    Ok so I've been reading up on HTTP and found this page. This is an example HTTP request that was posted there: GET /http.html Http1.1 Host: www.http.header.free.fr Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, Accept-Language: Fr Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 4.0) Connection: Keep-Alive I tried it in telnet and it worked. But everywhere else I see this kind of request line GET /http.html HTTP/1.1 The important different is that HTTP is all caps and the / character. Are they both correct? They both seem to work on the sites I've tested it on. I've skimmed the RFC of HTTP but didn't find anything of use. Has anyone else seen this kind of request header? Is it officially supported?

    Im trying to use Web Deploy with arvixe hosting. I enabled Publishing with the host but I get SSL exception when I hit publish. Is anybody familiar with the following exception: Error 59 Web deployment task failed.(Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'https://yew.arvixe.com:8172/msdeploy.axd?site=mywebsite.com'.) Could not complete the request to remote agent URL 'https://yew.arvixe.com:8172/msdeploy.axd?site=mywebsite.com'.   • Low overhead Java Web Services container?

    I want to provide a Java-based Web Service, but I don't require the features of a full-blown J2EE Application Server. I would like it to start as quickly as possible, though that's not a hard requirement. The Web Service will handle multiple connections and require access to an Oracle database so it will at least require a thread pool and database connection pool. I may want to put a JSP interface onto it later to provide an internal maintainence interface. I have looked at Jetty with an Apache CXF stack, but it looks like I'll have to do a fair amount configuration before even coding the web service - Will it be worth it? Will it even work? Should I forget about the complexity and simply go with JBoss/Weblogic/etc and put up with the bloat and extra start-up time?

    I am writing a chatbot using Twisted and wokkel and everything seems to be working except that bot periodically logs off. To temporarily fix that I set presence to available on every connection initialized. Does anyone know how to prevent going offline? (I assume if i keep sending available presence every minute or so bot wont go offline but that just seems too wasteful.) Suggestions anyone?     I am using SQLite as my db during development, and I want to postpone actually creating a final database until my domains are fully mapped.   • Disable IPV6 on specific NIC via PowerShell using a Com Object on Windows Server 2008 R2?

    I need to script some Windows Server 2008 R2 builds, preferably in PowerShell. I need to disable or uncheck IPV6 on a specific NIC (the same NIC every time). Currently, I have to set it manually. I do not want to disable IPV6 completely for the entire server other things may use that in the future. Is there an object I can reference in a PowerShell command specifying my NIC "Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection" and disable IPV6? Unfortunately, Group Policy is not an option says the boss. I've tried finding an appropriate WMI object via "PowerShell Scriptomatic" but failed to find the difference between an enabled setting versus disabled on the Intel NIC. Thanks in advance.

  • When to use memberEnd and when navigableOwnedEnd (in Altova notation) in an UML class diagram?

    I've download a trial of Altova UModel and am starting using UML. As a practical beginning I am modelling a personal information manager application, which includes a web bookmark managing. A Bookmark can belong to many (or no) Tags at once and a Tag can contain many (or no if all the bookmarks it contained were deleted) bookmarks. The relation has to be both-way navigable - a user has to be able to see all Bookmarks with a particular Tags ans all Tags of a Bookmark. What is the correct UML relation between Bookmark and Tag classes? As far as I understand UML now, it is an Association (not an Aggregation). But for a 2-way navigable many-to-many relation I can specify ends roles as "memberEnd" or "when navigableOwnedEnd", graphically the connection looks the same in both cases (an arrow) (which as I understand means navigability) but a property appears in the class box in case only when "memberEnd" is used. How should I specif it in the model If I mean both-way navigable many-to-many relation there?

  • MySQL Throws NullReferenceException in Finalize... How are you coping with this?

    I am using MySQL with the .Net connector on 64 bit Windows. For some reason Mysql is throwing a NullReferenceException in Finalize. This is the problem here and it seems that its due to a bug described here. This bug was reported in 6.22, but I am getting the issue with 6.23 too so apparently it is not fixed. I am using MySQL both with the helper classes, and by instantiating the connection and the Mysqlcommand object. Does anybody have any idea what part of my code do I need to change to fix this issue? Cause even though this is a bug in Mysql this is not universal because I am not getting the problem in my other projects. MySQL bug report has no details on how to reproduce it either. Any suggestions?

    I'm running into a strange problem - I tried running a basic function in JS and jQuery, and while the former worked, the latter didn't. JS - okay alert('Works'); jQuery - not okay $(document).ready({ alert('Works'); }); Here's some facts: My references to the jQuery library are correct (And pretty sure my Internet connection is steady :) I'm using a CDN - CloudFlare to be exact, but I've switched development mode on and Rocket Loader off - so all the code I've uploaded to the server is WYSIWYG (CloudFlare adds some stuff in the tags if you leave Rocket Loader on. I tried running the alert code in the head section, and elsewhere in the body tags, to no avail. What could have possibly gone wrong?   • How to read a column in a tab-delimited Excel file in C#?

    I have some data of an excel file below. At first, I figured that reading from the file could be done using the Excel Library then using an OLEDB connection. I managed to get the DocumentNo column data with the OLEDB approach. However, when the excel file is closed, I am unable to do the operation because it gives an error that "External table is not in the expected format."     Hi, I Have a DataBase in my project With Table named 'ProcessData' and columns named 'Start_At' (Type: DateTime) and 'End_At' (Type: DateTime) . When I try to enter a new record into this table, it enter the data in the following format: 'YYYY/MM/DD HH:mm', when I actualy want it to be in that format: 'YYYY/MM/DD HH:mm:ss' (the secondes dosen't apper). Does anyone know why, and what should I do in order to fix this?   • Get DataGridView checkbox cell value?

    Hello guys. I'm having a strange issue here. I have a 3 column datagrid that is filled by a connection with the database. So far so good. I have an extra column, of checkbox type. I need to get it's value for perfoming a bulk operation on it. Here is the catch: When all cells are selected, it works fine. But when an user selects any cell that its not the first, software gives me a object reference exception.     So I have I think around 36,000 just to be safe, a number I wouldn't think was too large for a modern sql database like mysql. Each record has just two attributes.     I have a table posts and a polymorphic table votes. Right now I'm basically taking all the posts they've already voted on and subtracting that from the entire set of posts.   • Win32 Thread Exits Unexpectedly

    Hello, I'm writing a C++ application. I realized that one of my worker threads may terminate unexpectedly. The (VS 2005) debug log says: The thread 'Win32 Thread' (0x5d98) has exited with code -858993460 (0xcccccccc). I surrounded all the worker thread code with a try/catch block. So, if the reason was an exception, I would catch it. But I can't: try{ ... Connection* conn = connectionPool->getConnection(); // unexpected exit occurs here ... } catch(exception& e) { ... } I have ten threads running concurrently, and only one of them gets crashed after some time, while the others continue running (and getting new [OCCI] connections). Is there an exception type that is not caught by "exception"? Or what do I not know about threads/exceptions? Thanks.

    Hello, I'm new to Android development and working on an Android application that requires the phone to be connected to the internet, through either Wifi, EDGE or 3G. This is the code that I'm using: public static boolean isConnected() { ConnectivityManager cm = (ConnectivityManager) getSystemService(Context.CONNECTIVITY_SERVICE); return cm.getActiveNetworkInfo().isConnectedOrConnecting(); } I've also set these permissions in the manifest file: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" /> This works fine in the emulator running version 1.5 of Android when 3G is enabled, but it crashes when I disable the 3G connection. My application throws a null pointer exception when I call isConnectedOrConnecting(). Hope that anyone knows the solution to this. Thanks in advance!

    Hi, Our product is using MS SQL Compact Edition on a Windows machine (laptop). It's basically a metadata index for files we have on the filesystem. Recently we have seen databases getting corrupted. This happens when the machine is very busy moving files around and has to do a tiny bit of database changes at the same time. I was somewhat shocked that was at all possible. It was my expectation that the database would stay coherent whatever the circumstances. Of course we are doing something wrong. Things we have checked so far are: Use of only one db connection per thread specify the maximum size when opening the database The database is accessed only by one application, a .net based windows service. Are there other gotcha's?

  • How to find why NSMutableData is invalid

    I access a RESTFUL url and get back results. The results are in JSON. I turn the response into a string via: - (void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)connection { NSString *json = [[NSString alloc] initWithBytes:[self.receivedData mutableBytes] length:[self.receivedData length] encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; The json variable has a value of 0x0. When I mouse over it, I see <Invalid CFStringRef. How can I debug this to tell why it is invalid? I render the JSON given back through the browser in A JSON parser. That checks out fine. Results are given back by entering an ID in the URL. Other IDs return results without issue. The result set is fairly large.
