• Hiding part of a page from Search Server 2010 Express

  I'm working on a soon-to-be-public-facing site, and we want to have our search live on day 1, and want it to be searchable but non-public during testing, so we're planning to use something whose crawling we can control -- Search Server 2010 Express. However, if I search for something in my top navigation bar, I get nearly every page as a hit. It kinda makes sense, as every page has that content, but it's completely irrelevant on most pages. I want it to crawl through my navigation, but ignore the text within the navigation for search results. I was hoping that it'd just figure that out on it's own (the HTML for the top nav is static), but it's apparently not. Is there some standard thing I can put in my HTML that will achieve the effect I'm going for? On a side note: when I go live, will I have the same problem with public search engines, or do they tend to be smarter?

  i was looking how to inject a dll into a program (exe, or dll, etc). i have been googleing dll injecting but i have not found anything that is very helpful :(. i have not worked with dlls very much so im not sure on what to do, i really could use some help on this. uhh the only thing i have really found is setwindowshookex but i can't find any examples for it and i don't how to use it. any questions just ask and i'll try to help. • How can chunks be allocated in a node.js stream in object mode all at once?

  I can see how buffers, and strings can be sent as chunks, but I'm having a problem thinking about how streams can be dealt when working in object mode. Say I have a byte stream from an http request message. I want to take that message, parse, and then transform it into one big object. I already know how to parse the message. What I'm wondering is if the message is big so it has many chunks, but I want to make one object for the output how can I make sure the data event waits for the whole thing? Is this just a matter of not using the push method until the chunked data has finished being sent? That would then restrict the stream data output to a smaller object which I think I'm fine with for now. As an added condition the larger data will be reduced in size after the the transform.

  I'm reading some docs about MDM. According to "Moile device management protocol" document, server can set config for managed devices by installing profile files onto devices. Things that can config in that file are described in https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/featuredarticles/iphoneconfigurationprofileref/Introduction/Introduction.html. My Questions are: if server install 2 profiles that have different config for the same thing, what will happen? "Moile device management protocol" documents also mention about "Managed App Configuration and Feedback". So what is different between the previous config file with this function of server. Is "Managed App Configuration and Feedback" just for specific app, not for the whole device as profile files. which fields can be config via "Managed App Configuration and Feedback" of MDM?   I figured out that in order to turn [some name] into [some_name] I need to use the following expression: s/\(\[[^ ]*\) /\1_/ i.e. create a backreference capture for anything that starts with a literal '[' that contains any number of non space characters, followed by a space, to be replaced with the non space characters followed by an underscore. What I don't know yet though is how to alter this expression so it works for ALL underscores within the braces e.g. [a few words] into [a_few_words]. I sense that I'm close, but am just missing a chunk of knowledge that will unlock the key to making this thing work an infinite number of times within the constraints of the first set of []s contained in a line (of SQL Server DDL in this case). Any suggestions gratefully received....

• Cannot debug tests using Resharper

  Hi, I'm not able to debug my tests using Resharper-Debug option in my project. I have seen this issue raised by lots of people, but has't come across a solid suggestion which solves my issue. The strange thing is that, if I create a sample project and write a simple unit test, I'm able to debug it without any issues.However when I try to do this in my current project, it simply throws a dialog box saying "Cannot Launch Debugger".I have checked this with my peers, and they does't face this issue :( Also I don't have any issues while running the test. • why i'm permanently logged off my be

  Hello i have a problem with BE in my system. I'm permanently and automaticly logged out it after some time. 10-15 seconds, sometimes faster, sometimes slower. It's not connected with beeing idle cause I can be logged off even when I'm checking page tree or saving records I've set lock ip on 1 but it didn't help. The problem is most common under Firefox or Chome, what is strange under internet explorer i don't see it as often Other strange thing is that I see it on my live version but when I'm working on my local copy it doen not occure TYPO3 version 4.6.4

• Hibernate entities stored as HttpSession attribute values

  I'm dealing with a legacy Java application with a large, fairly messy codebase. There's a fairly standard 'User' object that gets stored in the HttpSession between requests, so the servlets do stuff like this at the top: HttpSession session = request.getSession(true); User user = (User)session.getAttribute("User"); The old user authentication layer (which I won't describe; suffice to say, it did not use a database) is being replaced with code mapped to the DB with Hibernate. So 'User' is now a Hibernate entity. My understanding of Hibernate object life cycles is a little fuzzy, but it seems like storing 'User' in the HttpSession now becomes a problem, because it will be retrieved in a different transaction during the next request. What is the right thing to be doing here? Can I just use the Hibernate Session object's update() method to reattach the User instance the next time around? Do I need to?

• Google search is not working in web browser control

  Hello, I have developed a browser using the standard WebBrowser control in my application that is built against CF 3.5. Google search is not working in the browser. That is when i navigate to www.google.co.in and type a keyword and click on the serach button nothing is happening. Outside the application from the device if i try the same thing in IE am getting a security warning dialog box and if ok is clicked search results are shown. So in my case do i need to set property on the webbrowser control. Thanks in advance

• Clear all currently defined vim macros

  Hi everyone I have a vim macro that I keep mistyping, usually when I'm trying to save something so I do it quickly and I can't work out what keys I pressed. It is annoying as it pastes some irrelevant bash code into my file so I have to undo the erroneous pasting which also undos the last thing I typed that I do want. I was looking for a way to either list the currently defined macros (so I can redefine the offending one), or a way to clear out them completely. I only use macros in the very short term so I don't mind losing them all. Cheers

• how to get audio frequency data from a wave file?

  I want to build a speech recognition engine in ruby. I know i'll never get there, doing it just for fun. I need to get data for the frequencies of the sound stored in a wav file to compare with data i already have of different sounds that i want to recognize. I will write the code in ruby but i dont think there are any libraries for this written in ruby, they would be too slow if there were any anyway. The good thing about ruby is I'll be able to use libraries for .net via IronRuby or Java via Jruby. How can i get the frequency data?

• Better to extend a class or modify it directly?

  Hi, So I'm working on creating a visualization for a data structure in Java. I already have the implementation of the data structure (Binary Search Tree) to start with, but I need to add some additional functionality to the included node class. As far as conventions and best practices are concerned, should I create a subclass of the node with this added functionality or should I just modify what I have and document it there? My question is similar to what's asked here but that's a little over my head. I know it probably doesn't matter much for what I'm doing, so I'm asking this more as a general thing.

  I'm building a special listbox control that our designers want customized in some tweaky ways. One thing they want to see is that the middle button-drag does what the left button-drag normally does (we are repurposing left-drag to other things). So it needs the two key features that left-drag does in a ListBox default implementation: While holding down the button and dragging, the selection starts where I click down and extends to where I drag. While dragging outside the listbox region, it scrolls if there is scrollable space in that direction. Before I go an duplicate this functionality by hand, is there any easy way to fool ListBox into thinking it's getting left-mouse drag events but instead is getting middle-mouse?

• 404 on custom post types after updating Wordpress to 3.7

  Since I updated Wordpress from 3.6 to 3.7, I'm not able to visit the single-pages on my custom post types, then I get a 404 error. I thought this would be a rewrite_rules issue, so I've tried the following: -Go to the Permalink settings, click save (flush rewrites) -Manually deleted the rewrite_rules from the option table in the DB (I was desparate, and it seriously worked for me one time) -Re-check my .htaccess, but this is the exactly same as instructed on the permalink page -switched off the plugins I also tried switching the permalink to the "ugly" url (eg. ?page=35) and check if the articles worked, and they did! So I'm pretty sure it's a permalink issue. Now I rolled back to 3.6 again, but I of course want to upgrade in the near future (security etc.). A remarkable thing was that during the rollback I checked out a single page (notice that I didn't rolled back the database yet, only the files) and surprisingly they worked again. Any suggestions on how to solve this?

And the goal is to create a universal installer that will be checking user's registry for specific apps installed and according to these apps would create a list of available installation components in "Select Components" window. And that's the particular problem I'm stacked with. I've already created the installer, but a user have to check/uncheck components he doesn't need because he doesn't use specific app. That is definitely not a good way of doing thing I guess... So I'm asking for help, please. Could this be implemented through "Select Components" window and how or I should create custom wizard page with checkboxes (again - How)? Many thx in advance.

  Basically, is there a way to write a.children('.outer').children('.inner') without the intermediate selector? I can't write $('.outer > .inner', a) because I don't want to do full-depth search against a — I know that the .outer elements are immediate children of a. It's partly a matter of "elegance", but partly because I'm trying to avoid "throwaway" element sets. Yes, jQuery may in effect do the same thing, but it has a better chance of optimizing (at least in theory), when it knows the full query's intent.

• Best way to move a bunch of SQL Server 2005 tables to another Server?

  I've been looking for a way to move a bunch of tables, more than 40, to another server with all the data in them. I've looked around for scripts to generate inserts but so far I'd have to run them once for every table, then copy all the scripts over and then run them on the server. Seems like there is a better way. --Update-- My strategy for doing this may have been for naught. The end script, using MS SQL Server Publishing Wizard and Red Gates SQL Data Compare (excellent tool, btw) results in a file over 1GB. This makes my system plead for mercy and I'm not willing to risk crashing a clients server just opening the file to run it. I may have to rethink this whole thing and break down to just individual per table scripts. I'm not looking forward to that.

• Toggle Image Overlays in Google Maps API v3

  Hey guys. I've been building a small library for myself for a job I have at the moment building a map for a university. I've gotten pretty well everything I need in some basic form, but one thing has simply not been working, and is simply not giving me results. The university itself is sort of in a partnership with the neighboring college. It's been decided that both campuses should be included. I need to be able to toggle on/off the overlays of the campuses individually. i.e. Start with all campuses ON. User then turns OFF college campus, university overlay stays up. User can then turn it back on to display the college once more, or turn off the university as well, leaving no overlays. Here's a work in progress I'm doing at the moment: http://bgsweb.ca/maps/generator.html Basically, we need to take the one overlay, split it into multiple overlays, and enable the toggling of each individual overlay.   I created a particle System in OpenGl that's working great. When I want to get a burning effect of a fire or a beam or something(Where the system kind of "glows" and fuses all the colors together) I use this method call with OpenGL. glBlendFunc(GL_SRC_ALPHA,GL_SRC_ALPHA) glBlendFunc(GL_DST_ALPHA,GL_ONE) I'm now trying to do the same thing using Direct3D Here is what I have tried: graphicsDevice->SetRenderState(D3DRS_ALPHABLENDENABLE, TRUE); graphicsDevice->SetRenderState(D3DRS_SRCBLEND, D3DBLEND_SRCALPHA); graphicsDevice->SetRenderState(D3DRS_DESTBLEND, D3DBLEND_ONE); but this has absolutely no effect at all on the look of my game! Anyone have a clue what could be the problem?

• where to store information like gender and year of birth?

  i have users and i need them to specify a gender (male, female) and year of birth (1930, 1931...1999, 2000). i wonder where i should store these values: in the database? in php file? if i store them in the database i have to manually create all entries first. but a good thing is that the user table will have constraints so the gender field will always be male or female, it cannot be something else. if i store them in the php file (eg. as html) then i can easily add/remove values. but a con is that i dont have the constraints in database, so another value could be stored as gender by mistake, even though i could add validation in php backend so even if someone hacked the html it is not stored unless it's either male or female. what is best practice to do this? thanks
