• Why can't I SELECT a parent field that doesn't have a child?

  (rest_branches) is the table of restaurants. (phone_numbers) is another table which contains the restaurants phone_numbers, and it has a field called (branch_id) which references the restaurant id. When I try: SELECT * FROM rest_branches NATURAL JOIN phone_numbers I only get the restaurants which have a phone_number. What should I do to get all restaurants even if they don't have a phone number?

  I am having an issue with referencing the sheet name through =Branded!$A$1 Notation in VBA. For a while I have passed in simple sheet names like: Dim SheetName As String SheetName = "Pizza" ("=" & SheetName & "!$A$1") This has worked fine, but recently I passed in "Tier 1" and of course this notation broke. Is there any fix or workaround for this? It Think it's because of the space, the number or both....

If I just do nextInt() n times, each time ensuring that the parameter is 100 minus the previously accumulated sum, then my percentages are biased (i.e. the first generated number will usually be largest etc.).   How can I scale a set of values to fit a new range if they include negative numbers? For example, I have a set of numbers (-10, -9, 1, 4, 10) which have to scaled to a range [0 1], such that -10 maps to 0, and 10 maps to 1. The regular method for an arbitrary number 'x' would be: (x - from_min) * (to_max - to_min) / (from_max - from_min) + to_min but this does not work for negative numbers. Any help is appreciated.   It used to be the number one reason for us to choose MSTest from others that we could access and test private methods. Now that Private accessors are deprecated in Visual Studio 2012. Does anyone know why Microsoft make such decision? Is it because it's not a good practice to test private methods?
