  • Need help in filtering records based on radius value in solr

    Hi, I am using solr with Lucene spatial 2.9.1 as per http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-spatial/ I want to write a query, that will retrieve records within a given radius using hsin function, and using cartesian tiers as filters. So i wrote query like this http://localhost:8983/solr/select/?q=body:engineering colleges^0 AND _val_:"recip(hsin(0.227486,1.354193 , lat_rad, lng_rad, 4), 1, 1, 0)"^100 &&fq={!tier x=13.033993 y=77.589569 radians=false dist=4 prefix=tier_ unit=m} My records include many US records and few Indian records. For US records filtering based on radius is working fine. But for Indian records its not varying even if i change the radius . So can any one tell me if anything is wrong with the query or is there any configuration issues related to solr in order to make this work, or since record density is very less for Indian records filtering is not happening properly.Am not able to figure it out.   • Hide header if node body is empty - Drupal php snippet help

    Hello! I've made a content type for links, I'm trying to make a link directory. People only have to submit the link, description is voluntary. If no description is entered, I want the header that says "description" to disappear. The description field is the node body. Right now my snippet looks like this <?php if (!empty($node->body)) {?> <div class="field field-type-link field-field-link-archive"> <h3>Description</h3> <?php print $node->content['body']['#value'] ?></div> <?php }?> I expect this to check if node body is not empty, and if it isn't it'll print what's there. The problem is that the Description header is still printed out even if the node body is empty. Can anyone see what's wrong?

Essentially, I have to get the GID, of table 1 using info1, GID of table to , by mapping info2 and GID of table 1. And then get the GID of table 3 using info 3. And combine these to GIDs to get the value in table 4. What is the most optimal way of constructing an sql query for this one?

  • Scraping html WITHOUT uniquie identifiers using python

    I would like to design an algorithm using python that scrapes thousands of pages like this one and this one, gathers all the data and inserts it into a MySQL database. The script will be run on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to update the database of any new information added to each individual page. Ideally I would like a scraper that is easy to work with for table structured data but also data that does not have unique identifiers (ie. id and classes attributes). Which scraper add-on should I use? BeautifulSoup, Scrapy or Mechanize? Are there any particular tutorials/books I should be looking at for this desired result? In the long-run I will be implementing a mobile app that works with all this data through querying the database.

    I am working on a factorisation problem and for small numbers it is working well. I've been able to calculate the factors (getting the answers from Wolfram Alpha) for small numbers, like the one on the Wikipedia page (5959). Along with the Wikipedia page I have been following this guide. Once again, as my Math knowledge is pretty poor I cannot follow what I need to do next. EDIT: It finally works! I'll post the working code up here once I've got it fully working so that others in my predicament can learn from it.

    Hi, This is probably a very simple question but I'm new to nHibernate and I'm having trouble working this out. I have a Page object, which can have many Region objects. I also have a Workflow object. Page and Region objects both have a relationship to Workflow and it's this double association that I'm having trouble with. The PageMap has HasMany(Function(x) x.Regions).Cascade.All() And the RegionMap has: References(Function(x) x.Page) And this all seems to work. But how do I define the relationship between Workflow and these two objects?

    We have a simple datagrid. Each row has a checkbox. The checkbox is set to autopostback, and the code-behind has an event handler for the checkbox check-changed event. This all works as expected, nothing complicated. However, we want to disable the checkboxes as soon as one is checked to prevent a double submit i.e. check box checked, all checkboxes are disabled via client side javascript, form submitted.   • Help renaming svn repository

    Here is the deal: I created an SVN repository, say, foo. It is at http://www.example.com/foo. Then I did an svn checkout. I made some updates and changes to my local copy of the code over the week. I haven't committed yet. I realized that I wanted to rename the repository. So I did this: svn copy http://example.com/foo http://example.com/bar svn delete http://example.com/foo I finish my changes (and local svn still thinks I'm working under "foo".) svn commit fails because the repo has been renamed. I try to use svn switch --relocate but it yells at me because svn is awful. I try using the script here to replace "foo" with "bar" in my billion .svn/ folders. This replace is taking a long time. I wonder if something hung? Or maybe sshfs failed? I kill it. Ctrl-C. I look and see that half my files have "foo" and the others have "bar" in the URLs in the sundry .svn/ folders. All I want to do is commit my files with the new name. I could re-checkout the branch, but then I have no way to remember which files I changed, which is why I was using version control in the first place, and svn is so godawful at moving and renaming things. What do I need to do to: Have a "clean" copy of my "bar" svn branch? and, most importantly: Commit the changes I made?

    Right now I have a window with horizontal ad vertical scrollbars. I use these parameters to initialize it. //Set OGL Frame scroll bar SCROLLINFO inf; inf.cbSize = sizeof(SCROLLINFO); inf.fMask = SIF_PAGE | SIF_POS; inf.nPage = 20; inf.nPos = 30; It creates them in the center and I like their size, but when I scroll I multiply by 50 which creates chopiness. How could I add more resolution to the bars and still keep the same thumb size. Is there a way I can calculate the size and position of the bar based on the above parameters? Thanks

    I once read an article on how to properly write event handlers for multi-threading in Java, but I can't for the life of me find it anymore. It described the pitfalls and potentials for deadlocks that can occur when firing events (not Swing events mind you, but general events like model update notifications). To clarify, the situation would be as such: // let's say this is code from an MVC model somewhere public void setSomeProperty(String myProperty){ if(!this.myProperty.equals(myProperty)){ this.myProperty = myProperty; fireMyPropertyChangedEvent(...); } } The article described how passing control to arbitrary external listener code was a potential cause for deadlock. I now find myself in a situation where I need to fire such events in a multithreaded environment and I would very much like to read the article again to see what it has to say before I continue. Does anyone know the article I'm referring to? I believe it came as a (fairly short) PDF. It started off with an initial naive implementation and incrementally pointed out flaws and improved upon it. It ended with a sort of final proper-way-to-fire-multithreaded-events. I've searched endlessly in my browse history and on google, but all I could find were endless amounts topics on Swing event dispatch threads. Thank you.

    I'm building a word anagram program that uses a database which contains one simple table: Words --------------------- varchar(15) alphagram varchar(15) anagram (other fields omitted for brevity) An alphagram is the letters of a word arranged in alphabetical order. For example, the alphagram for OVERFLOW would be EFLOORVW. Every Alphagram in my database has one or more Anagrams.     Using VB6, I need to load a bitmap image and subsequently manipulate some of its data - specifically, I want to rotate a section within the image, and in the end keep the image intact with the rotated section. How do I (1) find out where an image gets loaded into memory (a physical address), and (2) in what format is it stored, a 1-D array, 2-D array, or what?     Im using OSX and having trouble getting a cron job to run. I type the following: $ sudo -i $ crontab -e I then enter: * * * * * root ifconfig en0 down > /dev/null 0 19 * * * root ifconfig en0 down > /dev/null 0 7 * * * root ifconfig en0 up > /dev/null and no success, the first line is for testing. I want it to shut off my internet. The next two lines I plan to leave in, once I get this working. If I type this in to the terminal the internet goes off ifconfig en0 down Why is my cron job not shutting down the internet? FYI: This is a follow up question from http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3027362/how-can-i-write-a-cron-job-that-will-block-my-internet-from-7pm-to-7am-so-i-can most of the comments there are people making fun of me. And a few attempts to solve the problem with out cron jobs.

  • java service could not be initialized (debugging help)

    I have a jar package that I wrote using netbeans. This package is called from other java file. The jar calls a webservice and is supposed to do something with it. Now everything works fine locally. I compiled the files and locally and uploaded them to the server and when I run it, I get the "Service could not be initialized".I am not sure how to debug this. I am pretty new to java. What is the best approach here to solve the issue?
