• Help choosing the right data structure

  I need a data structure with the following requirements: Needs to be able to get elements by index (like a List). I will always just add / remove elements from the end of the structure. I am inclined to use an ArrayList. In this situation, it seems to be O(1) both to read elements (they always are?), remove elements (I only need to remove them at the end of the list) and to add(I only add to the end of the list). There is only the problem that time to time the ArrayList will have a performance penalty when it's completly full and I need to add more elements to it. Is there any other better idea? I don't think of a data structure that'd beat the ArrayList here. Thanks

• Tumblr - Custom Domain Help.

  I own the domain name, iamgabeaudick.com. It was my personal website, but I now want to use it as my tumblr domain. I've changed the DNS, and tumblr confirms that the domain is set up correctly. But when I access iamgabeaudick.com, a blank "Index of /" page appears. Any ideas why this is? Do I need to configure the ftp files in some way?

  Im creating application that will display remote page on the UIWebView using local images and javascript/css files for faster loading. I want to avoid using cache because for this to work it must first load all the content. I was searching online for possible solution. I have take a main div element and inside this i have take two more inner div. Then I have set one inner div style property float:left; and another div style property float:right.   I am new to SSL programming and finding some difficulties in understanding SSL concepts. I tried to get it through openssl site,but it is not much informative. Here is my doubts. What is difference between SSL Buffer and BIO buffer..? I mean layerwise detail will be very helpful. Can I use SSL_Write and SSL_Read without setting any BIO object to SSL object..? What exactly BIO_flush will do... I mean is it going to flush all the data to network buffer from BIO buffer.. ? If it is possible to do write and read data from SSL directly without using any BIO object then is it possible to flush the data from SSL buffer to network buffer by any means.. ? It would be very helpful if any body explain these things or giving any links where I can find answers to my questions.

I can do this with the first listing, but every listing after that isn't affected. how can i tell jquery that foreach letter apply the js code so it can toggle up/down the #show. I don't want to this 26 times (one time for each letter in the alphabet), I tried to use class instead of id but that causes all the #show to toggleup heh.

What I'm trying to accomplish is that when the label is updated by a button within the UITableviewcell, the text in the label is updated but with some smooth animation like sliding to the right since the updated text is prepended to the string. • Need help optimizing this Django aggregate query

  I have the following model class Plugin(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=50) # more fields which represents a plugin that can be downloaded from my site. To track downloads, I have class Download(models.Model): plugin = models.ForiegnKey(Plugin) timestamp = models.DateTimeField(auto_now=True) So to build a view showing plugins sorted by downloads, I have the following query: # pbd is plugins by download - commented here to prevent scrolling pbd = Plugin.objects.annotate(dl_total=Count('download')).order_by('-dl_total') Which works, but is very slow. With only 1,000 plugins, the avg. response is 3.6 - 3.9 seconds (devserver with local PostgreSQL db), where a similar view with a much simpler query (sorting by plugin release date) takes 160 ms or so. I'm looking for suggestions on how to optimize this query. I'd really prefer that the query return Plugin objects (as opposed to using values) since I'm sharing the same template for the other views (Plugins by rating, Plugins by release date, etc.), so the template is expecting Plugin objects - plus I'm not sure how I would get things like the absolute_url without a reference to the plugin object. Or, is my whole approach doomed to failure? Is there a better way to track downloads? I ultimately want to provide users some nice download statistics for the plugins they've uploaded - like downloads per day/week/month. Will I have to calculate and cache Downloads at some point? EDIT: In my test dataset, there are somewhere between 10-20 Download instances per Plugin - in production I expect this number would be much higher for many of the plugins.

  I'm going to ask a newbie question here. I need to use a control I found online in my code, but it was written in the wrong language. It is in C# and I am using VB.net for work. I have all of the code for the control which works beautifully in C#, but I had issues with it not working very well in VB. The source code and a demo project are available here, but I am not sure exactly which files I should use to build the dll for VB. It seems a lot to ask, but would someone mind taking a look and pointing me in the right direction? Cheers

Our criterion of “neatness” is as follows. If a given line contains words i through j , where i = j , and we leave exactly one space between words, the number of extra space characters at the end of the line is M - j + i -(k=i,k< j,k++) lk , which must be nonnegative so that the words fit on the line. We wish to minimize the sum, over all lines except the last, of the cubes of the numbers of extra space characters at the ends of lines. Give a dynamic-programming algorithm to print a paragraph of n words neatly on a printer. Analyze the running time and space requirements of your algorithm.

• Need help in typecasting string in to int
