    I have a binary files which needs to be sent as a string to a third-party web-service. Turns out it requires that it needs to be base64 encoded. In ruby I use the following: body = body << IO.read("#{@postalcard.postalimage.path}") body is a strong which conists of a bunch of strings as parameters. So...how do I base64 encode it into this string? Thanks.

    Hi, I cannot for the life of me figure this out, maybe someone can help. Using MODX a form takes user criteria to create a filter and return a list of documents. The form is one text field and a few checkboxes. If both text field and checkbox data is posted, the function works fine; if just the checkbox data is posted the function works fine; but if just the text field data is posted, modx gives me the following error: Error: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed. I've tested this outside of modx with flat files and it all works fine leading me to assume a bug exists within modx. But I'm not convinced.     Hi all, Happy New Year to all. I'm a newbie in VB.NET and ASP.NET. This is my problem: I retrieve a list of records from DB and, for every row, I need to show 4 checkboxes. I can use a checkboxlist for every rows, but it's not so clear how I can process the results after the submit. I've some object and some operations available for that object. From database I extract a list of object with all operations. For every operation I want to show a check box to enable or disable the operation.     I'm revising this question after reading the resources mentioned in the original answers and working through implementing it. I'm using the google maps api to integrate a map into my Rails site. I have a markets model with the following columns: ID, name, address, lat, lng. On my markets/index view, I want to populate a map with all the markets in my markets table. I'm trying to output @markets as json data, and that's where I'm running into problems. I have the basic map displaying, but right now it's just a blank map. I'm following the tutorials very closely, but I can't get the markers to generate dynamically from the json. Any help is much appreciated! I know I can just copy the parsed TEXT into a translator but this will remove the formatting. I also know that at the end I have to go trough the text manually to fix some minor spelling and grammar.

    Hi, I'm having a problem displaying events in the correct order in wordpress. I think the problem is because wordpress is treating the date as a string and ordering it by the day because it's in british date format. The goal is to display a list of future events with the most current event at the top of the list. But I must use the british date format of dd/mm/yyyy. Do I need to go back to the drawing board or is there a way of converting the date to achieve the result I need?   • exclude private property from print_r or object?

    Basically I am using Code Igniter, and the Code Igniter base class is huge, when I print_r some of my objects they have the base class embedded inside them. this makes it a pain to get the information I actually wanted (the rest of the properties). So, I am wondering if there is a way I can hide, or remove the base class object?   • php parse error always on the last line

    I'm trying to read a comment that is stored in a mysql table. For some reason I always get a parse error on the last line of the file even if the last line is blank. I'm not sure if it's relevant but the connect.php works for putting the comment into the database. I'm using wampserver to host it and coding it by hand. I think that's it's something to do with the while loop, when I comment out the while(){ and the } near the end I just get a few missing variable errors as you would expect. I'm quite new to php coding so I'm pretty sure the problem will be something simple that I've either missed or not understood properly.     I want to do the login page this way so that I won't be having trouble posting the username in the userpage. But everytime I try to access login.php. I get an error in firefox, that the page is not redirecting properly. What do I do? This works when I separate them into two. Into something like, login.php and verifylogin.php as the form action.
