When i dont set originatingactivityid,campaingresponse is created. Any suggestion about this problem.

• C# Desktop Application "Encounters an error and has to exit" on first run of the day

  Hello, It seems I tend to attract strange issues. This time, I have written a C# application, and handled most of the exceptions I can find. The problem is, when I run the installed/bundled version on any PC for the first time in a day (after the PC has been shut down and started after a while) it comes across some error and has to shutdown the application (even though the try-catch block surrounding the Main() does not fire). The application does not throw the same error on subsequent runs. I added an #if(!DEBUG) ... #else ... #endif surrounding the Main() code. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

  Hello again. I am wondering if anyone has used the userInteractionEnabled method on a UILabel to allow the label to act like a button (or just to fire off a method). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! Update (4/30/09 @1:07pm) Clarification: I have a standard InfoButton and next to it I want to place a label with the text "settings" and I would like the label to function like the button (which flips over to a settings screen. So, basically I need to tie the already defined showSettinsView to the "infoLabel" label; a user clicks on the infoButton or infoLabel and the method fires off. The infoButton is already working and is using an IBAction to trigger the method. I would like to know how to wire up the label to implement the same method. That is all. Cheers!

• Where does Visual Studio stores the default browser to use in debug?

  Hi all, I'm using Firefox as my default browser but when working in Visual Studio, I'd like to fire up IE when I go in debug. We all know that in MVC application, there's no way to choose the default browser unless you add a web form file, right click it, select browse with and then force a browser to be the default one. Great. My simple question is: where does VS stores the browser I just tell him to use (registry? project file? some xml config file?) I'm asking because VS loose this preference several times a month. I'm fed up with making the brower trick again and again. Thanks in advance, Fabian

  I'm trying to figure out how to map against a simple read-only property and have that property fire when I save to the database. A contrived example should make this more clear. First, a simple table: meta = MetaData() foo_table = Table('foo', meta, Column('id', String(3), primary_key=True), Column('description', String(64), nullable=False), Column('calculated_value', Integer, nullable=False), ) What I want to do is set up a class with a read-only property that will insert into the calculated_value column for me when I call session.commit()... import datetime def Foo(object): def __init__(self, id, description): self.id = id self.description = description @property def calculated_value(self): self._calculated_value = datetime.datetime.now().second + 10 return self._calculated_value According to the sqlalchemy docs, I think I am supposed to map this like so: mapper(Foo, foo_table, properties = { 'calculated_value' : synonym('_calculated_value', map_column=True) }) The problem with this is that _calculated_value is None until you access the calculated_value property. It appears that SQLAlchemy is not calling the property on insertion into the database, so I'm getting a None value instead. What is the correct way to map this so that the result of the "calculated_value" property is inserted into the foo table's "calculated_value" column?

• Visual Studio 2008. MFC event wizard broken

  OK, so it's almost a programming question - The VS2008 dialog event wizard has stopped working. Double-clicking on a button in an MFC dialog project does not fire the wizard as usual and a right-click to get to the 'Add Event Handler...' shows a dialog with no message types. Further to this the MFC message mapping and virtual class listing that generally appears in the properties window (Alt + Enter) is now empty. Has anyone elese seen this and if so, how'd they fix it?   Hi all, I am new to Entity Framework and please pardon my ignorance. We have a simple application written using SQL Server and ADO.Net. Now we have got a new requirement that, whenever a particular rows get updated by our application, some business logic has to happen. I have been looking into Triggers in SQL server and it looks like we can do it using triggers. I am also looking at Entity Framework's OnPropertyChange capability. Is it possible to do it with "OnPropertyChange"? I mean, Can I create a model and implement "OnPropertyChange" method? And when our application modifies the rows using ADO.Net, then will it fire "OnPropertyChange" event so that my custome code in "OnPropertyChange" excutes?   I'm familiar with the following: "If the operation raises an exception that your code does not handle, the BackgroundWorker catches the exception and passes it into the RunWorkerCompleted event handler, where it is exposed as the Error property of System.ComponentModel.RunWorkerCompletedEventArgs. If you are running under the Visual Studio debugger, the debugger will break at the point in the DoWork event handler where the unhandled exception was raised." However, I've encountered a weird glitch. In my component, there's an instance of BackgroundWorker. Even though it's not running in the debugger, the exception remains unhandled by the worker. Even simplified code produces an unhandled exception (and RunWorkerCompleted doesn't fire): Throw New ArgumentException("Test") The main thing is the code of RunWorkerComplete: RaiseEvent UpdateComplete(Me, New AsyncCompletedEventArgs(e.Error, e.Cancelled, e.Result)) I need the component to expose the worker exception through a public event. If I remove the RaiseEvent call, the exception becomes handled by the worker, and accessible through e.Error. Apparently, raising an event causes the worker to miss the exception. How can that be?

  I am developing a bookmarklet that requires a specific version of jQuery be loaded on the page. When I have to dynamically insert a jQuery script tag to meet the requirments of the bookmarklet I want to wait for the onload or onreadystatechange event on the script tag before executing any function that requires jQuery. For some reason the onload and/or onreadystatechange events do not fire. • What's the reason both Image and Bitmap classes don't implement a custom equality/hashcode logic?

  From MSDN documentation, it seems as both GetHashCode() and Equals() haven't been overriden in Bitmap. Neither have them been overriden in Image. So both classes are using the Object's version of them just compares references. I wasn't too convinced so I decided to fire up Reflector to check it out. It seems MSDN is correct in that matter. So, is there any special reason why MS guys wouldn't implement "comparison logic", at least for the Bitmap class? I find it is kinda acceptable for Image, as it is an abstract class, but not so much for the Bitmap class. I can see in a lot of situations calculating the hash code can be an expensive operation, but it'd be alright if it used some kind of lazy evaluation (storing the computed hash code integer in a variable a variable, so it wouldn't have to calculate it later again). When wanting to compare 2 bitmaps, will I have to resort to having to run all over the picture comparing each one of its pixels? Thanks

• cant start glassfish within netbeans

  when i click on Run it displays and error message: Starting GlassFish v3 Domain GlassFish v3 Domain start failed. /Volumes/Private/noname/Sites/projects/java/MyFirstServlet/nbproject/build-impl.xml:602: Deployment error: GlassFish v3 Domain start failed. See the server log for details. BUILD FAILED (total time: 2 minutes 0 seconds) but then i fire up Terminal in mac and use asadmin start-domain and it starts. and in netbeans i then Run the project and it fires up Safari and displays the content. but why cant glassfish start in netbeans? any idea?

• Javascript image change causes embeded UserControls to flicker

  I have a n html page being displayed in IE. It has some buttons made up of images with mouseover/mouseout events on them in JavaScript, and a bunch of embedded .Net UserControls. When the mouseover/mouseout events fire, I change the images src to something else (simple rollover effect). The problem is that the UserControls often (but not always) flicker when this happens. To be clear, the images don't flicker, and the rest of the page doesn't flicker, just the embedded controls. This page is local, not coming from a server or anything. So, any ideas? More information : I've noticed that highlighting text does it too...

• onclick event not working after ie7 reload

  I am using Javascript to dynamically create part of my page content. A routine that generates a set of img tags is called from the window.onload event. Those img tags are assigned attributes, including an onclick event. The img tags host thumbnail images that, when clicked, change the src property of the image in the main view div. Everything works properly in FF 3.5. I can reload the page and the dynamically generated onclick events continue to fire as expected. In IE7 everything works normally until I reload the page. At that point events that were hard coded into the xhtml section continue to work as expected, and the dynamically generated img tags are shown on the page, but their onclick events fail to work. How can I get IE7 to implement the dynamically generated click events on reload?

  I would like to make an app that will download videos files that can be played later. At first i thought I could have a UIWeb view and then try to access the cache of it and get the file that way but unfortunately i don't have access to that. After trying that my next thought would be get the direct link to the video file. Essentially what download helper does on fire fox. Any idea of where i could look at for help or any body have any better idea? Is there any stringByEvaluatingjavascript that might be of use or is there away to access the cache on a webview in your own app? Thanks for any help!

• How do I distinguish a SharePoint file update as being from a file upload?

  In SharePoint, when an item is first added to a document library, it fires the ItemAdded and ItemAdding events as expected. And if you upload the same filename to update the existing file, it will fire off ItemUpdated and ItemUpdating events, likewise as expected. However, I have been unsuccessful at determining whether this kind of action has actually occurred or not. Or, more specifically, I am entirely unable to differentiate between the following: An item is updated because someone uploaded a new file but did nothing to any of the form fields. An item is updated because someone hit "OK" but did nothing to any of the form fields. Is there actually a way to distinguish these kinds of updates? There appears to be nothing in event properties that contains this information, nor in the version history for both the list item and the file itself. I have even tried comparing the files themselves via OpenBinary(), but in both mentioned cases I still get the same result. Thank you in advance for any help!

I also know that if the objects in the bindinglist implement Inotifypropertychanged then if the obects are changed outside the grid then the objects will notify the bindlist which will then notify the datagrid My question is: If the datagrid view changing an object, I want the bindinglist or changed object to fire an event that allows me to pass the object to a WCF service that will persist the object on the data access layer side e.g. Service.Save(ChangedObject) How would I go about doing this?

  I know I can use activate_plugin() from inside a given, active plugin in WordPress, to activate another plugin. But what I want to know is how do I programmatically check if that plugin is already active? For instance, this snippet of code can be temporarily added to an existing plugin's initial file to activate a partner plugin: add_action('wp','activatePlugins'); function activatePlugins() { if( is_single() || is_page() || is_home() || is_archive() || is_category() || is_tag()) { @ activate_plugin('../mypartnerplugin/thepluginsmainfile.php'); } } Then, use a Linux command line tool to spider all your sites that have this code, and it will force a page view. That page view will cause the above code to fire and activate that other plugin. That's how to programmatically activate another plugin from a given plugin as far as I can tell. But the problem is that it gets activated over and over and over again. What would be great is if I had an if/then condition and some function I could call in WordPress to see if that plugin is already activated, and only activate it once if not active.

  Im currently uploading data to MS SQL server via SQLBulkCopy and Transactions. I would like to be able to raise an event after each batch has been uploaded (I have already tried SQLRowsCopied event and it doesnt work, see quote below) MSDN quote: No action, such as transaction activity, is supported in the connection during the execution of the bulk copy operation, and it is recommended that you not use the same connection used during the SqlRowsCopied event.   So i get the gist of $.delegate and I know why it's doing what it's doing, but I'm wondering if there is a work around. I have link elements that contain spans like so: <a href='#'> <span>Person Name</span> <span>Person Info</span> </a> I use the following code in jQuery for event delegation: containerElement.delegate('click','a',function(){...}); The trouble is that this only triggers when I click on white space not occupied by a span. I know it does this because delegate simply compares the event target to 'a' to check if it should fire the delegate, however I want to include the spans as well, pretty much anything inside the <a>...</a> what do?
