  • Install PHP 5.1.2, Requires: libcurl.so.3()(64bit) error

    I'm trying to install php 5.1.2 on a CentOS 6 server (for grandfathering in old websites). I downloaded an RPM file ( php-5.1.2-5.x86_64.rpm ), but when I use: yum install php-5.1.2-5.x86_64.rpm I get the following error: Error: Package: php-5.1.2-5.x86_64 (/php-5.1.2-5.x86_64) Requires: libcurl.so.3()(64bit) I have tried several things including the following: ln -s /usr/lib64/libcurl.so.4 /usr/lib64/libcurl.so.3 (To make it symlink to the newer version) Downloaded curl-7.15.5-2.1.el5_3.5.x86_64.rpm and took the libcurl.so.3 out of the rpm and placed it in /usr/lib64/libcurl.so.3 with the same permissions as libcurl.so.4. Nothing has worked. Any ideas?

  • Brand new Seagate HDD has high raw read error rate

    I've just purchased a brand new Seagate ST31000524AS 1TB HDD. Manufacture date shows as January 2012 (yes that's as new as new can get), so must be one of the new batches from the post-flood Thailand. Anyway, I downloaded a copy of Active Hard Disk Monitor tool to check the S.M.A.R.T. parameters and I find the parameter Raw Read Error Rate is very low. Should I be worried? Will this rectify over time? This hdd is just 7 hours old; what gives? Edit: I meant high raw read error rate - Title updated accordingly

    When a user sends a filled form, I want to print an error message in case there is an input error. One of the GAE sample codes does this by embedding the error message in the URI. Inside the form handler (get): self.redirect('/compose?error_message=%s' % message) and in the handler (get) of redirected URI, gets the message from request: values = { 'error_message': self.request.get('error_message'), ... Is there a way to accomplish the same without embedding the message in the URI?

  • certificate error while subdomain forwarding

    I have a website, call it http://sub.example.com, hosted on, say, 72.xx.xx.x. There is a certificate for https://sub.example.com. Now I go into the DNS management tool in my hosting provider, and I set up the standard subdomain forwarding wherein https://sub.example.com forwards to 72.xx.xx.x. Now when I try to browse to https://sub.example.com, I get a certificate error saying it is for the wrong website. I have also tried forwarding http://sub.example.com to 72.xx.xx.x, and tried it with domain masking in both cases. I am still getting the certificate error no matter what. Additional wrinkle: if someone types in https://sub.example.com then the domain forwarding does not seem to work and IE just spins endlesssly and finally fails. How can I domain forward the https://sub.example.com to 72.xx.xx.x?

The user id is use by an application to access the database. However, this account does not exits on this server.     I was cleaning up my laptop hard-disk, running Windows 7, and as part of the process I ran the Disk Cleanup utility. To my surprise I saw 2 items in the list that were quite large (both ~300MB). Per user queued Windows Error Reporting System queued Windows Error Reporting I guess I had never noticed these, because they were never that big. So, what are these items? Any particular reason why they became so large all of a sudden? And finally, is it safe to remove them?

  • Out Of Memory Error - Magento

    Ok normally I understand when my server is giving me out of memory errors, but this one has me stumped! I'm running a magento based site, with one or two plugins in it and the rest is pretty basic. The site runs and loads fine wiht no issues. However in the backend - Configuration - Payment Methods it gives me the following out of memory error Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 39059456) (tried to allocate 85 bytes) in ########/Varien/Simplexml/Element.php on line 84 Now this is where I'm confused..it's allocated more than it tried to allocate? Am I correct there? So how is it running out of memory? My server has 6Gb ram, an SSD and 2 CPU's running WHM with a few other low traffic sites on it. I set my php memory limit to 100mb, 1000mb and finally unlimited but all to no avail! I'm completely lost here, would really appreciate some expertise on this Cheers

    I tried to install an OpenVPN access server in Centos 6 on a linode VPS. The installation is okay for my ubuntu 11.10 distro in another VPS. The installation error occours when adding the user "openvpn" in Centos. The error message is "useradd: canot open /etc/passwd" The detail of My "/etc/passwd" file: "-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1194 Oct 9 00:33 /etc/passwd" I am not quite familiar with Centos, so how can I add the user "openvpn" in order to setup the VPN service?     I am getting an error while trying to resize System Partition for Windows 2003 Server (this is a VM on a Hyper-v Windows Server 2008) using GParted Live CD ISO. Followed this tutorial: http://malaysiavm.com/blog/how-to-resize-windows-2003-server-virtual-disk-on-vmware-esx/ and GParted Doc http://gparted.sourceforge.net/larry/resize/resizing.htm (They are very similar) The VM has a Dynamic VHD file, I have already increased it using Hyper-v.     The other day I used apt-get install python-pyexiv2 on my ubuntu server, but it seems to have given me an old version. It's not compatible with the code I wrote in my local development environment so I'd like to update it. I downloaded the latest tar.gz from the website, extracted it and ran scons as per the readme. But it will not build, I get the error src/exiv2wrapper.hpp:32:29: error: exiv2/preview.hpp: No such file or directory I've also user apt-get to install libboost-python-dev and libexiv2-dev Can anyone help me on this?

  • manage.py runserver not working

    I am new to django and python in general, so pardon me for any simple mistakes I may be doing. I am trying to setup my first django project on my local windows vista machine. I have created the project successfully with no problems. The issue I am coming across is when my settings.py has values for my database keys, the manage.py runserver command is failing. If I have values in settings before I run the command, as soon as I run it I get errors. If I have already run the command and the server is running, as soon as I edit the settings file with values, the errors show up in my still open command prompt. The inner most exception seems to "Error loading MySQLdb module: No module named MYSQLdb". If I leave the settings.py blank, the command executes with no problems. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

    I cannot figure out how to get rid of errors that basically should not be halting my compile in VS 2010 and should not be show stoppers, or at least I will fix them later but I don't want the compile to just error and halt on these kinds of problems.   • ext4: error loading journal

    I have an external hard drive with two partitions: A small FAT32 which is mostly empty and works fine and a large ext4 with tons of data, most of which isn't backed up. The ext4 is visible, but can't be mounted. I get an "error loading journal" error. The drive is a Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB. Roughly 30GB of that is FAT32 and the rest is the ext4. The light on the enclosure turns red when reading from the bad partition. It was made by Cavalry. There wasn't any warning, but coincidentally, I've been thinking lately that I should get two large capacity drives for real backups. Is there anything that can be done? I'm not even sure I have enough storage to backup everything even if it is redeemable.
