Hi, I'm trying to parse an XHTML document using TBXML on the iPhone (although I would be happy to use either libxml2 or NSXMLParser if it would be easier). Javascript onclick() event bubbling - working or not?

I have a table in which the table row tag is decorated with an onclick() handler. If the row is clicked anywhere, it will load another page. In one of the elements on the row, is an anchor tag which also leads to another page. The desired behavior is that if they click on the link, "delete.html" is loaded. If they click anywhere else in the row, "edit.html" is loaded. The problem is that sometimes (according to users) both the link and the onclick() are fired at once, leading to a problem in the back end code. They swear they are not double-clicking. I don't know enough about Javascript event bubbling, handling and whatever to even know where to start with this bizarre problem, so I'm asking for help. How to paginate Django with other get variables?

I am having problems using pagination in Django. Take the URL below as an example: http://127.0.0.1:8000/users/?sort=first_name On this page I sort a list of users by their first_name. Without a sort GET variable it defaults to sort by id. Now if I click the next link I expect the following URL: http://127.0.0.1:8000/users/?sort=first_name&page=2 Instead I lose all get variables and end up with http://127.0.0.1:8000/users/?page=2 This is a problem because the second page is sorted by id instead of first_name. If I use request.get_full_path I will eventually end up with an ugly URL: http://127.0.0.1:8000/users/?sort=first_name&page=2&page=3&page=4 What is the solution? Is there a way to access the GET variables on the template and replace the value for the page? I am using pagination as described in Django's documentation and my preference is to keep using it. jQuery - Creating a dynamic content loader using $.get()

Hello everybody! (hello dr.Nick) :) So I posted a question yesterday about a content loader plugin for jQuery I thought I'd use, but didn't get it to work. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2469291/jquery-could-use-a-little-help-with-a-content-loader Although it works now, I see some disadvantages to it. It requires heaploads of files where the content is in. Since the code essentially picks up the url in the href link and searches that file for a div called #content What I would really like to do is to collect all of these files into a single file and give each div/container it's unique ID and just pick up the content from those. So i won't need so many separate files laying around. Nick Craver thought I should use $.get()instead since it's got a descent callback. But I'm not that strong in js at all.. And I don't even know what this means. I'm basically used to Visual Basic and passing of arguments, storing in txt files etc. Which is really not suitable for this purpose. So what's the "normal" way of doing things like this? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's thought of this right? I basically want to get content from a single php file that contains alot of divs with unique IDs. And without much hassle, fade out the existing content in my main page, pick up the contents from the other file and fade it into my main page.

Datepicker BeforeShowDay CSS problem with content styling

I think I'm not the only one having this problem. Whenever I try to apply a BeforeShowDay a new CSS class, the content of the "special date" is not being modified. I tried changing the default theme, adding a new class, but this is affecting only the outside border and not the inside content. Using Firebug I found that the html code being printed is the following: <td class=" ui-state-content ui-state-anulados" onclick="DP_jQuery.datepicker._selectDay('#datepicker',9,2009, this);return false;" title="Paddle"> <a class="ui-state-default" href="#">16</a> </td> So, my class would be ui-state-content ui-state-anulados but I notice that the ui-state-default class is being applied automatically and I suspect that this may be the problem. I really don't know how to solve this. I've been looking inside ui.datepicker.js code and I think I found the line that is giving me this problems. It is line number 1394 and it has the following code. (ui.datepicker.js) (unselectable ? Unfortunately, even though the server saves data and sends back a response I just can't get any alert or the console.log run. Why may be that? ASP.NET MVC: Can't figure out what VirtualPath is?

I have a View that displays a list of images and i am now trying to get it to display the images as thumbnails. Well, i'm pretty sure i got most of it right using VirtualPath's from a custom ActionResult although i can't seem to figure out what it is making the VirtualPath url?? BTW, i'm using XML to store the data from the images instead of SQL. jQuery arrays - newbie needs a kick start

I've only really started using this site and alredy I am very impressed by the community here! This is my third question in less than three days. Hopefully I'll be able to start answering questions soon instead of just asking them! I'm fairly new to jQuery and can't find a decent tutorial on Arrays. I'd like to be able to create an array that targets several ID's on my page and performs the same effect for each. For example I have tabs set up with the following: $('.tabs div.tab').hide(); $('.tabs div:first').show(); $('.tabs ul li:first a').addClass('current'); $('.tabs ul li a').click(function(){ $('.tabs ul li a').removeClass('current'); $(this).addClass('current'); var currentTab = $(this).attr('href'); $('.tabs div.tab').hide(); $(currentTab).show(); return false; }); I've used the class .tag to target the tabs as there are several sets on the same page, but I've heard jQuery works much faster when targetting ID's How would I add an array to the above code to target 4 different ID's? I've looked at var myArray = new Array('#id1', 'id2', 'id3', 'id4'); And also var myValues = [ '#id1', 'id2', 'id3', 'id4' ]; Which is correct and how do I then use the array in the code for my tabs...?

wordpress -> showing custom data from child pages + pagination

Hello! You can see here what i am doing: http://www.arvag.net/otkrijte-svet/leto/ So its pulling 2 custom fields from child pages, one of them is just url for the image on the left, and the other field is that text showing on the right. Now, what i want to do is to add pagination there. The code i have now will just simply show all child pages, but i want to show only 5 child pages, so if user want to see 6th child page he would have to click on link for "Page 2" and so on. Hello all, I'm having some problems, and looking for some help. I'm trying to create a photo gallery in javascript, that will be able to 'update' it's self automatically. I need to be able to search a directory, and grab a file with a specific prefix. I need to output the followng HTML code: <li><a href="images/resize_FILENAME.ext"><img src="images/thumb_FILENAME.ext"></a></li> The 'resize_' and 'thumb_' use a timestamp to identify, so they have the same ending, just a different prefix. So, for example, if I search the directory for an image with a prefix of 'resize_', I need to insert that into the a tag, and then remove the '_resize' prefix, and add the '_thumb' prefix for the img tag. I then need to be able to do that for each image in the directory. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I should add: I'm assuming php would be easiest for this, but if an alternative exists that would work too. I'm also using jQuery if javascript would be better.

I appreciate any help on this! Please note: This is legal as the songs are not bound by copyright and they are available to download freely, its just I need to download a lot of them and I can't sit there clicking a button all day. Having said that, its taken me an hour to get this far.

Working With Feeds and Lists

CFfile -- value is not set to the queried data

I have this add user form, it also doubles as a edit user form by querying the data and setting the value="#query.xvalue#". If the user exists (eg, you're editing a user, it loads in the users data from the database. Spring Form: Submitting extra parameter on submit buttons

Hi, I am working on a form with a bunch of selection criteria that will generate a report when the form is submitted. I also have a number of different reports that can be generated form this same criteria, and want the type of report to be selectable by using a tab system where each tab clicked on submits the form and generates the correct report. I was to do this by passing an extra parameter into the form to switch onto the right form type I am new to Spring, and from the guidance of an elder was told to use an input button for each tab with the following approximate syntax: <input type="submit" name="${form.selectionValues.tabSelection}" value="1" /> tabSelection form property of the SelectionValues object is not being set. I wasn't surprised ;) DIdn't think this would work. So I am wondering how can I can submit a post back from a button in Spring containing the form values plus an extra tabSelection parameter and value? How should I mark up this mechanism? Will I have to do anything to the form controller to register this extra parameter? The original markup I was using to build this page, was using HTML anchor tags instead of buttons for the tab links, which would be much better for the CSS, is there any way to trigger a full form submit using an anchor href? I know this will be a GET request instead of a POST, and not associated with the form.. so I dont expect this to work.. just trying to think of solutions! I would prefer to use the priginal markup, as the styles are there. Any help would be appreciated

Forcing user to new page in php. (PHP newbie)

Hello I'm a newbie web programmer. My background is writing Windows applications with sql. I'm putting together my 1st data entry screens in Php. I have a search form that links to a form that displays records in a grid. On each row of the grid I have a delete url to allow the user to remove a record. This links to a form delete.php (which calls the sql to remove the record). Ideally I would like to automatically take the user back to the search form rather than forcing the user to click on a link to do so. I have used ob_start with the header to do this elsewhere but cannot get it to work on this page. Is there another way to do it? need help with mvc & routes

I'm very new to MVC and I'm trying to get a new site set up using it. For SEO reasons we need to make the url of a page something like "Recruiter/4359/John_Smith" or basically {controller}/{id}/{name}. I have that working when I create the url in the code behind like so... //r is a recruiter object that is part of the results for the view r.Summary = searchResult.Summary + "... <a href=\"/Recruiter/" + r.Id + "/" + r.FirstName + "_" + r.LastName + "\">Read More</a>" But when I am using the collection of results from a search in my view and iterating through them I am trying to create another link to the same page doing something like <%=Html.ActionLink<RecruiterController>(x => x.Detail((int)r.Id), r.RecruiterName)%> but that doesn't work. When I use that code in the view it gives me a url in the form of /Recruiter/Detail/4359 I was told by a coworker that I should use the Html.ActionLink to create the link in both the view and the controller so that if the route changes in the future it will automatically work. Unfortunately he wasn't sure how to do that in this case. So, my problems are... How can I make the Html.ActionLink work in the view to create a url like I need (like r.Summary above)? How do I use the Html.ActionLink in a controller instead of hardcoding the link like I have above?
