• T-SQL out of order insert

  Basically I have a User-Defined Table Type (for use as a table-valued variable) which I'm referencing in a stored procedure that effectively just calls two other stored procedures, then inserts those values into the table type. Id est INSERT INTO @tableValuedVariable (var1, var2, var3, var4, var5) EXEC [dbo].StoredProcedure1; INSERT INTO @tableValuedVariable (var1, var2, var5) EXEC [dbo].StoredProcedure2; You can probably already tell what I'm going to ask. Basically StoredProcedure2 only returns a few of the values the table is set to hold, and I'd like those other variables to just be null (as defined as default). Only SQL is complaining that I'm not specifying all the variables available to that table. The return datasets can be quite sizable so I'd like to avoid loops and such for obvious reasons. Thanks for any help.

  I have one table with two queries and I need to sort it with descending type using ORDER BY.   I've been playing around with "bottom-up" JAX-WS and have come across something odd when running wsgen. If I have a service class that does something like: @WebService public class Foo { public ArrayList<Bar> getBarList(String baz) { ... } } then running wsgen gets me a FooService_schema1.xsd that has something like this: <xs:complexType name="getBarListResponse"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="return" type="tns:bar" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> which seems reasonable. However, if I want a collection of collections like: public BarCollection getBarCollection(String baz) { ... } // BarCollection is just a container for an ArrayList<Bar> then the generated schema ends up with stuff like: <xs:complexType name="barCollection"> <xs:sequence/> </xs:complexType> <xs:complexType name="getBookCollectionsResponse"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element name="return" type="tns:barCollection" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType> An empty sequence is not what I had in mind at all.   I have a remote service that I need to access, according to the documentation it's restricted using basic authentication and all requests have to be posted (HTTP POST). Bu when I add my user/pass as it's describe here: http://dk.php.net/manual/en/http.request.options.php like this: $res = http_post_data('https://example.com', $data, array( 'Content-Type: "text/xml"', 'httpauth' => base64_encode('user:pass'), 'httpauthtype' => HTTP_AUTH_BASIC ) ); the protocol is https - I get a runtime error in return (it's a .Net service). I have tried it without the base64_encode but with the same result.

  Hi All, Been scratching my head for too long on this: Using jquery.form, (http://malsup.com/jquery/form) with PHP ... my $_FILES['someimage'] gets set but the error number is always UPLOAD_ERR_NO_FILE, size is also 0. • Is it possible to have a Ocaml function that accepts only integer lists?

  I'm writing a recursive function in Ocaml that's supposed to count the number of items in an integer list (Yes I know there's a List.length function but I'm trying to do it myself). However the Ocaml compiler/interpreter forces me to use alpha list all the time. So is it wrong to say that, when a function accepts a list as a parameter, the type of that list must always be alpha? Thanks EDIT: the reason why it's inconvenient for me to use alpha lists is because i can't compare the head of the alpha list with an integer value due to type-matching complaints

  I just moved from an Ubuntu PHP workstation dev environment back to Windows and am using xampp. I have a bit of code, like so: <input type="text" name="txtEmail" value="<?=$emailaddress;?>"/> that I swear worked to display the variable in the textbox when I was developing before. But when I loaded the page on Windows/xampp it just put that text between the quotes in the textbox. Instead, I ended up changing it to something like: <input type="text" name="txtFirstName" value="<?php echo($firstname);?>" /> The latter makes sense, but I guess I thought there was a shorthand or something, and I must be going crazy because I'm sure the first way was working on a difference environment. So what's the best way to do this?

• Avoid implicit conversion from date to timestamp for selects with Oracle using Hibernate

  I'm using Hibernate 3.2.7.GA criteria queries to select rows from an Oracle Enterprise Edition 10.2.0.4.0 database, filtering by a timestamp field. The field in question is of type java.util.Date in Java, and DATE in Oracle. It turns out that the field gets mapped to java.sql.Timestamp, and Oracle converts all rows to TIMESTAMP before comparing to the passed in value, bypassing the index and thereby ruining performance. One solution would be to use Hibernate's sqlRestriction() along with Oracle's TO_DATE function. That would fix performance, but requires rewriting the application code (lots of queries). So is there a more elegant solution? Since Hibernate already does type mapping, could it be configured to do the right thing? Update: The problem occurs in a variety of configurations, but here's one specific example: Oracle Enterprise Edition 10.2.0.4.0 Oracle JDBC Driver 11.1.0.7.0 Hibernate 3.2.7.GA Hibernate's Oracle10gDialect Java 1.6.0_16

  i have used IMAPI2 for buring CD/DVD in windows XP..but it is giving me unhandeled exception...it is written as:- System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast COM object of type 'IMAPI2.Interop.MsftFileSystemImageClass' to interface type 'IMAPI2.Interop.MsftFileSystemImage'. • vs2008 mystery: Quick macro record and playback shortcuts not allowed?

  in vs2008, Tools, Macros, Record TemporaryMacro keyboard shortcut toggle is Ctrl+Shift+R; Run TemporaryMacro keyboard shorcut is Ctrl+Shift+P for playback. I've used them before, but they've stopped working. If I open Tools, Options, Keyboard, then navigate to a command like Tools.Run that has no assigned keyboard shortcut, I can experiment by pretending to assign a keyboard shorcut: I simply click inside the "Press shortcut keys:" textbox and try different keystroke combinations. Examples: Ctrl+p: currently assigned to File.Print Ctrl+r: currently assigned to various uses Ctrl+Shift+Q: available Ctrl+Shift+B: currently assigned to Build.BuildSolution BUT vs2008 will not even allow me to type either of Ctrl+Shift+P or Ctrl+Shift+R in the "Press shortcut keys:" textbox. When I type those combinations, nothing appears in the "Press shortcut keys:" textbox. Please note: I can record and playback a temporary macro by using the menu commands, however, the mouse is like a turtle when compared to the keyboard.
