I have been looking at the TFS Integration Platform http://tfsintegration.codeplex.com/ and also Visual Studio 2010 TFS Upgrade Guide vs2010upgradeguide.codeplex.com Looking at the document TFS Integration Platform - Migration Guidance.xps using the first link, it seems to suggest that I could preserve all the data by first migrating the TFS 2008 from one server to the other and then upgrade the TFS 2008 to 2010.     We have a managed app, that uses an assembly. That assembly uses some unmanaged C++ code. The Managed C++ code is in a dll, that depends on several other dlls. All of those Dlls are loaded by this code. As near as I can understand it, as soon as we attempt to use an ImageDoc object, the dll that contains that assembly is loaded and as part of that load, the static constructor is called which in turn causes several other DLLs to be loaded as well. What I'm trying to figure out, is how do we defer loading of those DLLs so that we don't run smack dab into this loader lock that is being kicked out because of the static constructor. I would prefer to not have to put this kind of knowledge of the dlls into every app that uses this assembly. (And I'm not sure that would even fix the problem.... The strange thing is that the exception only appears to be happening while running within the debugger, not while running outside the debugger.

  • jQuery: How can I check if a block in my document is inside the viewport or outside of it?

    I am basically trying to trigger a function if the footer is inside the viewport. How can I check whether the footer is currently visible in the viewport? I assume I will have to put it into the $(window).scroll() event so that the listener becomes true once the footer becomes visible but what the function should be I just can't figure out.     I've been trying to track the progress of a file upload but keep on ending up at dead ends (uploading from a C# application not a webpage). So I tried using HttpWebRequest to stream the data instead (I know this is not the exact equivalent of a file upload as it does not produce multipart/form-data content but it does serve to illustrate my problem). I also tried setting SendChunked to true (with and without setting the ContentLength as well). It seems like the data still gets cached before being sent over the network. Is there something wrong with one of these approaches or is there perhaps another way I can track the progress of file uploads from a windows application?

So I want to specify an IE-only rule that makes the border a different color than white.     I'm trying to integrate Spring 3.0.5 with Jersey 1.4. I seem to have everything working, but whenever I try and return a Viewable that points to a JSP, I get a 404 error.     I've got some tests that need to count the number of warnings raised by a function. In Python 2.6 this is simple, using with warnings.catch_warnings(record=True) as warn: ... self.assertEquals(len(warn), 2) Unfortunately, with is not available in Python 2.4, so what else could I use? I can't simply check if there's been a single warning (using warning filter with action='error' and try/catch), because the number of warnings is significant.

    I have the following code snippet that basically scans through the list of task that needs to be executed and each task is then given to the executor for execution. The JobExecutor intern creates another executor (for doing db stuff...reading and writing data to queue) and completes the task. JobExecutor returns a Future for the tasks submitted. When one of the task fails, I want to gracefully interrupt all the threads and shutdown the executor by catching all the exceptions.
