• HTTP 500 ERROR on CAS Server while setting SSLVerifyClent as "required"

  I have 3 servers, a Apache Server, a JBOSS Server and a CAS Server for SSO. The Apache Server resolve all request with a domain such as www.request.com, and the path of CAS Server is www.request.com/cas, and JBOSS Server is www.request.com/jboss (This app got a CAS client). My problem is if I set SSLVerifyClient require for the NameVirtualHost of www.request.com in my Apache Server, I got a HTTP 500 error during the redirecting to the JBOSS Server(http://www.request.com/jboss), after logined in the CAS login page successfully. But everything goes successfully if there is no SSLVerifyClient require . Error logs of my Apache Server : [Mon Apr 19 17:07:25 2010] [error] Re-negotiation handshake failed: Not accepted by client!?   Hi, I'm trying to uncompress a GZIPed HTTP Response by using GZIPInputStream. However I always have the same exception when I try to read the stream : java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid bit length repeat My HTTP Request Header: GET www.myurl.com HTTP/1.0\r\n User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; fr; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6\r\n Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8\r\n Accept-Language: fr,fr-fr;q=0.8,en-us;q=0.5,en;q=0.3\r\n Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate\r\n Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,UTF-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7\r\n Keep-Alive: 115\r\n Connection: keep-alive\r\n X-Requested-With: XMLHttpRequest\r\n Cookie: Some Cookies\r\n\r\n At the end of the HTTP Response header, I get path=/Content-Encoding: gzip, followed by the gziped response. • Error Handling in T-SQL Scalar Function

  Ok.. this question could easily take multiple paths, so I will hit the more specific path first. While working with SQL Server 2005, I'm trying to create a scalar funtion that acts as a 'TryCast' from varchar to int. Where I encounter a problem is when I add a TRY block in the function; CREATE FUNCTION u_TryCastInt ( @Value as VARCHAR(MAX) ) RETURNS Int AS BEGIN DECLARE @Output AS Int BEGIN TRY SET @Output = CONVERT(Int, @Value) END TRY BEGIN CATCH SET @Output = 0 END CATCH RETURN @Output END Turns out theres all sorts of things wrong with this statement including "Invalid use of side-effecting or time-dependent operator in 'BEGIN TRY' within a function" and "Invalid use of side-effecting or time-dependent operator in 'END TRY' within a function". I can't seem to find any examples of using try statements within a scalar function, which got me thinking, is error handling in a function is possible? The goal here is to make a robust version of the Convert or Cast functions to allow a SELECT statement carry through depsite conversion errors. For example, take the following; CREATE TABLE tblTest ( f1 VARCHAR(50) ) GO INSERT INTO tblTest(f1) VALUES('1') INSERT INTO tblTest(f1) VALUES('2') INSERT INTO tblTest(f1) VALUES('3') INSERT INTO tblTest(f1) VALUES('f') INSERT INTO tblTest(f1) VALUES('5') INSERT INTO tblTest(f1) VALUES('1.1') SELECT CONVERT(int,f1) AS f1_num FROM tblTest DROP TABLE tblTest It never reaches point of dropping the table because the execution gets hung on trying to convert 'f' to an integer. I want to be able to do something like this; SELECT u_TryCastInt(f1) AS f1_num FROM tblTest fi_num __________ 1 2 3 0 5 0 Any thoughts on this? Is there anything that exists that handles this? Also, I would like to try and expand the conversation to support SQL Server 2000 since Try blocks are not an option in that scenario. Thanks in advance.

• Dynamically specify and change a Silverlight DataGrid's columns during runtime (MVVM)

  What's the best method of dynamically specifying DataGrid columns in the Silverlight DataGrid control at runtime following the MVVM pattern? What I'd like to do would be bind the "DataGrid.Columns" property to a property in my ViewModel so that, if the user adds/removes columns, I simply update the ViewModel property and the DataGrid would change. Problem is, the "DataGrid.Columns" property can't be bound to (I don't think). Because this property isn't available nor is the DataGrid control itself available at the ViewModel level, my current approach is to step outside of the MVVM pattern for this particular implementation and capture certain events in View's code-behind using MVVM Light's Messenger class and then talk directly with the DataGrid control to achieve this capability. I know this is a general statement to this approach without details but is there an easier way... or maybe not so much easier, but a better way that adheres to the MVVM pattern a little better? It's driving me crazy that the DataGrid control's Columns property can't be bound... seems like such a simple thing. FYI - Before it's suggested to use AutoGenerateColumns = True, the class being bound for each item in the collection that's bound to DataGrid.ItemsSource does not have individual properties to identify what is bound to the columns... it's a collection property that contains the columns in order to keep them completely dynamic so that particular path is out. Also, handling the AutoGeneratingColumns and using e.Cancel to show/hide columns is also iffy for this same reason (I think).

• iPhone app linker error on Snow Leopard (Only on simulator)

• Grep failing with Emacs (windows), and GnuWin32 Grep

  Hi, I've downloaded and installed the GnuWin32 tools, and added the grep executables to the Emacs bin. I've also, for what its worth, added the GnuWin32 bin folder to my Path variable. Problem is though, when I try and run with suggested grep commands, I always get: Grep exited abnormally with code 53 at Wed Feb 24 17:16:12 For the life of me, I can't find any reference to error code 53 anywhere! :( I've tried the exact examples on a number of websites for example, when I enter: M-x grep <ret> It comes up with Run grep (like this): grep -n Which is fine, but I have no idea of what parameters it expects. I've tried some in some tuorials, but I get error code 53 again! One of the things I've tried is straight from the emacs wiki (http://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/GrepMode#toc2) (maybe not for the windows version though?) and it says to try this command: M-x grep -n -e setq ~/.emacs Which I've tried and I get: -*- mode: grep; default-directory: "c:/[My Directory]/" -*- Grep started at Wed Feb 24 17:30:47 grep -n -e setq ~/.emacs NUL Grep exited abnormally with code 53 at Wed Feb 24 17:30:47 So frustrating as this is meant to be a powerful feature of Emacs and I'm really trying to learn it as I've heard good things about it! Any help would be appreciated! :) Andy UPDATE From the suggestion below, I've tried it via command line and it seems to work fine, perhaps there some config I'm UPDATE I've found the command M-x Occur which seems to do much the same as I would image grep does. Are there many extra benefits to using grep over occur if I can't get this working?

• WPF RelativeSource FindAncestor doesn't work outside of the Control.Resources context?

  I have this VisualBrush resource I took from some site and I apply it with triggers to a TextBox. <VisualBrush x:Key="HelpBrush" TileMode="None" Opacity="0.4" Stretch="None" AlignmentX="Left"> <VisualBrush.Visual> <TextBlock FontStyle="Italic" Text="{Binding Path=Tag, RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType={x:Type Control}, AncestorLevel=1}}"/> </VisualBrush.Visual> </VisualBrush> <Style x:Key="DefaultText" TargetType="TextBox"> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="Text" Value="{x:Null}"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="{StaticResource HelpBrush}"/> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="Text" Value=""> <Setter Property="Background" Value="{StaticResource HelpBrush}"/> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> If I place both the VisualBrush and the Style inside the TextBox.Resources tag in XAML, it works fine. But if I take it out and place it in the Window.Resources or a merged dictionary, it stops working. The problem is the Binding, it doesn't find the ancestor TextBox for some reason. I already tried removing AncestorLevel and using AncestorType={x:Type TextBox} - it doesn't work. Any ideas?

• Problem loading Oracle client libraries when running in a NAnt build

  I am trying to use dbdeploy to manage Oracle schema changes. I can run it successfully from the command line to get it to generate my change scripts, but when I try to execute it via the dbdeploy NAnt task running through TeamCity, I get an error: System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater. I do have the Oracle 10.2.0.2 client software installed. It's the first entry in the system path, and the dbdeploy.exe app is able to successfully negotiate an Oracle connection. The dbdeploy code dynamically loads the System.Data.OracleClient assembly, which in-turn tries to use the Oracle client bits to talk to the database. This is what is failing in my NAnt environment. I'e built the tool chain (which took a LOT longer than I was expecting!!) and I've compiled the C++ code with no problems and now I'm trying to build the java code.   I am trying to invoke UIImagePickerController to select a movie on iPhone 3GS and when the movie is selected, i just dismiss it and present MyViewController modally with a configured delay of 1.0 seconds. What I notice is 10% of the times, presentModalViewController on MyViewController does nothing whereas it works 90% of the times. I want to understand why is this behavior and what is the remedy. • WSDLs generated by Axis2 services can't be read by SoapUI or WSDL2Java

  I'm converting some services from Apache SOAP to Axis2, so the Java service classes already exist. I created a new project in Eclipse, imported the source, made sure that the Axis2 project facets were installed, and Axis2 emitter properties are correct. Then, in Eclipse, I selected the service class and chose "Create Web Service," choosing the Axis2 runtime. The service is up and running on my PC, and when I append "?wsdl" to the service's path, I do indeed get a WSDL that I save locally. Attempting to import this into SoapUI to build a client gives the error: ERROR:org.apache.xmlbeans.XmlException: C:\projects\soapUI\Axis2\DALService.wsdl:0: error: src-resolve: type 'SOAPException@http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' not found. The type it's referring to (SOAPException) is a holdover from the Apache SOAP services, and in the service code, I changed all "import" references in the service code (not the WSDL) from org.apache.soap.SOAPException (the old Apache SOAP package name) to javax.xml.soap.SOAPException (the Axis2 location). The code compiles and works, once I can access it, but I can't access it without generating a client. Any thoughts as to why changing the namespace of an object would keep the generated WSDLs from having the proper namespace references?

• SmartGWT TreeGrid Selection

  I have a SmartGWT webapp that uses a TreeGrid with a dataSource. I would like this treeGrid to preselect values saved in a cookie. I have gotten the value to be saved in the cookie correctly, however I have tried several different methods of getting the treeGrid to select these values and I can not get it to work. I am attempting to do this in the onmoduleLoad method in my entry point. I have tried: Cookies.setCookie( "selectedUnit", TreeGrid.getSelectedPaths() ) to set the cookie and then when the page is reloaded: TreeGrid.setSelectedPaths( Cookies.getCookie("selectedUnit" ) When I could not get that to work, I tried storing just the id of the item selected: Cookies.setCookies( "selectedUnit", TreeGrid.getSelected().getAttribute("id") ) and then onLoad attempting to find that record and select it: TreeGrid.selectRecord( TreeGrid.getTree().find("id", Cookies.getCookie("selectedUnit") ) ) This did not work either, so finally I tried storing TreeGrid.getSelectedState() and upon retrieving that value form the cookie onLoad, passing it to TreeGrid.setSelectedState() similar to my first attempt, but passing state instead of path. I could not get any of these things to work. Can I not tell the TreeGrid to select an item in the 'OnmoduleLoad' method? Is this action only valid after the TreeGrid has been drawn? If that is the case where and how can I do this? Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

  Although the HTTP spec says that headers are case insensitive; Paypal, with their new adaptive payments API require their headers to be case-sensitive. Using the paypal adaptive payments extension for ActiveMerchant (http://github.com/lamp/paypal_adaptive_gateway) it seems that although the headers are set in all caps, they are sent in mixed case.   In my controller I added an ArrayList to my model with the attribute name "users". So apparantely this isn't the way to go, but in that case how do I bind an arraylist so I can edit the values?

• Play mp3 using Python, PyQt, and Phonon

  I been trying all day to figure out the Qt's Phonon library with Python. My long term goal is to see if I could get it to play a mms:// stream, but since I can't find an implementation of this done anywhere, I will figure that part out myself. (figured I'd put it out there if anyone knew more about this specifically, if not no big deal.) Anyway, I figured I'd work backwards from a working example I found online. This launches a file browser and will play the mp3 file specified. I wanted to strip out the file browser stuff and get it down to the essentials of executing the script and having it play an Mp3 file with a hardcoded path. I'm assuming my problem is a misunderstanding of setCurrentSource() and specifying the data types. • Problems with MediaRecorder class setting audio source - setAudioSource() - unsupported parameter

  Hello everybody, I'm new in Android development and I have the next question/problem. I'm playing around with the MediaRecorder class to record just audio from the microphone. I'm following the steps indicated in the official site: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/MediaRecorder.html So I have a method that initializes and configure the MediaRecorder object in order to start recording. Here you have the code: this.mr = new MediaRecorder(); this.mr.setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.MIC); this.mr.setOutputFormat(MediaRecorder.OutputFormat.THREE_GPP); this.mr.setAudioEncoder(MediaRecorder.AudioEncoder.AMR_NB); this.mr.setOutputFile(this.path + this.fileName); try { this.mr.prepare(); } catch (IllegalStateException e) { Log.d("Syso", e.toString()); e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { Log.d("Syso", e.toString()); e.printStackTrace(); } When I execute this code in the simulator, thanks to logcat, I can see that the method setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.MIC) gives the next error (with the tag audio_ipunt) when it is called: ERROR/audio_input(34): unsupported parameter: x-pvmf/media-input-node/cap-config-interface;valtype=key_specific_value ERROR/audio_input(34): VerifyAndSetParameter failed And then when the method prepare() is called, I get the another error again: ERROR/PVOMXEncNode(34): PVMFOMXEncNode-Audio_AMRNB::DoPrepare(): Got Component OMX.PV.amrencnb handle If I start to record bycalling the method start()... I get lots of messages saying: AudioFlinger(34):RecordThread: buffer overflow Then...after stop and release,.... I can see that a file has been created, but it doesn't seem that it been well recorderd. Anway, if i try this in a real device I can record with no problems, but I CAN'T play what I just recorded. I gues that the key is in these errors that I've mentioned before. How can I fix them? Any suggestion or help?? Thanks in advanced!!

• Need help replicating directory structure with ColdFusion and jsTree

  I am using this new jQuery plugin called jsTree www.jstree.com and using the HTML datasource. I am also using ColdFusion 7 with cfdirectory and filtering out files, so just dirs. I need to recreate the directory structure in the image, well any dir structure I give it actually. I am having a heck of a time with the logic. variables.imageDirectoriesLen = 8 in this scenario cause I am outputting from the middle of the actual file path, not from begining. Thanks for the help.
