  • Is there an easy way to make a horizontally paged UIScrollView wrap around?

    I notice that in the stocks application, the small graph wraps around, eg: when you get to the end of the scroll view and swipe right again, you go back to the beginning. Before I go ahead and code this myself is there an easy way to do this in the SDK? I can't find any properties or methods that would enable that? I have a paged UIScrollView that scrolls horizontally, pretty much exactly like the stocks application one does.

  • Core Animation performance on iphone

    I'm trying to do some animations using Core Animation on the iphone. I'm using CABasicAnimation on CALayer. It's a straight forward animation from a random place at the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen at random speed, I have 30 elements that doing the same animation continuously until another action happens. But the performance on the iPhone 3G is very sluggish when the animations start. The image is only 8k. Is this the right approach?     I want to print a table of the colours used in a web page that my graphic designer has produced - I have .png files at present and use Fireworks to view them. It would be great if there was a tool that lets you print a table with the colour and hex value so I can easily reference when programming. Anyone come across such a thing? Sounds to me like there should be a firefox extension or similar?

    I was attempting to install an exe that requires a serial number before the install, which the vendor has not provided to us yet. This got my wheels turning about whether there is any information that can be gained from viewing an exe using a hex editor/VI/etc? Using VI to view an exe, I can see some sections of plain text, but it is difficult to determine what it refers to without any context around it. Is it possible to determine any information by reading an exe? Thanks

  • What is the best way to format Django urls for two parameters, either of which are optional?

    I'm designing a gallery application for viewing vehicle pictures and there are two parameters: Manufacturer Vehicle type Right now you can view either, but not both. Urls go like so: /manufacturer/# /type/# Where # is an ID number. How/can I format my URLs so it can accept both? My current solution is to do: /both/#/# but this requires some retooling since the application doesn't know when you want to filter by both. Any insight would be appreciated.

When you right click and select view source in a page that is generated by JavaScript (e.g using GWT) you do not see the dynamically generated HTML. Instead of having to create an edit/display for each entity, I'd like to have the controller base class generate the view and validation code based off metadata stored in a table - something along those lines.
