• Cocoa Touch - setting text of header of UITableView

  Hey all, I'm trying to set the title of the header of my entire UITableView, but am having no success. For example, on this webpage: http://www.iphonesdkarticles.com/2009/01/uitableview-sectioned-table-view.html I am trying to replicate creating the "Countries" header programmatically. I have a UITableView that works and displays data. When I insert the following line: self.navigationItem.title = @"Countries"; In my viewDidLoad method, nothing happens. Thoughts?

  I'm attempting to check if a value exists in the choices tuple set for a model field. For example lets say I have a Model like this: class Vote(models.Model): VOTE_TYPE = ( (1, "Up"), (-1, "Down"), ) value = models.SmallIntegerField(max_length=1, choices=VOTE_TYPES) Now lets say in a view I have a variable new_value = 'Up' that I would like to use as the value field in a new Vote. How can I first check to see if the value of that variable exists in the VOTE_TYPE tuple? Thank you.

When I open this project in Blend, it seems I can only really style the top-most DataTemplate (via right-click the TreeView in the Objects/Timeline view, Edit Additional Templates-Edit Generated Items (ItemTemplate) - Edit Current). How does it compares to using a traditional dependency injection framework such as Spring for wiring classes together.   I want to animate the scaling down of a UIView, but not about its center: about a different point. As a shot in the dark, I tried translating the view, scaling, then translating back, using a series of CGAffineTransforms. But it doesn't work: it still scales about the center. • Identifying and removing null characters in UNIX

  I have a text file containing unwanted null characters. When I try to view it in I see ^@ symbols, interleaved in normal text. How can I: a) Identify which lines in the file contains null characters? I have tried grepping for \0 and \x0, but this did not work. b) Remove the null characters? Running strings on the file cleaned it up, but I'm just wondering if this is the best way? Thanks

  The UIAlertViewDelegate protocol defines two methods, alertView:clickedButtonAtIndex: and alertView:didDismissWithButtonIndex:, which seem to me to be identical in usefulness. Why is there a clickedButtonAtIndex and a didDismissButtonWithIndex when they both do the same thing? I realize there is also a willDismissButtonWithIndex that happens before the alert view is dismissed, but is there any reason to use clickedButtonAtIndex instead of didDismissButtonWithIndex?

• UIImageView dimensions not what I set in IB

  I set a UIImageView to 70x70 pixels. In the actual view they look 70px high and 30 wide. This is when there is no source UIImage set and with a background color so I can see it's layout. However, when I do set a UIImage to it the layout does not change, remains portrait. Is there something I am overlooking that affects the layout dimensions of a UIImage or UIImageView? Thanks.

• Drupal Views display newest content per taxonomy limit to one node

  Hi, I want to create a view where all 5 of my taxonomy terms are displayed and it then displays the latest node published but this is limited by 1. For Example: Tax Term 1 Latest node published Tax Term 2 Latest node published etc etc Currently I'm grouping by taxonomy term so it's displaying all nodes published then sorted by published date desc. I can't quite figure out how to limit the nodes to only show one item per taxonomy term. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
