    Does anyone know of a good WYSIWYG editor for Windows forms. If I use a rich textbox, I need to handle pasting events, bold buttons, fonts etc, which is a nightmare. I’m currently using the HTML control, suggested by many sites, but I have a large form, with many tabs. Since I have to load up to 8 HTML controls, loading the form takes too long. Any help?

Currently, we are rolling our own user, groups, permissions, etc. code and supporting database. I'd like to find something like ASP.NET membership that can help manage user authentication and authorization, rather than risk security issues in continuing to create an increasingly complicated custom solution. Are there any similar projects out there worth taking a look at?

    hi I am having a document library in share point 2007, I want to validate certain custom properties before a document is uploaded Or Properties are entered when Edit properties event is cliked. I am trying to validate the fields at ItemAdding event whne a documetn is uploaded , however when EditForm.aspx opens up for editing properties, no events firs.     I have an Windows.Documents.InlineUIContainerin a RichTextBox, and sometimes it's font size of alignment change when I hit key combination such as Ctrl+Space. I couldn't find any place to handle these events and block them somehow. I don't want to block it in the RichTextBox. I am more looking for a way to block it only on the InlineUIContainer.

  • Custom MembershipProvider attempts to pass empty creds after IIS restart

    I have a C# custom ASP.Net MembershipProvider. When the user attempts to navigate to another part of the site after IIS is restarted, it doesn't navigate to the login page to collect credentials, but instead attempts to authenticate with empty credentials. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to identify that the new authentication needs to take place and that new creds need to be gathered? I have a complementary custom IHttpModule implementation that allows me to intercept events like BeginRequest and AuthenticateRequest, if that helps.

    Are there any Source Code Management (SCM) tools made specifically for solo programmers or small groups of programmers that tracks every small change made to source code in real time? This would require all key strokes to be tracked, and any other small changes like GUI UI editing. This seems like it would be a very useful tool for a programmer trying to remember a fix he did an hour ago that they didn't manually commit.

  • Consuming Web Services requiring Authentication from behind Proxy server

    Hi All, I've seen a number of post about Proxy Authentication, but none that seams to address this problem. I'm building a SharePoint Web Service consuming desktop application, using Java, JAX-WS in NetBeans. I have a working prototype, that can query the server for authentication mode, successfully authenticate and retrieve a list of web site. However, if I run the same app from a network that is behind a proxy server (the proxy does not require authentication), then I'm running into trouble. The normal -dhttp.proxyHost ... settings does not seam to help any. But I have found that by creating a ProxySelector class and setting it as default, I can regain access to the authentication web service, but I still can't retrieve the list of web sites from the SharePoint server. It's almost as if the authentication I provide is going to the proxy rather than the SharePoint server. Anyone have any experience on how to make this work? I have put the source text java class files of a demo app up, showing the issue at the following urls (it's a bit to long even in the short demo form to post here). link text When running the code from a network behind a proxy server, I successfully retrieve the Authentication mode from the server, but the request for the Web Site list generates an exception originating at: com.sun.xml.internal.ws.transport.http.client .HttpClientTransport.readResponseCodeAndMessage(HttpClientTransport.java:201) The output from the source when no proxy is on the network is listed below: Successfully retrieved the SharePoint WebService response for Authentication SharePoint authentication method is: WINDOWS Calling Web Service to retrieve list of web site.     I have a (COM Interop based) ActiveX contol that I am trying to use with registration free com. When the control loads the control is inactive (does not responds to events, control not fully rendered etc). After much search I discovered that COM objects using reg-free-com use the miscStatus attribute to set the initial state to get correctly activated. I know how to use it with a comClass which corresponds to a native COM Object. 1) What is the equivalent of the following for clrClass element which corresponds to a COM-interop object? <comClass clsid="{qqqqqqqq-wwww-eeee-rrrr-00C0F0283628}" tlbid="{xxxxxxxx-yyyy-zzzz-aaaa-0000F8754DA1}" threadingModel="Both" progid="SomeCompany.SomeOleControl" description="Some ActiveX Control" miscStatus="recomposeonresize,insideout,activatewhenvisible,nouiactivate" > 2) The COM client I am using is Visual FoxPro.   • Adobe Color Profiles/Color Spaces, how is it possible that this works?

    I'm learning about Color Profiles/Color Spaces/Monitor Color Management Profiles and I was just wondering how any of that justified considering the fact that I could throw the entire color anything off by adjusting the brightness and contrast of my monitor? Additionally there are things like lighting in the place where your monitor resides. I don't understand what makes it possible to know that the colors that you are looking at on your monitor are accurate. I really don't have any idea where to start (considering I obviously can't even get the terminology right in the first place...:-p)

I need to be able to create virtual HID devices of all types, and have an app running in the background feed them events. Is there a way to do this in user-space, or must I venture into kernel land?
