  • Is it possible to run an ng-switch directly on a select > option

    Has anyone been able to run an ng-switch on a <select> -> <option> tag, like so?: <select ng-model="form.permitLocality" ng-switch on="localityTypeRadio"> <option ng-switch-when="County" ng-repeat="county in countyList"> {{ county.name }} </option> <option ng-switch-when="City" ng-repeat="city in cityList"> {{ city.name }} </option> <option ng-switch-when="Town" ng-repeat="town in townList"> {{ town.name }} </option> </select> I am not getting any errors or any options (all values verified), I just thought it would save me a couple lines and thought I'd try it.   • Having trouble with binding

    I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding the binding in Flex. I'm using Cairngorm framework. I have the following component with code like: [Bindable] var _model:LalModelLocator = LalModelLocator.getInstance(); .... <s:DataGroup dataProvider="{_model.friendsSearchResults}" includeIn="find" itemRenderer="com.lal.renderers.SingleFriendDisplayRenderer"> <s:layout> <s:TileLayout orientation="columns" requestedColumnCount="2" /> </s:layout> </s:DataGroup> in the model locator: [Bindable] public var friendsSearchResults:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection(); Inside the item renderer there is a button that calls a command and inside the command results there is a line like this: model.friendsSearchResults = friendsSearchResults; Putting break points and stepping through the code I confirmed that this like gets called and the friendsSearchResults gets updated. To my understanding if I update a bindable variable it should automatically re-render the s:DataGroup which has a dataProvider of that variable.

    Hi, I have an entity model, in which I have a table per type inheritance. There are 3 types, first, Contact, which I defined as abstract in my EF model and the rest are Company and person types which are derived from contact type. Is it possible to perform an insert using ado.net dataservice and asp.net ajax library? I was trying the following client code : dataContext.insertEntity(person, "Contacts"); I was getting this response from server : Error processing request stream. Type information must be specified for types that take part in inheritance. Thanks.

    Hello, In my GWT app I have the following model class: import com.google.gwt.user.client.rpc.IsSerializable; public class TestEntity implements IsSerializable { public String testString; } This class implements the GWT custom IsSerializable marker interface - which I really don't like, because I use my model classes not only for GWT. So I prefer java.io.Serializable. But if I modify the class to implement Serializable instead of IsSerializable, the GWT RPC mechanism doesn't work anymore. I don't get an error on the server side, but on the client AsyncCallback.onFailure is invoked. I am using... GWT 1.7.0. Spring 2.5.6.SEC01 Spring and GWT are configured as described here.

  • In a Rails unit test, how can I get a User fixture to load its associated Profile?

    In the documentation concerning Fixtures (http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/Fixtures.html) they provide the following example of using label references for associations: ### in pirates.yml reginald: name: Reginald the Pirate monkey: george ### in monkeys.yml george: name: George the Monkey pirate: reginald So following their lead, I have a User model that has_one :profile, a Profile model that belongs_to :user, and tried to set up fixtures per their example: ### in users.yml reginald: id: 1 login: reginald ### in profiles.yml reginalds_profile: id: 1 name: Reginald the Pirate user: reginald (Note: since my association is one-way, the User fixture doesn't have a "profile: reginalds_profile" association--putting it in causes an error because the SQL table has no profile_id attribute.) The problem is, in my unit tests everything seems to load correctly, but users(:reginald).profile is always nil. What am I missing?

The Extension method looks like this: using System; using System.Runtime.CompilerServices; using System.Web.Mvc; namespace MvcBookApplication { public static class HtmlHelperExtensions { public static string JQueryGenerator(this HtmlHelper htmlHelper, string formName, object model); } } We use the extension method in our view like this: <%=Html.JQueryGenerator("createmessage", ViewData.Model)%> The problem is, that line of code says JQueryGenerator isn't a recognized method of HtmlHelper. I believe we've got the correct references set in the web project, but are there other things we can check? There's no using statement for views, is there?

What I really want is a simple SDK that works with a lot of inexpensive fingerprint readers but I can deal with something that works only with one specific model if that model is cheap and available worldwide. And it has to be royalty-free, I can pay for a development license but if I have to pay for each installation I just can't use it. What I'm doing has no relation to login or encryption, so the software included with the reader will probably be useless to me.

  • SQL Server 2005 and 'General network error'

    I know there is a lot of information in the Internet about solving this problem, but it didn't help me. My Delphi application uses dbExpress controls to access the database and execute SQL queries. Once every couple of days, however, it stops working because the database connection fails. This happens on several different computers with different versions of Windows. MSSQL Server 2005 (version 9.0.4035) is installed on each of them. The above mentioned application executes queries every couple of seconds, and they are mainly insert commands. Every couple of days I get a series of exceptions like the following one: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (PreLoginHandshake()).]General network error. Check your network documentation. And then the SQL server becomes inaccessible until I restart it manually. The information I found in the Internet say that I should install some service packs, change some registry entries etc., but believe me, none of these helps and I don't know what else to do now. Could you please help me solve this problem? Any clues or ideas? I can give you some more information about the server or the application if necessary. Thank you very much in advance.

Anonymous type members must be declared with a member assignment, simple name or member access. It works when I use data_details, but I guess it need to be starting with "data-" as per the spec. My questions: Is there any way to get this working and use HTML5 data attributes with Html.ActionLink or similar Html helpers ? Is there any other alternative mechanism to attach custom data to an element? This data is to be processed later by JS.

    Hi, I'm trying to change the default value of a foreignkey-formfield to set a Value of an other model depending on the logged in user. But I'm racking my brain on it...     TFS 2008, VS 2008. I have a tfsbuild.proj and tfsbuild.msp file in $/MyStuff/TeamBuildTypes/Dev folder. I have a targets file at $/MyStuff/TeamBuildTypes/IncludeFiles/Common/test.xml. test.xml contains an XML fragment that overrides the BeforeGet task. I tried to get the file into my tfsbuild.proj file like this: <Import Project="$/MyStuff/TeamBuildTypes/IncludeFiles/Common/test.xml" /> The build fails because it tries to get the file from a relative path that is way off. How can I specify external/include files from an explicit TFS "remote" path? Thanks.

The data looks like this: 1,4,11,31,2,4,7 I have a model called Items which has two values - id and priority. Upon getting this post request, how can I set the priority of the Item depending upon the list order. So my data in the db would look like. 1,1 4,2 11,3 31,4 2,5 4,6 7,7 Thanks guys.

    Hi, I'm trying to comprehend ontology basics. Here's an example: car (class) 2009 VW CC (sub-class or instance?) My neighbor's 2009 VW CC (instance) My issue is understanding what is "2009 VW CC" (as a car model). If you're making product model a sub-class in the ontology - all of a sudden your ontology becomes bloated with thousands of subclasses of a "car". That's redundant. At the same time we can't say "2009 VW CC" is an instance, at least it's not material instance of a class. Does it make sense to distinguish between regular instances and material (distinct physical objects)? At the other hand, if both are instances (of different nature so to say), then how can instance inherit properties / relations of a non-class?

  • Why does ASP.Net locks when I update code with TortoiseSVN

    Hi, when I update Adobe Flash/Flex code that is not related to ASP.Net with TortoiseSVN (latest) on a Windows Server 2008, the complete website locks and stop responding. Is it ASP.Net recompiling my code, is it IIS 7 or is it Tortoise locking the file system? How can I prevent or minimize this if I need to do an update when 1000 users are using the ASP.Net website? UPDATE: Thanks to Aito and Bryan, I learned more about AppDomain. I found these two links where I discover that folder creation/deletion recycle the AppDomain in ASP.Net 2. --If TortoiseSVN creates folders in it's hidden .svn folders hierarchy, I guess it will lock the app!   • Rails and Searchlogic: finding products that matching all given product categories by using searchlo

    I have a model Publication and a model Category in my Rails app. Both are connected with a has_and_belongs_to_many association. Now I would like to search publications that match one or more categories. If more than one category is given they have all assigned to the publication. I want to specify the categories in a multiple select_box. Publication.released.categories_id_is([1,2]) is not working because the categories are connected with OR. With Publication.categories_id_is_all([1,2]) the categories are connected with AND, but no result is given back. Any idea's on that? Am I mising the right point in the docs.   • MVC.NET UpdateModel doesn't update inherited public properties??

    I refactored some common properties into a base class and immediately my model updates started failing. UpdateModel() and TryUpdateModel() do not seem to update inherited public properties. I cannot find detailed info on MSDN nor Google as to the rules or semantics of these methods. The docs are terse (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd470933.aspx), simply stating: Updates the specified model instance using values from the controller's current value provider. Well that leads us to believe it is as simple as that. It makes no mention of limitations with inheritance. My assumption is the methods are reflecting on the top class only, ignoring base properties, but this seems to be an ugly shortcoming, if so.

This class will replace the Model during the development of the page. It will also hold some test data for the user to have the chance to see some results.   • linq query - The method or operation is not implemented.

    I'm doing the Rob Conery mvc storefront and at one place I'm suppose to get categories but I get an error with this linq query and I can not get why. I have checked and the culturename actually gets data from the database. Appricate your help
