  • Problem with SQL connection on virtualised machines

    We have just virtualised our web servers but are experiencing problems when trying to connect with the existing DB server. The error message that is being returned from the virtual machines is as follows: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.) Any help would be much appreciated - Many thanks in advance.

    I added subdomain,create a new folder,than put some files in folder,when I try to access my new subdomain I get this message 500 - Internal server error. I have a zip of a prebuilt version but I have not been able to find documentation on what to do with it. I've been following the guide that google provides and have just setup the board, but now I am stuck, the directions for building/including chromium in the OS are far to vague.     I am working on a google box, something like this, http://mytwentyfive.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/byme/Google%20Search%20Appliances.jpg I am pointing the crawler to a folder where there are html files. before the crawler was crawling the files and indexing them but right now it finds the pattern or the folder but not following any html files within the folder. I have tried everything I could and know but, can't think of anything else. Can someone help? thanks

  • Permissions changed after Mail.app and associated data crash

    Hi there, I experienced a major Mail.app crash on Snow Leopard couple of days ago. It took me hours to be able to make the folder structure usable again by Mail. I changed permissions back to 755 for all subfolders starting from and including ~/Library/Mail Mail now works again but settings such as folder order in the left side bar and mail ordered by date in some folders don't persist anymore. Any idea? Thxs for help

I cannot save this variable in the registry of the local machine under HKCU, because the users are likely to exchange their machines. This variable must be accessible on the whole domain. Do you have any idea of implementing this ? Are there WMI features that may help me ?

  • High load on X3220 Quad Core Linux Apache server

    I'm seriously in need of help. My sites are now nearly impossible to use because of massive loads on my server. I'm already a month late on my mortgage and this really isn't helping my situation. I've been working on fixing this intermittent load problem for months (never this bad). I'm suspecting some kind of attack since I'm under DDOS attack a lot! I've been trying to figure out what is causing the load but I'm afraid I just don't have the experience or knowledge to understand all the data I've been looking at. I don't even know where to begin or how to test for the large array of attacks out there. Here's some data you might find useful... Server: Xeon X3220 Quad Core 2.4 GHz - Linux, FreeBSD 500 GB HD and 8 Gig of Ram. Runs Centos release 5.7 Server Version: Apache/2.2.21 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_qos/9.74 Warning: All sites are softcore adult sites - mostly fantasy art like elves and amazons. 1) Sites may run fine for weeks or just days at less than 10 load then start jumping to 40-80 load - no idea why. Same sites, same mods, same amount of traffic - just WHAM! 2) I get an email almost every day that says: "Large Number of Failed Login Attempts from IP (different each time)". My webhost (who almost never helps me) told me it was a udp flood or something. 3) I've changed the port for MySQL from the default. If I ever put it back to the default - I get Loads of over 100 from what must be a constant mysql port flood. 4) I've reconfigured MYSQL. I've spent a couple weeks turning all the mods/plugins off, waiting a day and then turning them back on the next day or later if there isn't any change (there hasn't been). For example, on Thursday I'll turn off videos, on Friday I'll turn off chat.. etc and nothing changes the load appreciably. 6) Joomla info: All SEF turned off - sh404sef completely disabled and removed. Components: Joomla 1.5.22, Jomsocial 2.0.5, Kunena 1/31/2011, HWDMediashare 11/22/2010 and JBolo Chat 2.7.3, Comet Chat or Envolve Chat. Page Compression is on, Cache is on 15 mins.     Hi all, I have a scenario in mercurial, and i cant finad anything that would tell me how to solve it. Basically, i have a mercurial repository with numerous branches for stable, development, experimental features etc.... However, ive found a bug in a set of core application files that are common to each branch. Is there a way to modify these files, and then push the changes to the common files to all the other branches, without sending any other changes? any help would be appreciated.

    What are the pros and cons of spinning up an internal certificate authority (primarily Windows 2003 CA)? We have the need to encypt server-server traffic on a project that has 20+ certificates. We could buy certs from Verisign, but I was thinking that an internal CA might be a better long term solution.   • If DEP has stopped an app, is there a possibility to see this events in a log?

    DEP (Microsofts Data Execution Prevention) stopps sometimes some apps and kills it out of memory. As an administrator, may i see such events in a log and if which one? My experience is that there is no user information as written in Help about DEP, user reported only that the desired app disappears from their screens. This happens on a Citrix-Server running on a windows-2003 R2 64-Bit Server.

  • Windows XP doesn't recognize iPhone as a camera

    My iPhone 3GS doesn´t show up in the Scanners and Cameras tool when I connect it via USB to Windows XP. Nor does the Camera Wizard pop up. How do I make Windows XP detect the device as a Camera? I currently have no way of downloading photos from the iPhone to my computer. iTunes does recognize the device, but it doesn't offer a way to synchronize photos. Thanks for your help.

    Helo all! A wierd shift-key problem, for which all I found was sticky keys answers First of all, I have all the sticky keys and related, Disabled. Every windows that is currently in focus, if I press the left shift-key alone, pops up the current window menu. I have no idea how and why this has happened, or how to disable it. I could not find any reference in google about it (perhaps my search-string was not good..) any help would be appriciated

  • DB2 runstats not working for xml columns

    Hello, I am running runstats command to update the runtime statistics of a particular table called "CUSTOMER" in DB2. The customer has two columns- CID (integer) and INFO (xml column). After running the command, if I look into the SYSCOLDIST table, the information for column CID is populated correctly. But there is nothing filled for the INFO xml column. The same happens with a different table that has xml columns. Please help.. Thanks, -Keshav
