I've decided to teach myself C# by writing a music player in Visual Studio 2010. I went with WPF because from what I hear it sounds like it will be a good base to skin from.
I want to program my window with the behavior where if the window comes to the edge of a screen (within 10px or so) it will snap to the screen edge. What's the best way to go about this?
I am using this code to slide the image down when window is scroled down but nothing is happenning

Is there a signal that is emitted when a window/dialog is presented in GTK+?
Example: when issuing this command to the GTK widget dialog:
dialog.present()
is there a resulting signal? Or is there any signal that denotes the "showing" of a window/dialog?

I'm opening a sheet on a window , the first time the sheet opens
correctly, but if I close it, and try to open again it doesn't work, I
just get the system alert sound.
- (IBAction) showSpeedSheet:(id)sender
{
[NSApp beginSheet:addEditPackagePanel
modalForWindow:[[NSApp delegate] window]
modalDelegate:nil
didEndSelector:nil
contextInfo:nil];
}
-(IBAction)endSpeedSheet:(id)sender
{
[NSApp endSheet:addEditPackagePanel];
[addEditPackagePanel orderOut:sender];
}

Is there a way (without binding to the window.resize event) to force a floating DIV to re-center itself when the browser window is resized?
To help explain, I imagine the pseudocode would look something like:
div.left = 50% - (div.width / 2)
div.top = 50% - (div.height / 2)
I'm looking to put an application window behind all other windows.
I was thinking of using .NET 4 and WPF or Silverlight.
I don't have any specific drawing code, I just want my application window as my desktop wallpaper while retaining the interactivity (no mucking around with screenshots etc).
Is this even possible and if so, how?
Edit: I'm using Windows 7 x64.
I have a window that has scroll bar styles so it has its own scrollbars. I want something to happen when the mouse hovers over the scroll bars, but handling the window's mouse move doesn't do the trick. How can I handle the scrollbars' mousemove event?
Thanks

I want my window to always maintain a certain ratio of let's say 1.33333333. So, if the window is width = 800, height = 600 and the user changes the width to 600, I want to change the height to 450 automatically.
I'm already intercepting WM_SIZE but I don't know if it's enough; also I don't know how to change the width or height to maintain my ratio.
I am totally stuck on this, i want to implement Scroll Bar Less Scrolling Window. can some one provide me some hint on how to implement scrolling window using GtkViewport.

Is it easy to implement or it is very very complected?

I'm making a small Windows Forms application that contains a lot of grid views. I want all the grid views to resize with the window. I could make a function that detects window resize and then changes the size of each grid view but that feels a bit clunky. Is there not an easier/more intelligent way to do this
Using bindInfoWindowHtml to create an info window on a Google map, any images in the info window with a title attribute don't show it on hover in Firefox 3.6. They do show up correctly in IE8 and Chrome.

I want to create multiple versions of print-friendly pages from a single page. I am considering to do it in this way: placing several buttons on the original page and, clicking one button will popup a new window with the same html as its parent window, but with some modifications (e.g., set display attribute of some DIV's to none).
It is possible to use javascript to do this?
I have the following code to copy files
sprintf(command, "copy /Y %s %s", sourceFile, targetFile);
system(command);
It works except for the dos window showing up which is very annoying.
I am trying to use CreateProcess() (with an #ifdef for WINNT), but not sure how to setup the command line for the same.
Any other options for copying files in C (on windows) without showing dos window?
