenshot from .NET Reflector that shows what I mean: How Microsoft created these assemblies is a mystery to me. Is a special compilation process required to allow this? I imagine something interesting is going on here.

I am not able to link what is displayed to what the inputs ans outputs are. For example in this case - seeing the snapshot, how do you determine that the inputs are 0 and 1 and the output is 01?

I just did netstat -ano and it gave me a huge listing of active connections (listening, established) does this mean when i close my appliation these connections are not being shutdown (close())? here is a screenshot: any advise on how to go about closing the connection when im done with it? i am trying to close the connection best to my knowledge but it appears im not doing enough. thanks for your time.

  • What would cause my Silverlight .xap to quadruple in size suddenly?

    I've been working on a Silverlight application. I just noticed that the .xap file is now four times as big as it was, what could have caused that? Here's some other info: there seems to now be many more language settings in the bin/Release directory I checked "Reduce size of .xap" in under Properties/Silverlight but that just brought it down from 1300 to 1200.   • Unable to find CFNetwork in XCode

    Hello, I am trying to use CFNetwork in my app so I tried adding CFNetwork.framework from the Edit Target dialog in XCode.     How does one add views to a window, so that the views are resized to fit within the window frame? The problem I'm making a sheet window containing 2 views, where only one of them is visible at a time, so it's important that the views have the same size as the window. My problem is that either view0 fits correctly and view1 doesn't or the other way around. I can't figure out how to give them the same size as the window. Possible solution I could just make sure that both views have precisely the same size within Interface Builder, then it would work. However I'm looking for a way to do this programmatically.   • Quicksilver quit launching Xcode

    Hi everyone, I've been launching Xcode from Quicksilver quite happily for weeks. Suddenly late yesterday, without changing either Xcode or Quicksilver, it started appearing like this: Screenshot There's no "open" option in the action list anymore. I rebooted with no joy. All my other applications launch. Xcode still launches from Spotlight. It just seems to be any app under /Developer/Applications. Any suggestions? cheers,Step
