• GPO errors filling up event viewer

  there have been a few issues with the server i have been working on i check the event viewer and it is filled with the errors below i was not sure how to go about fixing this i looked in the path where the file is and it is there Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO CN={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=ISPHOME,DC=NET. • Sharepoint web services -- The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'

  I know there's a lot of questions on SO similar to this, but I couldn't find one for this particular issue. A couple of points, first: I have no control over our Sharepoint server. I cannot tweak any IIS settings. I believe our IIS server version is IIS 7.0. Our Sharepoint Server is anticipating requests via NTLM. Our Sharepoint Server is on the same domain as my client computer. I am using .NET Framework 3.5, Visual Studio 2008 I am trying to write a simple console app to manipulate Sharepoint data using Sharepoint Web Services. The authentication header received from the server was 'NTLM'. With an inner WebException: "The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized." I've tried various bindings and various code tweaks to try to authenticate properly, but to no avail. I'll list those below. I've tried the following steps: Using a native Win32 Impersonator before creating the client using (new Impersonator.Impersonator("username", "password", "domain")) using (var client = new ListsSoapClient()) { client.ClientCredentials.Windows.ClientCredential = new NetworkCredential("dpincas", "password", "domain"); client.GetListCollection(); } This produced the same error message. Setting TokenImpersonationLevel for my client credentials using (var client = new ListsSoapClient()) { client.ClientCredentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel = TokenImpersonationLevel.Impersonation; client.GetListCollection(); } This produced the same error message. Using security mode=TransportCredentialOnly <security mode="TransportCredentialOnly"> <transport clientCredentialType="Ntlm" /> </security> This resulted in a different error message: The provided URI scheme 'https' is invalid; expected 'http'. Parameter name: via However, I need to use https, so I cannot change my URI scheme. I've tried some other combinations that I can't remember, but I'll post them when I do. I'm really at wits end here. I see a lot of links on Google that say "switch to Kerberos", but my server seems to only be accepting NTLM, not "Negotiate" (as it would say if it was looking for Kerberos), so that is unfortunately not an option. • Overriding the save() method of a model that uses django-mptt

  I've been using django-mptt in my project for a while now, it's fabulous. Recently, I've found a need to override a model's save() method that uses mptt, and I'm getting an error when I try to save a new instance of that model: Exception Type: ValueError at /admin/scrivener/page/add/ Exception Value: Cannot use None as a query value I'm assuming that this is a result of the fact that the instance hasn't been stuck into a tree yet, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing this. I added a comment about it onto a similar issue on the project's tracker, but I was hoping that someone here might be able to put me on the right track faster. Here's the traceback. • Compiling JS-Test-Driver Plugin and Installing it on Eclipse 3.5.1 Galileo?

  I downloaded the source of the js-test-driver from: http://js-test-driver.googlecode.com/svn/tags/1.2 It compiles just fine, but one of the unit tests fails: [junit] Tests run: 1, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Time elapsed: 0.012 sec [junit] Test com.google.jstestdriver.eclipse.ui.views.FailureOnlyViewerFilterTest FAILED I am using: - ANT 1.7.1 - javac 1.6.0_12 And I'm trying to install the js-test-driver plugin on Eclipse 3.5.1 Galileo Despite the failed test I installed the plugin into my C:\eclipse\dropins\js-test-driver directory by copying (exporting from svn) the compiled feature and plugins directories there, to see if it would yield any hints to what the problem is. When I started eclipse, added the plugin to the panel using Window-Show View-Other... Other-JsTestDriver The plugin for the panel is added, but it displays the following error instead of the plugin in the panel: Could not create the view: Plugin com.google.jstestdriver.eclipse.ui was unable to load class com.google.jstestdriver.eclipse.ui.views.JsTestDriverView.   I hope someone can assist me. I have RubyMine 2.0.2 installed on Windows 7 32 bit computer. Since a week ago (I presume it must have been after I have update some gems) I cant seem to debug form the IDE. I am trying to debug a rake task which I could before. Running the rake task normally works perfect, just debug doesnt. Its not just limited to the rake, I cant debug any ruby files. I've tried installing older versions of debug-ide and debug-base but to no success. I've tried it with ruby 1.8.7 and 1.8.6 on different computers but nothing. Trying to search the web gave some information, which I've tried, but also no success. Im desperate to get this working.   I'm trying to set up a test environment with Maven to build VC++ and I am way behind on this. I have 3 source files that I builds a dll (once I get this fixed it should be a simple matter to add the unit-tests): hook.cpp hook.h hook.def This is compiled, on the command line, with the following: C:\Develop\hook\src\main\msvc>cl -o hook.dll Hook.cpp /D HOOK_DLLEXPORT /link /DLL /DEF:"Hook.def" Which produces the expected obj, dll, lib and exp files. So now to get this working in Maven2 with the Mojo-native plugin. • SMO ConnectionContext.StatementTimeout setting is ignored

  I am successfully using Powershell with SMO to backup most databases. However, I have several large databases in which I receive a "timeout" error "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired". The timout consistently occurs at 10 minutes. I have tried setting ConnectionContext.StatementTimeout to 0, 6000, and to [System.Int32]::MaxValue. The setting made no difference. I have found a number of Google references which indicate setting it to 0 makes it unlimited. No matter what I try, the timeouts consistently occur at 10 minutes. I even set Remote Query Timeout on the server to 0 (via Studio Manager) to no avail. Below is my SMO connection where I set the time out and the actual backup function. Further below is the output from my script. UPDATE Interestingly enough, I wrote the backup function in C# using VS 2008 and the timeout override does work within that environment. I am in the process of incorporating that C# process into my Powershell Script until I can find out why the timeout override does not work with just Powershell. • Installshield Development Error durring the Installation process

  Hey guys, I've been stuck by a problem for the past couple days that makes no sense to me. My installer builds fine in the Installshiled IDE but when it is about to finish the installation, int gets two errors then rollbacks: installation failure. Right when the install bar is at about 100%, an error box pops up that states this: "Error 1001.Exception occurred while initializing the installation: System.IO.FileLoadException: Attempt to load an unverifiable executable with fixups (IAT with more than 2 sections or a TLS section.) (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131019)." The box pops up once, then the installer flashes its status to "rollback" then pops up another error box, then once 'ok'ed it procedes to rollback as usual. The installers that I've tried(and failed) have always needed to be Setup.exes, when i try to build a .msi only setup I get this error message. It may help someone who knows more about this system than I do. Your project contains InstallShield prerequisites. A Setup.exe setup launcher is required if you are build a release that includes InstallShield prerequisites. Change your release settings to build Setup.exe, or remove the prerequisites from your project. -7076 There's nothing on the site that has anything from the error code, so I'm at a loss.   Hi all, we have a project written in Delphi that we want to convert to C#. Problem is that we have some passwords and settings that are encrypted and written into the registry. When we need a specified password we get it from the registry and decrypt it so we can use it. For the conversion into C# we have to do it the same way so that the application can also be used by users that have the old version and want to upgrade it. • Salesforce/PHP - Bulk Outbound message (SOAP), Time out issue - See update #2

  Salesforce can send up to 100 requests inside 1 SOAP message. While sending this type of Bulk Ooutbound message request my PHP script finishes executing but SF fails to accept the ACK used to clear the message queue on the Salesforce side of things. Looking at the Outbound message log (monitoring) I see all the messages in a pending state with the Delivery Failure Reason "java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out". If my script has finished execution, why do I get this error? I have tried these methods to increase the execution time on my server as I have no access on the Salesforce side: set_time_limit(0); // in the script max_execution_time = 360 ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds max_input_time = 360 ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data memory_limit = 32M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume I used the high settings just for testing. Any thoughts as to why this is failing the ACK delivery back to Salesforce? I can process about 25 requests (That are in 1 SOAP response) but once I go over that I get the timeout error in the Salesforce queue. for 50 requests is usually takes my PHP script 86.77 seconds. Could it be Apache? PHP? I have also tested just accepting the 100 request SOAP response and just accepting and sending the ACK the queue clears out, so I know it's on my side of things. I show no errors in the apache log, the script runs fine. I did find some info on the Salesforce site but still no luck. Here is the link. Also I'm using the PHP Toolkit 11 (From Salesforce). Other forum with good SF help Thanks for any insight into this, --Phill UPDATE: If I receive the incoming message and print the response, should this happen first regardless if I do anything else after? Or does it wait for my process to finish and then print the response? UPDATE #2: okay I think I have the problem: PHP uses the single thread processing approach and will not send back the ACK file until the thread has completed it's processing. Is there a way to make this a mutli thread process? Thread #1 - accept the incoming SOAP request and send back the ACK Thread #2 - Process the SOAP request I know I could break it up into like a DB table or flat file, but is there a way to accomplish this without doing that? I'm going to try to close the socket after the ACK submission and continue the processing, cross my fingers it will work.

• Django TemplateSyntaxError only on live server (templates exist)

  I'm getting a strange error that only occurs on the live server. My Django templates directory is set up like so base.html two-column-base.html portfolio index.html extranet base.html index.html The portfolio pages work correctly locally on multiple machines. They inherit from either the root base.html or two-column-base.html. However, now that I've posted them to the live box (local machines are Windows, live is Linux), I get a TemplateSyntaxError: "Caught TemplateDoesNotExist while rendering: base.html" when I try to load any portfolio pages. It seems to be a case where the extends tag won't work in that root directory (???). Even if I do a direct_to_template on two-column-base.html (which extends base.html), I get that error. The extranet pages all work perfectly, but those templates all live inside the /extranet folder and inherit from /extranet/base.html. Possible issues I've checked: file permissions on the server are fine the template directory is correct on the live box (I'm using os.path.dirname(os.path.realpath(__file__)) to make things work across machines) files exist and the /templates directories exactly match my local copy removing the {% extends %} block from the top of any broken template causes the templates to render without a problem manually starting a shell session and calling get_template on any of the files works, but trying to render it blows up with the same exception on any of the extended templates. Doing the same with base.html, it renders perfectly (base.html also renders via direct_to_template) Django 1.2, Python 2.6 on Webfaction. Apologies in advance because this is my 3rd or 4th "I'm doing something stupid" question in a row. The only x-factor I can think of is this is my first time using Mercurial instead ofsvn. Not sure how I could have messed things up via that. EDIT: One possible source of problems: local machine is Python 2.5, live is 2.6. Here's a traceback of me trying to render 'two-column-base.html', which extends 'base.html'.   When I build my model with the symfony doctrine:build --all --and-load command I have made no major changes to the model/schema, this is something new. • Ivy resolve not working with dynamic artifact

  I've been using Ivy a bit but I seem to still have a lot to learn. I have two projects. One is a web app and the other is a library upon which the web app depends. The set up is that the library project is compiled to a jar file and published using Ivy to a directory within the project. In the web app build file, I have an ant target that calls the Ivy resolve ant task. What I'd like to do is have the web app using the dynamic resolve mode during development (on developer's local machines) and default resolve mode for test and production builds. Previously I was appending a time stamp to the library archive file so that Ivy would notice changes in file when the web app tried to resolve its dependency on it. Within Eclipse this is cumbersome because, in the web app, the project had to be refreshed and the build path tweaked every time a new library jar was published. Publishing a similarly named jar file every time would, I figure, only require developers to refresh the project. The problem is that the web app is unable to retrieve the dynamic jar file.   I'v been trying to anti alias with OGL. I found a code chunk that is supposed to do this but I see no antialiasing. I also reset my settings in Nvidia Control Panel but no luck. Does this code in fact antialias the cube? • Maven webapp with maven-eclipse-plugin doesn't generate <dependent-module>

  I use the eclipse:eclipse goal to generate an Eclipse Project environment. The deployment works fine. The goal creates the var classpath entries for all needed dependencies. With m2eclipse there was the Maven Container which defines an export folder which was WEB-INF/lib for me. But i don't want to rely on m2eclipse so i don't use it anymore. the class path entries which are generated by eclipse:eclipse goal don't have such a export folder. While booting the servlet container with WTP it publishes all resources and classes except the libraries to the context. Whats missing to publish the needed libs, or isn't that possible without m2eclipse integration?   I'd been searching for a way to do cookie based authentication/sessions in Google App Engine because I don't like the idea of memcache based sessions, and I also don't like the idea of forcing users to create google accounts just to use a website. I stumbled across someone's posting that mentioned some signed cookie functions from the Tornado framework and it looks like what I need. What I have in mind is storing a user's id in a tamper proof cookie, and maybe using a decorator for the request handlers to test the authentication status of the user, and as a side benefit the user id will be available to the request handler for datastore work and such. The concept would be similar to forms authentication in ASP.NET. This code comes from the web.py module of the Tornado framework. According to the docstrings, it "Signs and timestamps a cookie so it cannot be forged" and "Returns the given signed cookie if it validates, or None." I've tried to use it in an App Engine Project, but I don't understand the nuances of trying to get these methods to work in the context of the request handler. Can someone show me the right way to do this without losing the functionality that the FriendFeed developers put into it? • MSBUILD ClickOnce Error: Deployment and application do not have matching security zones

  We're trying to publish a ClickOnce application through msbuild. We've got it working fine for an installed version of the windows application. However, when we set install to false so that it just runs the app from the web we get the following error when we try to run the application from the URL: "Deployment and application do not have matching security zones" This works fine in IE. We only get the error message in Chrome and FireFox. • I can't get SetSystemTime to work in Windows Vista using C# with Interop (P/Invoke).

  Hi, I'm having a hard time getting SetSystemTime working in my C# code. SetSystemtime is a kernel32.dll function. I'm using P/invoke (interop) to call it. SetSystemtime returns false and the error is "Invalid Parameter". I've posted the code below. I stress that GetSystemTime works just fine. I've tested this on Vista and Windows 7. Based on some newsgroup postings I've seen I have turned off UAC. No difference. I have done some searching for this problem. I found this link: http://groups.google.com.tw/group/microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.interop/browse_thread/thread/805fa8603b00c267 where the problem is reported but no resolution seems to be found. Notice that UAC is also mentioned but I'm not sure this is the problem. Also notice that this gentleman gets no actual Win32Error. Can someone try my code on XP? Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it. If the answer is to somehow change permission settings programatically, I'd need an example. I would have thought turning off UAC should cover that though. I'm not required to use this particular way (SetSystemTime). I'm just trying to introduce some "clock drift" to stress test something. If there's another way to do it, please tell me. Frankly, I'm surprised I need to use Interop to change the system time. I would have thought there is a .NET method.
