    I have an SSRS project and I want to exclude a row that I have hidden from the total. I have hidden the row based on an expression on the row visibility, where the row is hidden if: =IIF(IIF(ReportItems!CUST_CNT2.Value = 0, 0, ReportItems!Total_Contribution5.Value / IIF(ReportItems!CUST_CNT2.Value = 0, 1, ReportItems!CUST_CNT2.Value)) > 0, True, False) So basically the column totals for the report just total up all rows including this above row that I have hidden, and I need the total to exclude this row. Any ideas?

I have not used Thread Pool. I wanted to know when windows service is stopped, then how to identify how many threads are running and whether they are complete. If all the threads are executed then windows service can be stopped successfully. Otherwis windows service should wait until all threads are executed or aborted. How to implement this.

MyService serviceproxy = new MyService(); When I instantiate the service proxy, I get an InvalidOperationException with the following text (translated from german): Could not find default endpoint element to the contract "ServiceName.ServiceInterface" in the service model refers client configuration section. This may be because: The application configuration file was not found or not an endpoint in the client element item is found, which corresponded to this contract. Where servicename is the name I give the service when I add it in vs2008 and ServiceInterface the interface which is automatically generated for it.

    I am following the example from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/8wy069k1.aspx to consume a web service implemented (by 3rd party) using the Event-based Asynchronous Pattern. However, my program needs to do multiple calls to the DoStuffAsync() hence will get back as many DoStuffCompleted. I chose the overload which takes an extra parameter - Object userState to distinguish them. My first question is: Is it valid to cast a GUID to Object as below, where GUID is used to generate unique taskID? Object userState = Guid.NewGuid(); Secondly, do I need to spawn off a new thread for each DoStuffAsync() call, since I am calling it multiple times? Also, would be nice to have some online examples or tutorials on this subject. (I've been googling for it the whole day and didn't get much back) Many thanks

    I would like to implement a 'Send Feedback' option in a Java desktop application. One which will pop up a box for the user to enter a comment, then send it to us along with a screenshot of the application window. How would be the best way to communicate the data to us? Two obvious solutions spring to mind: Email - I'm thinking that the application would connect to an SMTP server set-up by us, with the username/password somehow hidden in the code. SMTP over SSL for security (not of the data being sent, but of the SMTP username/password). Web service - pretty self explanatory. Which of these would be best, or is there a better alternative?

Now, when I try to create a file using this code : FileStream os = new FileStream(String.Format(folderName, fileName), FileMode.Create); I get Access to filepath is denied. In the service Installer I set the following parameters to : this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Account = System.ServiceProcess.ServiceAccount.LocalSystem; this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Password = "Pass"; this.serviceProcessInstaller1.Username = "Administrator" I added all the possible accounts with Full permissions to the folder where I want to create the file but nothing helped.   • INDY WebService over SSL contains link with HTTP protocol instead of HTTPS in WSDL

    When creating new SOAP WebService server project using Delphi XE2 the wizard allows to set change port and HTTPS properties. Port is set to 443, HTTPS flag is checked, but when trying to connect to created server it returns incorrect transport (HTTP instead of HTTPS) in WSDL and generates HTTP links on the Service Info Page. The auto-generated page is not so important, but wrong information in WSDL file is a problem. [ And it is never called in my case ] then : MyService service = new MyService(); MyServicePort port = service.getPortType(); now I try this: BindingProvider bindingProvider = (BindingProvider)port; bindingProvider.getBinding().getHandlerChain().add(new LoggingHandler()); I do not see any request / response xml though. Does anyone know how to write wsdl defintion, such that axis creates reasonCode as an element with an attribute "required". Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, SK

  • architecture and tools for a remote control application?

    I'm working on the design of a remote control application. From my iPhone or a web browser, I'll send a few commands. Soon my home computer will perform the commands and send back results. I know there are remote desktop apps, but I want something programmable, something simpler, and something that I wrote. My current direction is to use Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS) as the message bus. The iPhone places some messages in a queue. My local Java/JRuby program notices the messages on the queue, performs the work and sends back status via a different queue. This will be a very low-volume application. At $1.00 for a million requests (plus a handful of data transfer charges), Amazon SQS looks a lot more affordable than having my own server of any type. And super reliable, that's important for me too. Are there better/standard toolkits or architectures for this kind of remote control? Cost is not a big issue, but I prefer the tons I learn by doing it myself. I'm moderately concerned about security, but doubt it will be a problem. The list of commands recognized will be very short, and only recognized in specific contexts. No "erase hard drive" stuff. update: I'll probably distribute these programs to some other people who want the same function, but who don't have Amazon SQS accounts. For now, they'll use anonymous access to my queues, with random 80-character queue names.

    My app takes a few seconds to load and I have a splash screen. Once "viewDidLoad" I have a little sound play. I feel that the sound would be in better use if it started playing when the splash screen popped up. Is it possible to have a sound start before/during the splash screen?   • JBoss as a windows service. Where can i set the JAVA_OPTS?

    hi. I'm running JBoss as a windows service, but i can't seem to find where i can configure the JAVA_OPTS to make it work properly. I need to set the Xms and the Xmx. I have tried to just run JBoss manually (run.bat) and in the same file i set the JAVA_OPTS= -Xms128m -Xmx512m. And that works. Here is my install.bat where i install the JBoss as a service: set JBOSS_CLASS_PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\lib\tools.jar;%JBOSS_HOME%\bin\run.jar rem copy /Y JavaService.exe D:\PROJECT\bin\JBossService.exe JBossService.exe -install JBoss %JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll -Djava.class.path=%JBOSS_CLASS_PATH% -start org.jboss.Main -stop org.jboss.Shutdown -method systemExit -out %PROJECT_HOME%\log\JBoss_out.log -err %PROJECT_HOME%\log\JBoss_err.log -current D:\PROJECT\bin net start JBoss When i look at the info about JBoss Application Server (http://localhost:8080/web-console/) i see this info: JVM Environment Free Memory: 9 MB Max Memory: 63 MB Total Memory: 63 MB And i MUST have more Max Memory. Does anybody know where i can set the JAVA_OPTS when running JBoss as a service?

    I have this MDX query: Exists([Group].[Group Hierarchy].allmembers, {[Group].[Group Full Name].&[121 - Group A], [Group].[Group Full Name].&[700000 - Group C]}) ... which works fine EXCEPT that it returns all of the ancestors of the specified groups as well. What I want is to return JUST the groups from the hierarchy with the specified Group Names (this is a type 2 dimension so there may be many at different levels). Any ideas?

  • WebService loggin using log4j in tomcat container

    Hi, I have my webservice deployed on Apache tomcat 5.5. When I run my webservice using eclipse IDE, it prints logs to the location I have specified . I have put log4j property file for my webservice in the apache-tomcat-5.5.28/common/classes folder. Problem is , when i run this using webservice .aar file which is put in to apache-tomcat-5.5.28/webapps/axis2/WEB-INF/classes folder in the webservice ,it does not print logs. Could anyone tell me what is going wrong here. why does it print logs when running from eclipse ide and, why is it not printing logs when it is started using the aar file deployed to tomcat
