    Hello, I would like to intercept any request made to the server for XML files. I thought that it might be possible with an HttpHandler. It's coded and it works... on localhost only (?!?!). So, why is it working on localhost only? However, the mapping for IIS have been done correctly.

  • Testing a Doctrine2 Entity with assertEquals results in fatal out-of-memory error

    I have a PHPUnit test that's using a Doctrine2 custom repository and Doctrine Fixtures. I wanted to test that a query gave me back an expected entity from my fixture. But when I try $this->assertEquals($expectedEntity, $result);, I get Fatal error: out of memory. I'm guessing it is recursing into all the relations and the entity manager and whatnot. Is there a good way to test this equality? Should I just assertEquals on the IDs of the entities?

  • Non RBAC User Roles and Permissions System: a role with properties

    We are currently designing a User Roles and Permissions System in our web application (ASP.NET), and it seems that we have several cases that do no fit within the classical Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). I will post several questions, each devoted to a particular case. This is my second question (the first question is here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2839797/non-rbac-user-roles-and-permissions-system-checking-the-users-city). We have the following case: we need to implement a Manager role in our web application. However, a Manager can belong to one or several companies (within a big group of companies for which we are creating this web app). Say, there can be “Manager of companies A and B”, “Manager of company C”, etc. Depending on the companies that the Manager belongs, he has access to certain operations: for example, he can communicate with clients only of those companies that he belongs to. That is, “Manager of companies A and B” can only have contacts with clients of companies A and B, and not with those of company C. He can also view clients’ details pages of companies A and B and not of C, etc. It seems that this case falls within the RBAC. However, this is not really the case. We will need to create a ManagerRole class that will have a Companies property – that is, this will not be just a role as a collection of permissions (like in the classical RBAC), but a role with properties! This was just one example of a role having properties. There will be others: for example, an Administrator role that will also belong to a number of companies and will also have other custom properties. This means that we will a hierarchy or roles classes: class Role – base class class ManagerRole : Role List Companies class AdministratorRole : Role List Companies Other properties We investigated pure RBAC and its implementation in several systems, and found no systems featuring a hierarchy or roles, each having custom properties. In RBAC, roles are just collections of permissions. We could model our cases using permission with properties, like ManagerPermission, AdministratorPermission, but this has a lot of drawbacks, the main being that we will not be able to assign a role like “Manager of Companies A and B” to a user directly, but will have to create a role containing a ManagerPermission for companies A and B… Moreover, a "Manager" seems to be rather a "role" (position in the company) rather than a "permission" from the linguistic point of view. Would be grateful for any ideas on this subject, as well as any experience in this field! Thank you.

  • Using open2300 with Ubuntu

    Hello, I am currently running Ubuntu 8.10 and have been trying to use Open2300 to read data from a Lacrosse WS-2310 weather station and report it to the WUnderground server. The program compiles fine but when I try to run it, it does one of two things: usually it pauses for about 4 minutes, then prints "could not reset" to the screen. But sometimes it just hangs forever. It seems like my computer is unable to communicate with the weather station. I have set the serial port as /dev/ttyS0 in the open2300.conf file and i have also tried /dev/ttyS1, /dev/ttyS2, etc with the same result. As far as I can tell, there are no other settings regarding how Open2300 communicates with the device. Is my serial port locked somehow? It could be something as simple as an incorrect configuration for my serial port or something, but I would have no idea how to check that or change the configuration.   • ListView/ListAdapter paging

    I'm trying to implement paging in a custom ListAdapter. Right now I'm just making the request for the next page when the last item in the ListView becomes visible, by checking in getView() if position is >= the size of ListAdapter.getCount(). It works fine, but I'm wondering if there's a better way (or a different way) that will only make the request once the last item in the list is actually visible to the user. Anyone know of a way?

    Hi, I'm trying to execute with Maven some test written using Ant tasks. I generated the files required to import the task into Maven, but I can't execute them.     I've been trying to track the progress of a file upload but keep on ending up at dead ends (uploading from a C# application not a webpage). So I tried using HttpWebRequest to stream the data instead (I know this is not the exact equivalent of a file upload as it does not produce multipart/form-data content but it does serve to illustrate my problem). I also tried setting SendChunked to true (with and without setting the ContentLength as well). It seems like the data still gets cached before being sent over the network. Is there something wrong with one of these approaches or is there perhaps another way I can track the progress of file uploads from a windows application?

For this to work, it is necessary to specify a ABPeoplePickerNavigationControllerDelegate on the ViewController. The problem is that I am creating all fields and buttons dynamically runtime, and thus does not have any custom ViewController - using only UIViewController class. My question is then - how can I specify the delegate runtime without having to create a ViewController class just for this purpose.

    The Problem I've got a Cocoa project on the desktop and I'm using Xcode 3.2.1 on Snow Leopard 10.6.2. I want to generate code coverage files for my Unit Test Target in Xcode. What I've Tried As articles like this one suggest, I've adjusted the build settings to: “Generate Test Coverage Files” checked “Instrument Program Flow” checked “-lgcov” added to “Other Linker Flags” I've also set the Run Script section of the test target to have the following: # Run the unit tests in this test bundle. I've tried cleaning before building. I've made sure all the above build settings apply to both the Unit Test Target and the Application Target. What I Get No .gcda or .gcno files anywhere in the build directory I'm using. I point CoverStory to the Objects-normal directory in my builds folder and it complains that there's nothing there for it to read. I must be doing something really obvious wrong. Anyone any ideas? I have tried the "EngineTests.build" directory being ${FRAMEWORK_NAME} and this gives the same results.

  • WCF identity when moving from dev to prod. environment

    I have a web service developed with WCF. In the development environment the endpoint has the following identity section under the endpoint configuration. <identity> <dns value="myservice.devdomain.local" /> </identity> myservice.devdomain.local is the dns name used to reach the development version of the service. The binding used is: <basicHttpBinding> <binding name ="myBinding"> <security mode ="TransportCredentialOnly"> <transport clientCredentialType="Windows"/> </security> </binding> </basicHttpBinding> I am about to put this into production. The binding will be the same, but the address will be a new production address myservice.proddomain.local. I have planned to change the dns value in the configuration to myservice.proddomain.local in the production environment. However this MSDN article on WCF Identity makes me worried about the impact on the clients when I change the identity. There are two clients - one .NET and one Java using this service. Both of those have been developed against the dev instance of the service. The idea is to just reconfigure the endpoint used by the clients, without reloading the WSDL. But if the identity is somehow part of the WSDL and the identity changes when deploying to prod that might not work. Will the new identity in the prod version cause issues for the clients that were developed using the dev wsdl? Do the Java and the .NET clients handle this differently?

I sometimes need to create other repository instances within controllers, to pick up data from other places, can I do this using the CW IoC, if so then how? I have been playing around with the creation of new controller classes, as they should auto-register with my existing code (if I can get this working, I can register them properly later) but when I try to instantiate them there is an obvious objection as I can't supply a repos class for the constructor (I was pretty sure that was the wrong way to go about it anyway). As I like to have binding support I choosed to derive from DataGridtextColumn instead of using a DataGridTemplateColumn, here is the derived column class: Public Class DerivedColumn Inherits DataGridTextColumn Protected Overloads Overrides Function GenerateElement(ByVal oCell As DataGridCell, ByVal oDataItem As Object) As FrameworkElement Dim oElement = MyBase.GenerateElement(oCell, oDataItem) Return oElement End Function Protected Overloads Overrides Function GenerateEditingElement(ByVal oCell As DataGridCell, ByVal oDataItem As Object) As FrameworkElement Dim oUc As New UcSelect Dim oBinding As Binding = CType(Me.Binding, Binding) oUc.SetBinding(UcSelect.UcTextProperty, oBinding) Return oUc End Function End Class The column is used in xaml in the following way: <local:DerivedColumn Header="Usercontrol" Binding="{Binding FirstName, Mode=TwoWay}"></local:DerivedColumn> If I start my program all seems to be fine, but changes I make in the custom column are not reflected in the object (property "FirstName"), the changes are simply rolled back when leaving the cell. I think there must be something wrong with my GenerateEditingElement code, but have no idea ... Any Help would really be appreciated Regards Klaus
