• Add jar to apache felix in Pom file?

  How can I add a jar to my bundle in Apache Felix? I am using maven, with maven-bundle-plugin to manage my bundles in OBR for me. But I am not sure where to declare the dependency inside my POM on the jar, so that maven correctly compiles it into the final bundle. • FluentNHibernate Overrides: UseOverridesFromAssemblyOf non-generic version

  Hi, I have a repository class that inherits from a generic implementation: public namespace RepositoryImplementation { public class PersonRepository : Web.Generics.GenericNHibernateRepository<Person> } The generic repository implementation uses Fluent NHibernate conventions. They're working fine. One of those conventions is that all properties are not nullable. Now I need to define that specific properties may be nullable outside the conventions. Fluent NHibernate has an interesting override mechanism: public namespace RepositoryImplementation { public class PersonMappingOverride : IAutoMappingOverride<Person> { public void Override(FluentNHibernate.Automapping.AutoMapping<Funcionario> mapping) { mapping.Map(x => x.PhoneNumber).Nullable(); } } } Now I need to register the override class into Fluent NHibernate. I have the following code in the Web.Generics.GenericNHibernateRepository generic class: AutoMap.AssemblyOf<Person>() .Where(type => type.Namespace == "Entities") .UseOverridesFromAssemblyOf<PersonMappingOverride>(); The problem is: UseOverridesFromAssemblyOf is a generic method, and I can't do something like that: .UseOverridesFromAssemblyOf<PersonMappingOverride>(); Because that would cause a circular reference. I don't want the generic repository to know the either repository or the mapping override class, because they vary from project to project. I see another solution: in the GenericNHibernateRepository class I can do this.GetType() and get the repository implementation type (e.g.: PersonRepository). However I can't call UseOverridesFromAssemblyOf() passing a type. Is there another way to configure overrides in FluentNHibernate? If not, how could I call UseOverridesFromAssemblyOf<T> without making the generic repository depend upon the repository implementation or the mapping override class? • Website (jQuery) consistently crashes Internet Explorer (REALLY STUCK!)

  Hey Guys. I posted this question yesterday, but haven't had a response. Basically, I'm totally stuck and clueless over crashing in Internet Explorer. The website now works fine in all browsers except internet explorer. The website is heavily reliant on jQuery and as far as I'm aware, I cant spot anything wrong with the script. Internet Explorer displays no errors and I don't know what I can possibly change. It displays fine, which would suggest that its nothing up with the CSS or HTML? I'm fairly sure it has to be the script, because it only crashes when you hover over one of the mouseover links. I'm already over the deadline and time is ticking! Its driving me crazy. I've uploaded it onto a test directory here: www.openyourheart.org.uk/test/index.html (I'll add the script/css links below as a comment, It wont let me post more than one here!) • Netbeans and EOF

  Hey there, Java, ANTLR and Netbeans newbie here. I have installed a jdk and netbeans. I started a new project on netbeans 6.8 and i have added the antlr-3.2.jar as a library. I also created a lexer and parser class using AntlrWorks. These classes are named ExprParser.java and ExprLexer.java. I copied them into a directory named path-to-netbeans-project/src/parsers. I have a main file: package javaapplication2; import org.antlr.runtime.*; import parsers.*; public class Main { public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception{ ANTLRInputStream input = new ANTLRInputStream(System.in); ExprLexer lexer = new ExprLexer(input); CommonTokenStream tokens = new CommonTokenStream(lexer); ExprParser parser = new ExprParser(tokens); parser.prog(); } } The application builds fine. The book I'm reading says I should run the program and type in some stuff and then press Ctrl+Z (I'm on windows) to send EOF to the console. Problem is that nothing happens when I press Ctrl+z in the netbeans console. When I run from the command line, ctrl+z works fine. This is probably WAY too much information, but I can't figure it out. Sorry. Probably not a good idea to learn 3 new technologies at once.

• Using httplib2 in python 3 properly? (Timeout problems)

  Hey, first time post, I'm really stuck on httplib2. I've been reading up on it from diveintopython3.org, but it mentions nothing about a timeout function. I look up the documentation, but the only thing I see is an ability to put a timeout int but there are no units specified (seconds? milliseconds? What's the default if None?) This is what I have (I also have code to check what the response is and try again, but it's never tried more than once) h = httplib2.Http('.cache', timeout=None) for url in list: response, content = h.request(url) more stuff... So the Http object stays around until some arbitrary time, but I'm downloading a ton of pages from the same server, and after a while, it hangs on getting a page. No errors are thrown, the thing just hangs at a page. So then I try: h = httplib2.Http('.cache', timeout=None) for url in list: try: response, content = h.request(url) except: h = httplib2.Http('.cache', timeout=None) more stuff... But then it recreates another Http object every time (goes down the 'except' path)...I dont understand how to keep getting with the same object, until it expires and I make another. Also, is there a way to set a timeout on an individual request? Thanks for the help!

• Using JBoss EL on Weblogic 11g (10.3.1.0)

  Hi, I have a facelets 1.2 application that I am running on Weblogic 11g. I want to use the JBoss EL implementation that allows me to call bean methods with arguments. For this, I have packaged the jboss-el-2.0.1.GA.jar in my WAR's WEB-INF/lib directory. I have also added a context-param in my web.xml to override the Sun implementation. <context-param> <param-name>com.sun.faces.expressionFactory</param-name> <param-value>org.jboss.el.ExpressionFactoryImpl</param-value> </context-param> But when I load a page that contains an expression like <ice:outputText value="#{errBean.getErrMsg(error.code)}"/> I get an expression parsing exception java.lang.Exception: javax.faces.FacesException: com.sun.el.parser.ParseException: Encountered "(" at line 1, column 25. • HTML5 <video> callbacks?

  I'm working on a site for a client and they're insistent on using HTML5's video tag as the delivery method for some of their video content. I currently have it up and running with a little help from http://videojs.com/ to handle the Internet Explorer Flash fallback. One thing they've asked me to do is, after the videos finish playing (they're all a different length), fade them out and then fade a picture in place of the video --- think of it like a poster frame after the video. Is this even possible? Can you get the timecode of a currently playing movie via Javascript or some other method? I know Flowplayer (http://flowplayer.org/demos/scripting/grow.html) has an onFinish function, is that the route I should take in lieu of the HTML5 video method? Does the fact that IE users will be getting a Flash player require two separate solutions? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently using jQuery on the site, so I'd like to keep the solution in that realm if at all possible. Thanks!

  I'm receiving this error on a page that previously worked fine, in fact the only change I've made to the page recently was to add another asp:TextBox and asp:RequiredFieldValidator control. • CSS background image being downloaded more than once

  I noticed in my current project that Firefox (3.5.4) downloads the background image (set in CSS) for my divs more than once. I've checked with both firebug and wireshark and it really does appear that it does not wait for the first request to finish and then simply use the cached version. Wireshark also confirms that Chrome and IE8 do as expected and only request the image once. Any ideas what might be causing this?   Hi, I'm using Hibernate with annotations (in spring), and I have an object which has an ordered, many-to-one relationship which a child object which has a composite primary key, one component of which is a foreign key back to the id of the parent object. The error I get when I try to read one of these objects (they seem to save OK), I get an error of this form: org.hibernate.exception.SQLGrammarException: could not initialize a collection: ... And the root cause is this: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Unknown column 'attrs0_.id' in 'field list' I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but the documentation is not clear on this matter, and I haven't been able to find any examples of this anywhere else.   I am working on survey of state-of-the-art and trends of spam prevention techniques. I observe that non-intrusive, transparent to visitor spam prevention techniques (like context-based filtering or honey traps) are frequently called non-captcha. Is it correct understanding of term CAPTCHA which is "type of challenge-response [ 2 ]test used in computing to ensure that the response is not generated by a compute" [ 1 ] and challenge-response does not seem to imply obligatory human involvement. So, which understanding (definition) of term and classification I'd better to stick with? How would I better call CAPTCHA without direct human interaction in order to avoid ambiguity and confusion of terms understnding? How would I better (succinctly and unambiguously) coin the term for captchas requiring human interaction but without typing into textbox? How would I better (succinctly and unambiguously) coin the terms to mark the difference between human interaction with images (playing, drag&dropping, rearranging, clicking with images) vs. just recognizing them (and then typing into a textbox the answer without interaction with images)? PS. The problem is that recognition of a wiggled word in an image or typing the answer to question is also interaction and when I start to use the terms "interaction", "interactive", "captcha", "protection", "non-captcha", "non-interactive", "static", "dynamic", "visible", "hidden" the terms overlap ambiguously with which another (especailly because the definitions or their actual practice of usage are vague or contradictive). • How to ask BeanUtils to ignore null values

  Using Commons beanUtils I would like to know how to ask any converter say the Dateconverter to ignore null values and use null as default. This looks a very primitive scenario to me which should be handled by default (as in, I would expect x2 to have null value for date1). The doco tells me that I can ask the converter to do this. Can someone point me as to the best way for doing this ? I dont want to get hold of the Converter and isUseDefault() to be true because then I have to do it for all Date, Enum and many other converters !

  I'm trying to transfer some user information in the header of the message through message inspectors. I have created a behavior which adds the inspector to the service (both client and server). But when I try to communicate with the service I get the following error: XmlException: Name cannot begin with the '<' character, hexadecimal value 0x3C. I have also get exception telling me that DataContracts where unexpected. Type 'System.DelegateSerializationHolder+DelegateEntry' with data contract name 'DelegateSerializationHolder.DelegateEntry:http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/System' is not expected. Consider using a DataContractResolver or add any types not known statically to the list of known types - for example, by using the KnownTypeAttribute attribute or by adding them to the list of known types passed to DataContractSerializer. The thing is that my object contains other objects which are marked as DataContract and I'm not interested adding the KnownType attribute for those types. Another problem might be that my object to serialize is very restricted in form of internal class and internal properties etc. Can anyone guide me in the right direction. What I'm I doing wrong?   I am having an issue calling a RESTful service from my client code. I have written the RESTful service using CXF/Jackson, deployed to localhost, and tested using RESTClient successfully. However, when I attempt to call this service from Java Script, I get the error below on the server side: Caused by: org.codehaus.jackson.JsonParseException: Unexpected character ('m' (code 109)): expected a valid value (number, String, array, object, 'true', 'false' or 'null') I have copied the client side code below. To make sure it has nothing to do with the JSON data itself, I used a valid JSON string (which works using RESTClient, JSON.parse() method, and JSONLint) in the vars 'json' (string) and 'jsonData' (JSON). • Red Box is not working

  Hi , I have install the Red box plugin by using the following command script/plugin install svn://rubyforge.org/var/svn/ambroseplugins/redbox . It installed successfully. and again ran the following command the following location /myapp/vendor/plugin/redbox/rake update_scripts . It shows me the following output (in /myapp/vendor/plugins/redbox) rake aborted! private method `copy' called for File:Class /home/myapp/vendor/plugins/redbox/Rakefile:28 (See full trace by running task with --trace) I don't know How to solve this ... Then i understand that "rake update_scripts" copying the Js and Css file only. so i manually copied the Redbox.js & redbox.css files into the respective places under /public folder I include the follwoing into my application.html.erb <%= stylesheet_link_tag 'redbox' % <%= javascript_include_tag :defaults % <%= javascript_include_tag 'redbox' % It included in the page successfully. • Is using a StringBuilder for writing XML ok?
