  • .net OpenFileDialog changing the CurrentDirectory

    Hi, I am using OpenFileDialog. But using it changes the Environment.CurrentDirectory. Using the RestoreDirectory property solves this issue, but I'm using external dlls that I can't control that don't use RestoreDirectory. Is there a way to make it true as default? Or is there any other solution to this annoying problem? Thanks.

CopyOnWriteArrayList implements the List interface. Why does covariance not apply on return values in Java?

  • Trying to include a library, but keep getting 'undefined reference to' messages

    I am attempting to use the libtommath library. I'm using the NetBeans IDE for my project on Ubuntu linux. I have downloaded and built the library, I have done a 'make install' to put the resulting .a file into /usr/lib/ and the .h files into /usr/include It appears to be finding the files appropriately (since I no longer get those errors, which I did before installing into the /usr directories). However, when I create a simple main making a call to mp_init (which is in the library), I get the following error when I attempt to make my project: mkdir -p build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86 rm -f build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o.d gcc -c -g -MMD -MP -MF build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o.d -o build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o main.c mkdir -p dist/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86 gcc -o dist/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/cproj1 build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o build/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/main.o: In function 'main': /home/[[myusername]]/NetBeansProjects/CProj1/main.c:18: undefined reference to `mp_init' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [dist/Debug/GNU-Linux-x86/cproj1] Error 1 So, it looks like the linker can't find the function within the library, however it IS there, so I just don't know what could be causing this. Any help would be appreciated. I get the same error if I type the gcc command directly and skip the makefile, I also made sure the static library got compiled with gcc as well. If the library isn't being found how on earth do I get it to find the library? It's in /usr/lib, I've tried it with the .a file in the current directory, etc. Is there an environment variable I need to set? If so, how, etc. Thanks so much for the help. I've tried a completely different library (GMP) and had the EXACT same problem. This has got to be some kind of Ubuntu environment issue? Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

    Hi, I installed Tomcat 6.0.18 on Windows 2003 as a service. I try to set the CATALINA_OPTS environment variable but it seems to be ignored by Tomcat. Do I need to use the Tomcat Service Manager (procrun) instead? Is it normal that if I install Tomcat as a service it doesn't see the enviroment variables but it only wotks with procrun? THANKS

  • How to create custom asp.net validator that works with UpdatePanel?

    I think that subject summs it pretty well... I have created my custom validators that work great when I put them on page in design mode. However if I place them in a usercontrol, and then try to add this user control to the parent page via updatepanel, then my custom validators just won't trigger. They simply don't work. Does anyone have any clue on what I have to do here? .net 3.5

    I currently have a site that is a sidescroller (http://www.studioimbrue.com) and I'm trying to bind a mousewheel to scroll sideways. Currently I'm using the one found at thehorizontalway.com but it doesn't seem to work in all browsers (Chrome). I'm trying to get this one to work: http://brandonaaron.net/code/mousewheel/docs , to simply scroll the whole window, nothing else. There is very limited documentation so I can't figure it out.     When using ANT to build my Java application I keep getting this error. I have tried multiple times to use SQLJDBC.JAR and SQLJDBC4.JAR but continually receive this error message. I am completely stumpped why this error is received even after upgrading to sqljdbc4.jar. [javadoc] java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.6 is not supported by this driver. Use the sqljdbc4.jar class library, which provides support for JDBC 4.0.

  • Is it possible to use XP visual styles (*.msstyles) or Windows Blinds in a thinapp portable applicat

    It's been a while since I made a portable (Office 2007) Thinapp application, and since then I've uninstalled VMWare from my machine to free up space, so I'd like to know if someone already knows the answer to this before I set up everything again to try it. I'm thinking of installing a visual style (*.msstyles, for XP) along with the application to thinapp before post-setup capture. Failing that, maybe I'll try with visual mods such as Windows Blinds. The purpose is to be able to run a portable application with a specific visual style. So my question is: Is it possible? (I believe it somehow is, since VirtualBox does something similar to XP Mode) If it is, will it work on a computer with the "classic" Windows style? If it's not, will it work with another virtualization software? (Xenocode?) If it's not possible with *.msstyles, will it work with visual mods such as Windows Blinds? Thanks for any input!   • Invoking cl.exe (MSVC compiler) in Cygwin shell

    I'm heavily using Cygwin (with Putty shell). But, it's quite tricky to invoke cl.exe (i.e., Visual C++ compiler toolchain) in the Cygwin bash shell. Running vcvars*.bat in the bash shell doesn't work obviously. I tried to migrate VC++'s environment variables to Cygwin, but it's not that easy. Is there anyone who ever tried to run VC++ compiler in Cygwin bash shell? Thanks, JJ

  • ownCloud WebDAV interface seems to be broken

    I've been trying to host ownCloud on my server but everytime I try to it tells me this : Your web server is not yet properly setup to allow files synchronization because the WebDAV interface seems to be broken. Please double check the installation guides. This is my setup : Windows Server 2012 R2 IIS 8.5 PHP 5.5.11 ownCloud 6.0.3 MySQL 5.6.17 I tried google the error but I can't seem to find anything usefull. Some say I should try if this works : https://cloud.mcsoftworks.net/remote.php/webdav/ and yes I can navigate to this folder and I can open files from there. The calendar works and I can also just upload files from here https://cloud.mcsoftworks.net/ the only thing that doesn't seem to work is the sync client.   • exim4 to relay emails

    I have exim4 installed on a Linux box. The basics work fine and I can send email from that machine without any problem to whatever email address. I also have a printer/scanner which is capable to send scans as emails. It needs an SMTP gateway to be able to do that. So I give the IP address of that Linux box, changed the configuration a little bit but still cannot get it to work. After I run dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config, here is what I get in /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf : dc_eximconfig_configtype='internet' dc_other_hostnames='' dc_local_interfaces='127.0.0.1;192.168.2.2' dc_readhost='' dc_relay_domains='mycompanyemail.com' dc_minimaldns='false' dc_relay_nets='192.168.2.0/24' dc_smarthost='' CFILEMODE='644' dc_use_split_config='false' dc_hide_mailname='' dc_mailname_in_oh='true' dc_localdelivery='mail_spool' My problem is that with this configuration, I can only send to emails @mycompanyemail.com... It says I can use wildcard, but when I do that, the '*' is replaced by whatever filename is in the directory where I run all that. How can I configure it to be able to send emails with any domain ? Or am I doing it wrong ? EDIT : here is the part of the log that's causing trouble : 2011-08-03 16:28:18 H=(NPI2D389C) [192.168.2.20] F=<[email protected]> rejected RCPT <[email protected]>: relay not permitted The first part ([email protected]) does not matter. I changed the email address. The point is that if this email is @mycompanyemail.com then everything works fine. Anything else does not work. I could add gmail.com, but I am looking to have any domain working...

    I want to grep an environment variable env | grep ABC_IJK[1,2] currenlty defined variables are like this ABC_IJK1=123 ABC_IJK1_XYZ=sn123:345 ABC_IJK2=999 ABC_IJK2_XYZ=sn321:999 I only want to get only this ABC_IJK1=123 ABC_IJK2=999 get number of connections sum them(not 123 + 999) and save in N1 (this one has 2 connection) so N1=2 get number of connections sum them and save in N2 for other machine (if this have four) so N2=4 If the value is not there or the variable is not present then N1=1 for below: ABC_IJK1= ABC_IJK2=123 Then need to compare it with a MAX_CONNECTION variable Thanks
