This was the only suggestion which didn't depend on non-commodity-class hardware. Subsequently nobody would put their reputation on the line to argue definitively for or against it. I want to make such system which will be storing one telnet connection per switch and every script (web interface, cron jobs, etc.) will have access to it.     I restarted my slave to change configuration settings to skip reverse hostname lookup on connecting and to enable the slow query log. I edited /etc/my.cnf making only these changes, then restarted mysqld with /etc/init.d/mysql restart All appeared to be well but when I connect to msyqld remotely or locally though it connects okay a slight problem is that mysqld crashes whenever you try to issue any kind of statement.     In his book programming in scala (Chapter 5 Section 5.9 Pg 93) Odersky mentioned this expression "bills !*&^%~ code! In the footnote on same page: "By now you should be able to figure out that given this code,the Scala compiler would invoke (bills.!*&^%~(code)).!()." That's a bit to cryptic for me, could someone explain what's going on here?

  • Removing the transperancy from image while keeping the actual image

    Hello people, I have three images,and , they are not square or rectangular in shape. They are just like face of anyone. So,basically, my images are in the size 196x196 or anything like that, but complete square or rectangle with the face in the middle and transperant background in the rest of the portion. Now, I want to remove the transperant background too and just keep the faces. Don't know if this is possible and mind you, this isn't a programming question.
