• Quartz Thread Execution Parallel or Sequential?

  We have a quartz based scheduler application which runs about 1000 jobs per minute which are evenly distributed across seconds of each minute i.e. about 16-17 jobs per second. Ideally, these 16-17 jobs should fire at same time, however our first statement, which simply logs the time of execution, of execute method of the job is being called very late. e.g. let us assume we have 1000 jobs scheduled per minute from 05:00 to 05:04. So, ideally the job which is scheduled at 05:03:50 should have logged the first statement of the execute method at 05:03:50, however, it is doing it at about 05:06:38. I have tracked down the time taken by the scheduled job which comes around 15-20 milliseconds. This scheduled job is fast enough because we just send a message on an ActiveMQ queue. We have specified the number of threads of quartz to be 100 and even tried with increasing it to 200 and more, but no gain. One more thing we noticed is that logs from scheduler are coming sequential after first 1 minute i.e. [Quartz_Worker_28] <Some log statement> .. .. [Quartz_Worker_29] <Some log statement> .. .. [Quartz_Worker_30] <Some log statement> .. .. So it suggesting that after some time quartz is running threads almost sequential. May be this is happening due to the time taken in notifying the job completion to persistence store (which is a separate postgres database in this case) and/or context switching. What can be the reason behind this strange behavior? • LocalAlloc and LocalRealloc usage

  I have a Visual Studio 2008 C++ Windows Mobile 6 application where I'm using a FindFirst() / FindNext() style API to get a collection of items. I do not know how many items will be in the list ahead of time. So, I would like to dynamically allocate an array for these items. Normally, I would use a std::vector<>, but, for other reasons, that's not an option for this application. So, I'm using LocalAlloc() and LocalReAlloc(). What I'm not clear on is if this memory should be marked fixed or moveable. The application runs fine either way. 'QuerySet' object has no attribute 'name' 1.How can this be resolved. 2.Also how to query for only one field instead of selecting all like select name from info.

• Java Sound API: Capturing sound output from a Target Port

  I'm writing a simple piece of software that streams audio over LAN. I have all of the network parts implemented, but what I'm stumbling on is using the Java Sound API. I have successfully captured audio from the microphone, and line-in, but I can't seem to capture from any target ports, like the speakers. My question is, is it possible to capture from the Master target port? Right now I'm using a hidden div and jQuery's load function to load fragments of the external site, once the info is loaded I parse some info with selectors. This is fine but it's kinda dirty and I need to perform this several times (don't want to need many hidden divs). Just wondering if anybody knows a good webscrapper written in jQuery or maybe another method I'm missing

• Error at lapack cgesv when matrix is not singular

  This is my first post. I usually ask classmates for help, but they have a lot of work now and I'm too desperate to figure this out on my own :). I am working on a project for school and I have come to a point where I need to solve a system of linear equations with complex numbers. I have decided to call lapack routine "cgesv" from c++. I use the c++ complex library to work with complex numbers. Problem is, when I call the routine, I get error code "2". From lapack documentation: INFO is INTEGER = 0: successful exit < 0: if INFO = -i, the i-th argument had an illegal value > 0: if INFO = i, U(i,i) is exactly zero. The factorization has been completed, but the factor U is exactly singular, so the solution could not be computed. Therefore, the element U(2, 2) should be zero, but it is not.   I wrote this script for some basic screen capture; it gets the window dimensions then uses the ffmpeg binary to record. I suspect there is a better way (maybe with the ffmpeg library), but scripting is what I know and ffmpeg generally works.   In the 1.6 API, is there a way to ensure that the onStart() method of a Service is called after the service is killed due to memory pressure? From the logs, it seems that the "process" that the service belongs to is restarted, but the service itself is not. I have placed a Log.d() call in the onStart() method, and this is not reached. To test my service under memory pressure, I spawn it from an activity, then launch the web browser and visit some Javascript-heavy websites like Slashdot until my service is killed.   I've got 3 tables that are something like this (simplified here ofc): users user_id user_name info info_id user_id rate contacts contact_id user_id contact_data users has a one-to-one relationship with info, although info doesn't always have a related entry. users has a one-to-many relationship with contacts, although contacts doesn't always have related entries. I know I can grab the proper 'users' + 'info' with a left join, is there a way to get all the data I want at once? For example, one returned record might be: user_id: 5 user_name: tom info_id: 1 rate: 25.00 contact_id: 7 contact_data: 555-1212 contact_id: 8 contact_data: 555-1315 contact_id: 9 contact_data: 555-5511 Is this possible with a single query? Or must I use multiple?

  Hi, I have maven project that fails when release:perform is called, though release;prepare works as expected. From reading the bug report the possible cause of the error is related to my modules' structure, I've tried to outline it below: /workspace | |+ pom.xml (root pom whose parent is the build pom, | calling release:perform on this pom) | [Modules: moduleA and moduleB] | |- moduleA |+ pom.xml (parent is also build pom) |+ build/pom.xml (the build pom - no custom parent) |- moduleB |+ pom.xml (parent is build pom) It seems that the root pom should be in some common directory inside 'workspace' from the error but tried that and doesn't work, nor make sense as to why I need it. What does the warning Base directory is a file want me to do instead?! It then figures that the base directory is workspace which then means the working directory is not found...any ideas? I create a table below with an xml column and declare a variable, initialize it and Insert the Value into the xml column, create table CustomerInfo (XmlConfigInfo xml) declare @StrTemp nvarchar(2000) set @StrTemp = '<Test></Test>' insert into [CustomerInfo](XmlConfigInfo) values (@StrTemp) Then comes the part of the question,, if I write this... update [CustomerInfo] set XmlConfigInfo.modify('insert <Info></Info> into (//Test)[1]') -- Works Fine!!! but when I try this, set @StrTemp = 'insert <Info></Info> into (//Test)[1]' update [CustomerInfo] set XmlConfigInfo.modify(@StrTemp) -- Doesn't Work!!! and throws an error The argument 1 of the xml data type method "modify" must be a string literal. is there a way around for this one? I tried this, but it is not working :(

  Hello StackOverflow Experts Description I have an SWT Page with a TabFolder with a number of dynamically created TabItems. On each TabItem i crate a Composite and set the TabItem.setControl() to the Composite. I then use this Composite as the page on which i draw my items. I draw a set of Controls, including Textbox's and Labels. For the First, Default Tab, this works fine. No problems. Problem On tabs that is not the first tab i have the following problems: I am unable to visually alter then Edited/Enabled state of my Controls. I am unable to visually set the Text content of my elements My Controls look disabled and have a Greyed out look. But i am able to Select the content with my mouse and use CTRL+C to copy it out. So the text contet is there and they are Editable. Visually it is just not updated. Any comments are appeciated, Any requests for code, examples will be supplied and help Welcommed. Updates I tried added the suggest debug loop to the code, where i attempt to enable my Controls.   I am doing a query that converts rows to columns similar to this post but have encountered a performance problem. Here is the query:- SELECT Info.Customer, Answers.Answer, Answers.AnswerDescription, Details.Code1, Details.Code2, Details.Code3 FROM Info LEFT OUTER JOIN Answers ON Info.AnswerID = Answers.AnswerID LEFT OUTER JOIN (SELECT ReferenceNo, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde1' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code1, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde2' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code2, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde3' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code3 FROM DetailsData GROUP BY ReferenceNo) Details ON Info.ReferenceNo = Details.ReferenceNo There are less than 300 rows returned, but the Details table is about 180 thousand rows. The query takes 45 seconds to run and needs to take only a few seconds. When I type show processlist; into MYSQL it is hanging on "Sending Data". Any thoughts as to what the performance problem might be?
