  I have a RadioButtonList with two ListItems included: <asp:RadioButtonList runat="server" ID="optRollover" OnSelectedIndexChanged="RolloverOptionSelected" AutoPostBack="true"> <asp:ListItem Value="0">100% </asp:ListItem> <asp:ListItem Value="1">Less than 100%</asp:ListItem> </asp:RadioButtonList><br /> On the first ListItem I need to have a label that displays some text from the code behind of the page. Logically it seems to me like I would be able to do something like this: 100% Obviously this does not work because I am getting an error: The 'Text' property of 'asp:ListItem' does not allow child objects. Can anyone think of a way around this constraint?

  Hi, I'm using an editor control of ajaxcontroltoolkit. <cc1:Editor ID="EditNews" runat="server" NoUnicode="true" Height="500px" Width="98%"/> My problem is that when I try to get the content of Editor by: Literal1.Text = EditNews.Content; if in the editor there are breakLine for example "If I write" Text Text Text Text In Literal I get: Text Text Text Text Whitout breakLine. I don't know if this problem depends by an attribute that I haven't set in Editor or I have to control this "" in Code Behind. Thanks for help

• CheckboxList not setting Selected with Viewstate disabled

  I have a CheckboxList that seems to load and do everything right, except for when I do a postback, it will not have the Item.Selected property set. I have viewstate disabled for the entire page. I load it like so(inside Page_Load on every load): foreach (DataRow service in d.Tables[0].Rows) { cblServices.Items.Add(new ListItem((string)service["description"], service["id"].ToString())); } My markup is simple: <asp:CheckBoxList runat="server" ID="cblServices" Width="300px"></asp:CheckBoxList> and then, I use basically something like this(in a _Click serverside event for a button) foreach(ListItem item in cblServices.Items){ if(item.Selected){ MyLabel.Text+="selected: "+item.Value+item.Text; } } and MyLabel never has any text added to it. I can verify with the debugger that it does reach the _Click's foreach loop, but no item is ever selected. What could be the cause of this?

  Hi I am getting DateString in JavaScript from the TextBox like, var dateString = document.getElementById('<%= txtEffDate.ClientID %>').value; dateString value may be in following format. en-US - "4/29/2010" fr-FR - "29/04/2010" de-DE - "29.04.2010" it-IT - "29/04/2010" es-ES - "29/04/2010" zh-CN - "2010/4/29" ja-JP - "2010/04/29" sv-SE - "2010-04-29" And converting this to Date Object as follows, var d1 = new Date(dateString); though its giving me the wrong result like for fr-FR "29/04/2010" == "Fri May 4 00:00:00 UTC+0530 2012" Which is completely irrelevant, How should I get the correct Date ? • TreeView nodes always have .Checked=true on postback even when not checked in UI

  I have a treeview in my .aspx: <asp:TreeView ID="tvDocCatAndType" runat="server" /> Not much else going on in the page -- two <asp:LinkButtons> and one <asp:Label>; the page is a child of a master page, so these controls are within a <asp:Content> control. I populate the treeview in code -- just 3 node levels, including the root node. All nodes have checkboxes, and I initialize all node.Checked to true. I have some Javascript to do the usual check/uncheck up and down the tree as parent and child node checkboxes are toggled. No matter how many checkboxes I clear in the UI, on postback every single node has node.Checked = true regardless of the state of the checkbox in the UI. This is not the first time I've used a treeview, but I've never had this problem before. I created this page by light adaptation of an earlier project that works fine.   Hi everybody!! I have one dropdownlist like this bellow.. the problem is that if I have more than 30 ListItem the list will have 30 elements/rows display and the rest to scroll. Is there a way to show only 10 elements and scroll the rest? I read in some pages that this is not possible.   I am currently playing with DotNetOpenAuth to make an ASP.NET (C#) website use OpenID instead of the normal login-password routine for user and session handling. Up till now, I have added the DotNetOpenAuth.dll into my project and tried a test login page with the following: <rp:OpenIdLogin ID="OpenIdLogin1" runat="server" /> When I run the page, I enter a valid myopenid url and the website redirects to the myopenid page, where I enter my password, and upon success, it returns back to my default.aspx, due to the following in my web.config: <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms defaultUrl="/Default.aspx" loginUrl="~/Login.aspx"/> </authentication> Now that the user is "logged in", how can handle my session? At the moment, I don't know how I can, for example, check if the session is still alive or how to terminate the session. My basic question is, how can I manage the session once the user is authenticated with OpenID ?

• SelectedValue of DropDownList is not the one I selected when Enabled=false

  Hiya, I have a few DropDownLists on a webform each pointing to a SqlDataSource. Some of these datasources use one of these DropDownLists for a select parameter, filtering the list to specific categories. For certain users two of these DropDownLists are to be automatically set and disabled. When I submit the form with the drop downs enabled it works fine but when they are disabled the SelectedValue of the DropDownList is being reset to the first one in the list. My DropDownLists are constructed as follows: <asp:DropDownList ID="ddlManager" runat="server" DataSourceID="dsManagers" EnableViewState="false" DataValueField="ManagerID" DataTextField="MgrName" AppendDataBoundItems="false" ondatabound="ddlManager_DataBound" > The drop down lists add an extra item on the data bound event as follows: protected void ddlManager_DataBound(object sender, EventArgs e) { this.ddlManager.Items.Insert(0, new ListItem("--Manager--", "--Manager--")); } Can anyone shed any light as to why this is happening? • CSS button not styling

  Hey, I must be missing something obvious, but can someone explain what I'm doing wrong with my CSS? I would like all buttons to have a certain format, except a few. I was expecting to use CssClass in order to override the few that should be different, but they all seem to use the standard one. My CSS: .btn { border:none; background-color:red; } input[type="submit"] { border: 2px solid black; background-color:green; } All the buttons take the second value (green background, with a border). However, I have this button: <asp:Button ID="btnAdd" CssClass="btn" runat="server" Text="Add" /> I was expecting this to have no border, and a red background, but it's the same as every other button. • Passing more than one argument in asp.net button in gridview

  I have a TemplateField column in a gridview with a button inside of it. There is NO key value (surely that was not designed by me) , but in the other hand there aren't redundancies when comparing each single column, because they are events, and there is "starting date" and "ending date" of something that could not happen twice at the same time. I've already figured selecting with these values and all, but I just want the button to pass about five arguments to a given function. I've tested: <asp:Button CommandArgument='<%# Eval("day")%>' ID="Button2" runat="server" Text="Button" /> And it works properly, the day of the clicked row is passed, and could be retrieved through: e.CommandArgument.ToString(); in the GridView_RowCommand handler. How do I pass more than one argument? I've thought about concatenating with a separating character (wouldn't be that bad) but besides not knowing how to do it yet (didn't want to invest in a poor solution) I want a smarter one.
