• Why is "wsdl" namespace interjected into action name when using savon for ruby soap communication?

  I'm trying to access a SOAP service i don't control. One of the actions is called ProcessMessage. I follow example and generate a SOAP request, but I get an error back saying that the action doesn't exist. I traced the problem to the way the body of the envelope is generated. <env:Envelope ... "> <env:Header> <wsse:Security ... "> <wsse:UsernameToken ..."> <wsse:Username>USER</wsse:Username> <wsse:Nonce>658e702d5feff1777a6c741847239eb5d6d86e48</wsse:Nonce> <wsu:Created>2010-02-18T02:05:25Z</wsu:Created> <wsse:Password ... >password</wsse:Password> </wsse:UsernameToken> </wsse:Security> </env:Header> <env:Body> <wsdl:ProcessMessage> <payload> ...... </payload> </wsdl:ProcessMessage> </env:Body> </env:Envelope> That ProcessMessage tag should be : <ProcessMessage xmlns="http://www.starstandards.org/webservices/2005/10/transport"> That's what it is when it is generated by the sample java app, and it works. That tag is the only difference between what my ruby app generates and the sample java app. Is there any way to get rid of the "wsdl:" namesaplce in front of that one tag and add an attribute like that. Barring that, is there a way to make force the action to be not to be generated by just passed as a string like the rest of the body? • python pdb not breaking in files properly?

  Hi Folks, I wish I could provide a simple sample case that occurs using standard library code, but unfortunately it only happens when using one of our in-house libraries that in turn is built on top of sql alchemy. Basically, the problem is that this break command: (Pdb) print sqlalchemy.engine.base.__file__ /prod/eggs/SQLAlchemy-0.5.5-py2.5.egg/sqlalchemy/engine/base.py (Pdb) break /prod/eggs/SQLAlchemy-0.5.5-py2.5.egg/sqlalchemy/engine/base.py:946 Is just being totally ignored, it seems, by pdb. As in, even though I am positive the code is being hit (both because I can see log messages, and because I've used sys.settrace to check which lines in which files are being hit), pdb is just not breaking there. I suspect that somehow the use of an egg is confusing pdb as to what files are being used (I can't reproduce the error if I use a non-egg'ed library, like pickle; there everything works fine). It's a shot in the dark, but has anyone come across this before? Thanks, /YGA

  What I am trying to do is simple. I have some Classic ASP with include headers like the following referencing MDAC 2.5: METADATA TYPE="TypeLib" NAME="Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.5 Library" UUID="{00000205-0000-0010-8000-00AA006D2EA4}" VERSION="2.5" Now I am trying to call this same include file on a Windows 2008 box with IIS 7 using MDAC 2.8 with this: METADATA TYPE="typelib" NAME="Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.8 Library" UUID="{2A75196C-D9EB-4129-B803-931327F72D5C}" VERSION="2.8" My question is, why does this not work anymore? Has the tag reference changed? I ran MDAC checker and everything is installed correctly. What am I missing? I am running on a Windows 2008 box with IIS 7. Thanks in advance!

  I am creating a library which contains an API for setting the current location based off some value collected by the GPS. I want to store this location in my class and later, change the behavior of my library if it is set. The idea is rapid data entry. So one form shows each client with their contacts in dropdowns and I we can change each one then click a save button to do a mass save. the database looks like this: tblClient ClientID ClientName BusinessContact Tech1 Tech2 My idea was to use a repeater to format the data like this: Client Business Contact Tech1 Tech2 Client2 Business Contact Tech1 Tech2 What I'm stuck on is how to do the mass update? • Removed MAMP from OS X, dyld still using MAMP libraries

  When I try and use a populator or sphinx on a Ruby app I keep receiving dyld errors. I used to use MAMP on OS X Leopard but since I've upgraded to Snow Leopard and am now using standalone MySQL (10.5 64-bit). $ rake ts:index Would return dyld: Library not loaded: /Applications/MAMP/Library/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.15.dylib Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/indexer Reason: image not found rake aborted! Even though to remove MAMP I just deleted the /Applications/MAMP directory. But it still looks like dylib has references to it. I've tried running: $ sudo update_dyld_shared_cache -verify and restarting but the problem still persists. OS X 10.6.1, MySQL 5.0.85 (x86_64)

• How do I remove the namespaces in Zend_Soap?

  Hi There I am trying to use the tranlsation webservice from MyMemory: http://mymemory.translated.net/doc/spec.php Unfortunately, Zend_Soap_Client does generate an XML reqest object that is not recognized by the service. I guess it is because of the ns1-Attribute (Namespace) within the tags. So does anyone know how to remove them? • Unable to sync custom authentication with RIA services in SL3 + RIA implementation

  I am developing SL3 + RIA services with custom authentication. I followed the example in http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/RiaServices/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=2661 to implement custom authentication. Based on the implementation, you first do login request from client to service. This request is async process. Noe the client GUI will start to bind data to SL controls using RIA services, which requires the authentication to be successful (by adding [RequireAuthentication] attribute). The trouble is, since you requested login from the main process, while it is doing authentication, the page control takes over and starts to bind data using RIA services. But the problem is authentication is not completed yet thus which ever the first service method data binding hits will fail with 'Access denied'. Bottom line is GUI is will not wait for authentication to be completed to start the data binding. My question is how do you handle this situation? Thanks,

  Hello there, I'm using: - Flex SDK 3.5.0 - Parsley 2.2.2. - Flash Builder 4 Down in my src folder (which is configured as part of the source path in the Flash Builder), I have a logging.xml which I configure via Parsley: FlexLoggingXmlSupport.initialize(); XmlContextBuilder.build("com/company/product/util/log/logging.xml"); When I run my application through Flash Builder, the XmlContentBuilder seems to locate the logging.xml (the implementation is a regular URLLoader one). I tried using the -dump-config option with the Flash Builder's compiler, then giving that configuration to MXMLC, but it didn't work either. I tried providing the XmlContentBuilder with an absolute path. That worked fine when I compiled with MXMLC via Ant, but still didn't work when I used MXMLC in the command-line... • Handling redirected URL within Flex app?

  We have a Flex client and a server that is using the Spring/Blazeds project. After the user logs in and is authenticated, the spring security layer sends a redirect to a new URL which is where our main application is located. However, within the flex client, I'm currently using HTTPService for the initial request and I get the redirected page sent back to me in its entirety. How can I just get the URL so that I can use navigatetourl to get where the app to go where it needs to? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

  So I am using the Uplodify plugin to allow users to upload multiple images at once. The problem is I need to set a minimum width and height for images. Let's say 150x150px is the smallest image users can upload. How can I set this limitation in the Uploadify plugin? When user tries to upload smaller picture, I would like to display some error message as well.   Curious how one would go about calling a class method from inside an instance method of a module which is included by an active record class. • How to get Webkit Browser DBus Bridge working?

  I've been struggling to get the Browser Dbus Binding working for Webkit/GTK (http://gitorious.org/webkitgtk/stable) port. I have been able to successfully compile the Webkit/GTK port as well as the DBus binding library on my Ubuntu Lucid Beta. I also installed the DBus binding library at the standard location /usr/local/lib. But now when I launch the Webkit/GTK browser and try to run one of the sample html files that are provided with DBus binding source, I get "Browser D-Bus Bridge not available, cannot run tests." Basically, JavaScript cannot find window.dbus object. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done here?

• Server side Xforms form validation and integration into ASP.NET

  I have recently been investigating methods of creating web-based forms for an ASP.NET web application that can be edited and managed at runtime. For example an administrator might wish to add a new validation rule or a new set of fields. The holy grail would provide a means of specifying a form along with (potentially very complex) arbitrary validation rules, and allocation of data sources for each field. The specification would then be used to update the deployed form in the web application which would then validate submissions both on the client side and on the server side. My investigations led me to Xforms and a number of technologies that support it. One solution appears to be IBM Lotus Forms, but this requires a very large investment in terms of infrastructure, which makes it infeasible, although the forms designer may be useful as a stand-alone tool for creating the forms. I have also discounted browser plug-ins as the form must be publicly visible and cross-browser compliant. I have noticed that there are numerous javascript libraries that provide client side implementations given an Xforms schema. These would provide a partial solution but server side validation is still a requirement. Another option seems to involve the use of server side solutions such as the Java application Orbeon. Orbeon provides a tool for specifying the forms (although not as rich as Lotus Forms Designer), but the most interesting point is that it can translate an XForms schema into an XHTML form complete with validation. The fact that it is written in Java is not a big problem if it is possible to integrate with the existing ASP.NET application. So my question is whether anyone has done this before. It sounds like a problem that should have been solved but is inherently very complex. It seems possible to use an off-the-shelf tool to design the form and export it to an Xforms schema and xhtml form, and it seems possible to take that xforms schema and form and publish it using a client side library. What seems to be difficult is providing a means of validating the form submission on the server side and integrating the process nicely with .NET (although it seems the .NET community doesn't involve themselves with XForms; please correct me if I'm wrong on this count). I would be more than happy if a product provided something simple like a web service that could validate a submission against a schema. Maybe Orbeon does this but I'd be grateful if somebody in the know could point me in the right direction before I research it further. Many thanks.

• Sharepoint SSO bulk creation of user accounts

  Hopefully someone can help... I need to provide client with a solution to allow bulk creation of user accounts into SharePoint SSO. The client wants to provide an excel spreadsheet with accounts, usernames and passwords and have that created in the SSO database. I've been told its possible but I can't see how and google is failing me. I've been told its "some custom development and the SharePoint object model". As far as I can see all of the credentials stuff in the Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.SingleSignon namespace is very much read only. I have a solution which is to get them to save the spreadsheet as a CSV file and to use jmeter to squirt the data in through the front end. I don't think that's really an acceptable solution though. Anyone got any clues? Or can anyone say definitively this can't be done? Thanks in advance...

• DCOM: CoCreateInstanceEx returns E_ACCESSDENIED

  I'm working on a DCOM application with the server and client on two machines, both of which are running WinXP with Service Pack 2. On both machines, I'm logged in with the same username and password. When the client on one machine calls CoCreateInstanceEx, asking the other machine to start up the server application, it returns E_ACCESSDENIED. I tried going into the server app's component properties in dcomcnfg and giving full permisions to everyone for everything, but that didn't help. What do I need to do to allow this call to succeed? Update: When the server app is running on a Windows 2000 box, I do not get this error; CoCreateInstanceEx returns S_OK.

• TCP connection lost problems in c#

  Hi: In my application, I have a server listening on a port on localhost for client connection. Then I have clients running and establishes connection with the server. I used tcpListner in c# for the server and the clients were written in perl using Inet function. The connection between clients and server were established without a problem and a message from client is received by the server. However, after about 3 to 4 seconds, the connection is lost. I use netstat -a to see if the status of the connection is still "established". The result is "Close_wait" after I use netstat command on DOS. How can I debug this problem? Which side is causing the lost of connection? Thanks

The client has two "web developers" who are more comfortable with Lotus Domino than more mainstream tools and technologies and are not enthusiastic about making a switch. I have been asked to provide an assessment of why it may be prudent to migrate to a different web application platform. I would be particularly interested in understanding deficiencies related to the platform as I have very little knowledge of Domino but am very familiar with other platforms. In addition to the fact that Apache has over 70% of web server market, IIS over 21%, and Lotus almost 0%, what other reasons would you give for moving away from this platform? • Trying to run WCF web service on non-domain VM, Security Errors

  Am I in a Catch-22 situation here? My goal is to take a WCF service that I inherited, and run it on a VM and test it by calling it from my desktop PC. The VM is in a workgroup, and not in the company's domain. Basically, we need more test environments, ideally one per developer (we may have 2 to 4 people that need this). Thus the idea of the VM was that each developer could have his own web server that somewhat matches or real environment (where we actually have two websites, an external/exposed and internal). [Using VS2010 .NET 4.0] In the internal service, each method was decorated with this attribute: [OperationBehavior(Impersonation = ImpersonationOption.Required)] I'm still researching why this was needed. I think it's because a webapp calls the "internal" service, and either a) we need the credentials of the user, or b) we may doing some PrinciplePermission.Demands to see if the user is in a group. My interest is creating some ConsoleTest programs or UnitTest programs. I changed to allowed like this: [OperationBehavior(Impersonation = ImpersonationOption.Allowed)] because I was getting this error in trying to view the .svc in the browser: The contract operation 'EditAccountFamily' requires Windows identity for automatic impersonation. A Windows identity that represents the caller is not provided by binding ('WSHttpBinding','http://tempuri.org/') for contract ('IAdminService','http://tempuri.org/'. I don't get that error with the original bindings look like this: However, I believe I need to turn off this security since the web service is not on the domain. I tend to get these errors in the client: 1) The request for security token could not be satisfied because authentication failed - as an InnerException of "SecurityNegotiation was unhandled". or 2) The caller was not authenticated by the service as an InnerException of "SecurityNegotiation was unhandled". So can I create some configuration of code and web.config that will allow each developer to work on his own VM? Or must I join the VM to the domain? The number of permutations seems near endless. I've started to create a Word.doc that says what to do with each error, but now I'm in the catch-22 where I'm stuck. It looks to me that it doesn't send a challenge when app tries to access it unauthorized. Any ideas anyone?

• XMPP TLS connection with SslStream

  I am trying to create a simple xmpp client that connects to Gtalk. The first part of the handshake seems to work. Ror the TLS handshake I created a client SslStream, connected to the intended server (talk.google.com) and successfully got authenticated . The first SSlStream.Read is to receive the greeting reply, it went fine . I do a SslStream.write to send my first command, but when i do my Sslstream.Read() to get the reply , i get this error."System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine." Can anyone point me to the right direction?
