• Console Utility that can remote connect to other systems and issue commands

  Hi Frequenlty my work involves to VNC to a remote system and work on it. SInce i run command line apps on this remote system most of the time, i was wondering if there's an alternative software to command prompt which i could install on my local machine. Using this i should be able to create a session with the remote system and from then on all commands issued in command prompt should run in remote system. localHostdir -- should list the directory contents in remotehost active directory localhostapp.exe should run app.exe in remote host and display its contents in localhost command prompt I browsed a little and read about cmdlets in powershell. But it looks like i need to write a cmdlet for each app in the path (dir, mkdir, app.exe in the path). Correct me if am wrong. Once session is established, i simply need the commands invoked in local host to be run in the remote host and return the console output to local host. Please let me know if powershell + cmdlets are the only way THanks

• Keep TabItems in a TabControl from repositioning?

  Hi everyone, In WPF, Is there a simple way to stop TabItems in a TabControl from being repositioned when the selected TabItem changes? So that clicking on a TabItem would simply display its contents, but not reposition the TabItems as it usually does (by moving the selected TabItem to the bottom row of tabs if it wasn't there already). Edit: To clarify, I do want the tabs to be displayed in multiple rows, I just don't want the tab headers to be repositioned when a TabItem from a row other than the bottom row is selected. I'd like the collection of headers to remain completely static, but for the contents of that TabItem to still be displayed when its header is clicked. Thanks!

Remove all tables and their contents Remove everything after the first h1 tag Keep only paragraphs (INCLUDING their inner HTML (links, lists, etc)) I received an XSLT answer here, but I'm looking for XPATH queries that don't require external files. Currently, I've got the HTML in question loaded into a SimpleXmlElement via: $doc = @DOMDocument::loadHTML($xml); $data = simplexml_import_dom($doc); Now I need help with: $data = $data->xpath('??????'); Been working with this one for several days to no avail. I have used sort() method of dictionary but it doesnt give expected result. It just sort according to alphabatical order. In expected sorting order 1st priority should be to small letter then to capital letter then to number.

  I am using the h5py python package to read files in HDF5 format. (e.g. somefile.h5) I would like to write the contents of a dataset to a text file. For example, I would like to create a text file with the following contents: 1,20,31,75,142,324,78,12,3,90,8,21,1 I am able to access the dataset in python using this code: import h5py f = h5py.File('/Users/Me/Desktop/thefile.h5', 'r') group = f['/level1/level2/level3'] dset = group['dsetname'] My naive approach is too slow, because my dataset has over 20000 entries: # write all values to file for index in range(len(dset)): # do not add comma after last value if index == len(dset)-1: txtfile.write(repr(dset[index])) else: txtfile.write(repr(dset[index])+',') txtfile.close() return None Is there a faster way to write this to a file? Perhaps I could convert the dataset into a NumPy array or even a Python list, and then use some file-writing tool?   Hi, I have a listview in my Android Application. Now, when the user presses Next Button other contents will be loaded into the listview. What I want is that if there are no more contents available then there should be a toast displayed indicating that there are no more data available. Say, for example I have a total of 55 data available and I am displaying only 30 of them in one listview. So, when the user presses Next for the first time next 25 records will be visible. If the user again presses the Next button then a toast should be displayed on top of the last listview that had last 25 records. Currently I get an error as IndexOutOfBoundException : Invalid location 15 size is 1. Can someone suggest how is it possible? Regards Sunil

I'd like to change the border of the fieldset if the contents have been changed.   I've been googling around, and I can't find the answer I'm looking for. Say I have a file, text1.txt, in directory mydir whose contents are: one two and another called text2.txt, also in mydir, whose contents are: two three four I'm trying to get a list of files (for a given directory) which contain all (not any) patterns I search for. In the example I provided, I'm looking for output somewhere along the lines of: ./text1.txt or ./text1.txt:one ./text1.txt:two The only things I've been able to find are concerning matching any patterns in a file, or matching multiple patterns in a single file (which I tried extending to a whole directory, but received grep usage errors). • EXCEL - Locking a Cell from User input whilst allowing a Linked combobox?

  I have a Protected Worksheet which is a checklist with a series of checkpoints. Each row has Item and Description cells that are locked. Each row has several columns with its contents to be set by a ComboBox and a text input column. Both i have left unlocked. I have Locked the the Item and Description columns and left only the 'Select Unlocked Cells' checked via Sheet Protection. I have one ComboBox on the worksheet that moves around and adjusts its LinkedCell and its Content list using the worksheets SelectionChanged event. When the user selects a cell to bring up the drop down list, the user is able to type into the cell and the Drop Down Box disappears. What is the best way to keep the cell unlocked so it can be selectable(as 'Select Locked Cells" is unchecked) however stop the user from being able to type in the cell and to allow the cells contents to become modifiable only via the ComboBox?

Now, the query is -- When i change the content of the hello.pl file, after exiting from oracle, and then logging again, It doesn't shows the updated contents, instead it shows the previous content.. I noticed that, if i drop the trigger and create it again, then it is working fine.. Why is it happening so.. And what is the solution to this problem..

• Best approach to update a control after an Ajax request?

  I have a webpage that fires off an Ajax request which stores some data to a database and I want to update the webpage so that the user can see their changes have been submitted. There are at least 3 ways I can think of accomplishing this: Immediately update the webpage with plain JavaScript by grabbing the contents of the user's inputted text and immediately inserting it where it belongs. Have the ajax call return the stored text as the response, grab the response, and then insert this text where it belongs on the page using JavaScript Have the ajax call return a flag (say, true for successful db write, false otherwise), and if the flag is true, use JavaScript to grab the user's contents from the input control and insert it where it belongs elsewhere on the page Or another method not mentioned...? I don't mean this to be subjective, I just don't know which would be the best method to apply. My instinct tells me to go with the third item (return a flag, then update the field). Is this the best way? Thanks
